Is this about the little sister question? I didn't even find that inflammatory at all. He was expecting hateful responses from that? Or am I missing something?

GuardianAngel's first sentence was "I want you to know that I am not trolling and that I mean no offense to any of you for your liking Tali as a LI". That already puts him on neutral ground. But then again, he said Liara had mental problems, a fact, but then said Tali seems like a little sister, an opinion. What was the opinionary observation GuardianAngel made in the Liara thread that would bring hostility? They couldn't possibly be angry at saying Liara has mental problems...she clearly does.

Earlier today I did something on this thread and the people here responded more than favorably.  There was a lot of class.  I was expecting something of an inflammatory response with possible threats being exchanged.  I figured the tali thread people had more reason than the Liara thread people to be defensive and that because of that they would respond with as much or more vehemence to my questions.  Instead I got nothing but class.

Well you know if you try hard enough you can get that response from anybody. 10 more minutes of your probing and we woulda had a big discussion but yeah from the 2 dozen or so regulars on here they have some class. Raging hormones as well but not mentally unstable.

Like that kid in Taiwan who killed a Taxi driver cuz of GTA4 so they banned the game in the whole country? He was a freak, but 99.999% of the rest of the gamers can tell fantasy from reality so wasn't fair to them.

I know, but it only took the Liara thread four pages to get to threats to my safety.  After four pages here I had a clear winner.

But you know, seeing her sitting in the back seat, not saying anything, as Garrus and I discussed killing that guy, just made her seem a bit, little sister-ish.

I didn't get a sister vibe there.  I've been in that situation before.  Where you really aren't needed, and its kind of just awkward being there in general.  It sucks when you get trapped like that.  It was an emotional moment for Garrus, I'm sure Tali just wanted to stay out of the way.  I feel like that's the logical way to act for either a little sister or LI type.

I never got the little sister vibe either, I did from Mission Vao, but never from Tali.

He said that she had mental problems, some responded well, others freaked out and made epic flamming textwalls

Then they went on to talk about how because Liara couoldn't die and how Tali was so important in ME2 that Tali's time was over and she was dead to the story

I don't think Liara has mental problems. First game she's just sort of a bookworm-y indiana jones wallflower with some issues with her mom, and the second game she's after some good ol' fashioned vengance. Not crazy pants.



Tali being dead to the plot because she can possibly die is silly, though.

Actually, that is exactly what they were angry about.  The objective observer sees mental problems, many of them saw love.  Difference of opinion that i tried to dissuade with my personal experience with getting over a mental disorder.  You can read the whole discussion on the Liara thread, it starts at page 442.
