My problem was playing as maleshep first....couldn't bring myself to romance Garrus 'cause he seemed like a cool brother by the time I made my femshep
Oddly enough, had I played through as femshep first, I'd probably be thinking of Tali as the cool sis...funny how things work out

I'd vote Thane as best female romance actually. Kaidan and Jacob were....dull

Quick question, I posed this in the FEMSHEP support thread. I mainly play as femsheps because I am weirded out by Meer's voice. HOWEVER, I played as a Femshep first. Is there anyone who tried out a manshep or femshep then switched over to another and prefered the VA for that, or are have you been locked into your preference since your first playthrough?

I disagree but I understand the love of one VA over another.

I could go on for quite a while about Jack.  It'd be her every time if not for Tali.  I may or may not be a sucker for girls who are going to turn my life into flaming wreckage (see also:  Morrigan).

Generally people are attached to their first paythrough. IMO males will prefer Meer and females will prefer Hale, some will cross, but majority I think go that way.

Hale just delivers the lines in a totally different way.  To me, it sounds like she's desperately trying to prove something, and Meer is just acting natural.  But I don't begrudge people their preference.

I've been locked since my first playthrough.  I fell in love with Hale's depiction of Shepard.  I played Femshep initially as I am female myself though I'm not opposed to playing male characters.  I just love Hale's VO for FemShep.  In a game like Dragon Age, I can play both genders no problem though I still prefer female.
