Jacob forever lost his bro status after he pulled that crap.

Not to argue but Jacob was trying to be nice and Tali was a little biitchy...
But even then I just stopped and said. "Oh, diick more there Jacob!"

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Tali in that scene, reminds me too much of what Miranda would do

Its really the only scene that casts Tali in a negative light when you think about it.  She stereotypes Jacob as a Cerberus dog without even trying to get to know him.  That's not my open minded sweet Tali :(

It isn't like she has no experience with people judging her for other people in her group's actions or anything :?

What about infiltrating the Flotilla and trying to blow up a starship would make Tali be open minded and sweet?

In jacobs defense that probally happened before he joined cerberus,
thats why he doesnt approve of it

Tali was harsh at first, but all her run-ins with Cerberus in the past had involved killing them and stopping sick experiments so it's understandable IMO.

It can be argued that Jacob was just being an idiot, poorly chosing his words.

But I really think he was hinting at the fact that the Quarians created the Geth.  And that was just a low blow, totally uncalled for.

Why hate Jacob?  He had absolutely nothing to do with the attack on the flotilla.  People hate Tali because the quarians invented the geth.  We all see that as wrong.  Why is it OK for Tali to hate all members of Cerberus without further knowledge?  Her and Jacob are in agreement with the attack on the flotilla being something that they're against, but she doesn't know that because she's already labeled him.

It goes against her character, which is much more understanding.

Don't remember the scene exactly, been a month since I played. Jacob was nice at first but Tali was not immediately trusting as she should have. She trusted Shepard but wanted it to be clear that she only trusted him and those he commands. Jacob probably said the AI thing because of his broken pride, I woulda prolly done the same if she gave me that attitude. lol yeah right I'd crumble.

She was Quarian by birth, not by choice.

And everyone has heard of Cerberus' dark past.  She saw Jacob as soneone willing to join an organization she hadn't heard a single good thing about.

Apparently I'm the only one who remembers that scene as being relatively civil. Sure there was tension in the room, but I don't think that AI comment was some kind of subtle jab at Quarians.

btw, what can I get for my Simon points?

I think it portrays her perfectly, she's always defensive of her people; and cerberus attacked the flotilla so she's still cautious of them. Though the fact she's willing to work on a cerberus vessel does show how accepting she is, even of people she doesn't trust or particularly like.

I don't know, I see Tali more likely to be cautious towards Jacob until she knows how he feels about Cerberus as whole.  She is openly hostile with him to start the relationship.  Surely she doesn't think that all Cerberus people are exactly the same.  She should be more understanding before labeling a whole group like that.

Like I said, this was before I got to know him better. At first I thought he was like Miranda, and he thought Cerberus could do no wrong. When I learned why he actually joined Cerberus, I felt bad for judging him too quickly. Also, thanks to Pel and the Hades' Dogs questline in ME1 I hate all Cerberus members by default. Doesn't mean I can't grow to understand their motives. (The Cerberus members, not Cerberus itself. The organization can go die in a fire.)

Its also a fact that Jacob doesnt trust Cerberus, TIM says so himself, and so does Jacob if you walk to him about it.
