BG2 was the game of ten years ago.  It was my favorite game of all time until ME2 came out.  ME2 is the future.

No Jon Irenicus
Less sense of humor
No romance catfights
Empty side quests.

BG2 still is king!

Does it count as morning if I have yet to sleep, I wonder. Though, that could be the almost lethal amounts of caffiene flowing through my system, I am unsure.

(Assuming that made sense in anything even remotely resembling a written language.)

If anybody hasn't read my poetry, take a look. The latest one I finished today.

Yazman, I don't know if someone already told you this but....you have the mind and the heart of Charles Baudelaires. (French poet)

I know I am exagerating but that was how I felt when I red your poetry.

Oh, come on.  Bioware upped the funny times a thousand to compensate for how dreadful the actual story of ME2 was.  Seriously, I haven't laughed out loud at a game since... well, since BG2, probably, before ME2 came out.  There are a ton of hilarious moments.

The romance catfights are clearly in the wings for ME3 (that said, Aerie FTW).

And the sidequests are f**king great, especially after the endless repetition of ME1.  I never, ever want to see the inside of that colonist structure again.  Every sidequest in ME2 is unique.

Look, BG2 is still my second favorite game of all time, but it held the belt for ten f**king years.  That's goddamn respectable.  But ME2 is still the new king.

Da funny gauntlet is down. Time to bring out the big guns. Jan ****ing Jansen enroute.

Jan: So Viconia, I suppose you must be a drow, eh?

Viconia: Speak not to your betters, surface slave.

Jan: My brother, Elgar Buttercup, had skin the shade of
charcoal, too. Well, technically it WAS charcoal. He died in a nasty
fire, you see.

Viconia: You do love the sound of your own voice, don't you gnome?

Jan: My own voice? Heartless wench! Do you not know? I am
deaf. I have never heard the sound of my own voice. I read lips...
(sob)... only lips...Viconia: Deaf? Truly? In the Underdark the deaf are killed or used in pain threshold experiments.

Jan: I heard that! In fact, it reminds me of the time I was
eaten by an avatar of Lolth. I was stuck inside her stomach with a
miserable drow called Biffle Chump for days. Of course, I was forced to
eat him. A matter of survival, you understand. Nothing personal. He
tasted a bit like chicken.

Viconia: [to Protagonist] How is it that you travel with such a wee buffoon?

Protagonist: Truthfully, it all goes back to the time that
Jan's cousin, Plooty Paladin-piper, got caught in a nasty flesh golem
eating contest...

Jan: Aye, Plooty had a way of attracting golems. Brilliant,
really. You start with a saucer of milk - golems are suckers for milk...

Viconia: I refuse to listen to this.

(take 2)

I wouldn't bother.  I've been drinking.  Your particularly charming brand of ennui actually adds a lot to the thread.  I'm honestly glad you're back.

I'd offer a big hug, but, well.  We both know you pretend to hate hugs.

I've heard caffiene in extremely high quantities fixes this.

Though I could be completely off and have no idea what I'm talking about. That's always a possibility.

I've met some extremely unhappy drunks before. Alchohol is not the answer to everything sadly.

Also, hugs? I'm fairly certain that might not be a good idea. I'm practically oozing orange soda at the moment, and I'm not entirely sure you would like to smell like Orange Crush for a few hours.

Aw, Revan...  I think we deserve an explanation for your dour demeanor.  It makes us all sad, and I think everyone present wishes they could help you to smile again.

That's a decidedly sad stance. I for one, believe orange soda to be the pinnacle of beverage generation, as it currently stands. You should try some. Sunkist though. Fanta is.... a little off.

My "dour" demeanor. That the first time someone call it like that.
And don't be sad about it. That how I am, can't do much about it.

I am in fact happy. I have another 2 liter of orange soda for when I get thirsty, some good music playing in the background, and a trip home in a few days.
