As far as the comparison.  Its fine to hate the KKK.  Their motives are perfectly clear.  Hating everyone involved with them without knowing their motives, what they think of the groups actions as a whole, what led them to joining, or what kind of person they are in general is still judgemental.  Most people will judge by the group alone.  Tali should be above that, and seems to be at all other points in the game.

If you're holding Tali to a higher standard, then I fully understand your argument. 
I was holding her to a standard which I believe to be closer to the average person. 

I still think that she's only Quarian, and bound to make mistakes and lapses in judgement.  Even if most of the time she is great and compassionate and understanding.

Ah yeah, no arguement there.  The average person I'm sure doesn't think much of Cerberus, and by that token, its a little surprising that there isn't more animosity towards Cerberus in the game.

That said, normal people don't get 5,300 page adoration threads about them.  I see the event in question as a lapse in what is normally one of my favorite Tali traits.  It just makes me a little sad

I like to consider myself pretty good at keeping arguements on topic.  Once they devolve into flame wars or the whole point in general changes, I'll usually move on.  Although I can't really effect whether others want to take certain arguements and run without me. 

Although that is why Godwin's law exists.  Is Godwin's law applicable to the KKK?

Tali really wasn't hostile towards Jacob. She was very unfriendly, maybe even a little rude, but she really didn't say anything that could be considered hostile.

Probably the the worst thing she said was her "I'll loan you a grenade" in regards to Shepard blowing up Cerberus.

I love Tali all the more for her flaws.  I see her argument with Jacob as just more depth to the character. 
To each his own. 

And on the subject of Cerberus, I've always wondered why they don't meet with more hostility.  Shepard and his crew don't exactly try to hide who they're working for.  And the council even calls Shepard out for treason because of it (although he talks them down).
