I actually really like my custom Paragon Shepard.  I like to make my videogame avatars look somewhat close to me if I want to think like them, so I had to make him look Nordic.  Think Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner, and that's pretty much my Shepard.  I hate looking at default Shep, he just looks wrong to me.

I'm Scandinavian/Nordic and sure, the thought of having my character mirror my appearance is an appealing thought, yet I really like default male Shepard's face (it also tends to be the most detailed face I've seen due to BioWare putting specific focus on it). It fits the timeless, ruggedly-handsome-space-marine image and good guy personality my Shepard has as a paragon soldier. Tastes differ and there's bound to be more than one way to achieve a palatable solution on this occasion which is fine, IMO.

There is one, I posted on it.  It's depressing how much people hate Jacob.  Seriously, he's a really good guy, and Shepard's go-to drinking buddy.

Have you tried typing the main title or the first sentence of text from the chapter in your OS's search bar? If you are using a MS OS then click on "Start" and there should be a white search bar beneath "All Programs".

Honestly, default Shep just bugs me because he isn't my Shep.  However.  In a game where much of the appeal is personal choice and investment, it bothers the hell out of me that Bioware slaps default Shep on every available commercial surface.  You'd think they wouldn't try to make a poster boy out of a guy that most people won't even play as.

As for the westerns, I believe The Good, the Bad and the Ugly  really is the best. For a Few Dollars More and Once Upon A Time in The West would be tied for second in my opinion.

And, I just need to ask, am I the only one around here who has a girlfriend and still fully loves Tali? 

I don't know how it happened, but my feelings for her became unexpectedly strong to the point of going through clear biochemical/physiological reaction. 

I ascribe most of it to the considerable stress I'm being put under in my studies and a little strained relationship with my girlfriend in the last months. I didn't consider it a problem at first, as I believe one can love an ideal, an archetype of personality. But even my close friends are now starting to see me as some freak.
So I put it to you: am I?  I really need to know...

It in fact is a great consolation coming from you. 
And I tend to think usually it's a good idea to say less rather than more. Unfortunately, I'm the polar opposite, unable not to speak my mind and open my heart in any place I feel even remotely comfortable at.
That's why people usually think I'm a freak, in fact  A nerd at the best.
A rather popular, likeable nerd, I hear, but a nerd nonetheless.
Oh well. Changing one's nature is tricky, and I'm way to tired to even try at this point.

I knew a lot of  people wouldn't care for Jacob as a character but even i was surprised at how blatantly disliked he is. Besides looking like a Kanye West clone he wasn't that bad. No more boring than Kaiden that's for sure. I liked how he looked so much better in Mass Effect Galaxy. Hate how they decided to change how he looked originally so much.

I've found that I am dissatisfied playing any version of male Shepard that doesn't look like default Shepard. I also think the vast majority of non-default male Shepards I've seen in YouTube clips look ridiculous or like outright ass. The non-default female Shepards are a different story; some of them look quite nice indeed, IMO.

Gotta stay sharp, Fex. Besides it was only a few pages after your last post at the time, but I suppose you may have left by then. Anyway, I stated that I felt an apology was in order. That despite perceiving some of your words to be intentionally provocative it was unkind of me to rub Tali's heterosexual status in your face. My apologies.

Also, I noticed that in your profile it states you are in Aberdeen. Are you a native? I earned my postgraduate degree from the University of Aberdeen. Ah, the "Granite City".

Eww, Kanye West.  As far as I'm concerned, mid-nineties hip-hop is the be-all and end-all.  Jacob shouldn't have to suffer for that, though!  I just think he gets overlooked because he doesn't have an obvious gimmick.  He's just an excellent human soldier with a solid sense of right and wrong.  There's nothing exotic about him.

Also:  Should I get ME:Galaxy for my iPhone or is it as awful as I imagine?

I accept default shepard, or my shepard as Shepard. I've seen 1 or 2 decent male shepards...most do look horrible though. Painfully so.

Worse when I imagine their ugly shepard romancing tali.
