I'm sure, and I'm not saying my experiment somehow captures all Tali fans and what their reactions would be.  I'll be the first to tell you that there were all sorts of things wrong with my experiment that would have immediately invalidated the results were I trying to publish it in a peer reviewed journal.  I just was curious about the Tali thread and I tried to minimize the number of variables that were beyond my control.

Well generally taking the word of few and applying it to a much larger group is a hasty generalization that really does not yield valid results. It will certainly give you and idea of what some think, but a much more extensive study is required to get results that are actually applicable.

Tali fans have a reputation of being obsessed and overly defensive, and the people who normally reply are indeed the eccentric ones. Liara fans are no different, it's just that we have the most apparent fanbase. Not all Tali fans are obsessed, and not all Liara fans are defensive.

But taking a long-term survey seems like a hassle, and one that really serves no real purpose for that matter.

I agree that my experiment was ambiguous ethically, but it isn't like I gave you all anthrax in your water to see what would happen.  No one was harmed, and the posters at the time took it very well.

And secondly, I approve heartily. If people allow themselves to get provoked on the internet, they deserve it. Nothing else needs to be said.

Not difficult to see the logic in experiment. Even if it's on some level of provocation, it was done to both parties yet will receive different results. I don't hate Liara or Liaramancers less because a handful of them took offense to something miniscule, but it's an interesting experiment nontheless. At the moment people think we're smug poll-destroyers!

And concerning the newly asked question regarding Tali's clothing color scheme, I will invent a new term/saying:

Dat violet!

I tried not to say anything inflammatory, just things that could be easily misconstrued. That was what I did unintentionally in the Liara thread prompting the reaction I got.

Here is what I think of trolling;
Trolls are eating a big bull**** sandwich, and they are offering you some of that sandwich. Ignore them, or else you'll end up taking the biggest bites of bull**** sandwich. And everyone will think of how silly you were to eat a bull**** sandwich.

I love black an red, and I loved when I got to equip my entire team in it in ME1.  It was a plus that the armor happened to be the best in the game from Hardcore down.

Black and red seems too dark [evil] to me. Sometimes, anyways.

Yeah me too. In ME3 we should be able to visit one of those quarians ships that loiter above drive discharge planets and sell refreshments and knick knacks that their kids make. There are probably some dancers on one of those ships.
