I'm not saying either is better, just that I would have a more sympathetic audience here. Over there much of the focus is on Garrus' romantic nature and as I never play femshep my appreciation for Garrus is more for how badass he is. We would be talking about two totally different facets of a character that are actually only available to women and men who play femshep. I wouldn't fit in so to speak.
Here at least most of you maintain some semblance of appreciation for Tali's personality, which is why I like her. I don't agree with the overemphasized sexual imagery that I have seen, but for personal reasons. I agree to disagree on that.
If you are curious about why I dislike the imagery, PM me and I'll explain it to you.
You've just made me a little frightened of the Garrus thread. I mean, if the focus over there is noticably more in that vein than here, they must be like the Kaidan thread or something.
I've only visited it once so to be fair I could easily be wrong. I should go and confirm or disprove my first impression, but I don't really feel like it right now.
And I'm not saying this thread isn't focused on the Romance part of Tali, because it most certainly is. I'm just saying that My reasons for Liking Garrus differ apparantly from their reasons for liking Garrus.
Honestly, I liked Tali initially because she was secretly badass. She always had the worst armor in the game but she consistantly outlived Wrex and Garrus, my two other squadmates that I took everywhere. In Me2 her combat effectiveness has lessened considerably, but her Character has gotten a boost. She is my favorite LI because her romance seems the most genuine out of all the Maleshep romances and you don't have to dig through mental issues to get to the meat of it. You don't have to get past egotism or trust issues with Tali, she still comes across as the strongest LI. Miranda is cold and Jack is distant, but Tali is there for you when you needed her, and you were there for her.
