Hey I got in an argument with a freind about the "true canon" romance in ME.

He said it's Liara because she can't die and both male and fem sheps can get with her.

I said it has to be Tali because it was brewing over two games shes the most genuine and she is the only one in the series to acknowledge it afterwards.

Q is he said the last parts not true but didn't know who else did either, I can't bring myself to romance anyone else so do any of you guys know if he's right?

There is no canon romance; only those that you wish to pursue.

To be completely honest, Kaiden or Ashley seem like the more intended romance. You could romance them in the beginning, you have to be lonely in the second game, then they come back. Makes for a good story...

Actually, that's nonsense, there is no "cannon" romance plot! This is an RPG and we are free to choose.

For you cannon is Tali, for him its Liara, I personally agree with you but everyone's story is unique

Rest assured that Tali/Shepard is the fan preferred couple

Yes, because even though you can keep playing after the final mission the galaxy is reset, so everyone in it thinks that you are still about to go on the final mission.
