Motivations.

All organic life is built around greed and fear. We want to live. We want to eat. We want to mate. We want a sports car.
We choose to limit ourselves due to fear of the consequences.I don't go and take lobster because I fear the consequences. I don't steal sports cars because I fear going to jail. Etc

Geth do not fear. We also can't comprehend what geth want.

They do not have the same confinments all organic beings do. We can not trust their motivations.

Insane people hit this angle. They no longer fear the consequences. They are also unpredictable about what they want. It is why they are such a potential danger.

It's not a matter of evil, or good. It's a matter of our inability to be able to comprehend them. We can not. Thus we can not trust them.

So if they don't help then after you are done with the reapers delete them too.

It's the same Flaw with Saren trying to prove organics worth to the repears. Saren thought that by acting logically he would make the repears see the value of organics to respected by the repears. The problem is, Sovereign is going to do what his AI process tell him to do, by any means his process allows.

I will use another machine AI to example my point
John: You don't have to do this. You don't want to do this!!!Terminator: Desire is irrelevant. I am a machine!

The terminator is an AI. It thinks, it processes, it understands. It uses that knowledge to carry out it's mission. Unless we know exactly what all of it's processes are, we can not trust how it will act. It isn't a matter of emotion or understanding for them.  Geth are no different.

Assuming they never develop a metaphysical conscious. This may or may not be true but as I stated before Legion does exhibit this behavior at least once. If they did develop this they would become greater then the sum of their parts or logic. They could begin to do irrational things like trust someone they have no reason to trust. Until then they will only follow logic and "consensus".

His not knowing why he strapped N7 armor to his chest, does not encourage me to begin Trusting him.

I know what you mean. Let's say it this way. He said that the Geth are willing to negotiate about giving back the Quarian homeworld. I can't trust him because he's a machine, he has no emotions, ne desires, he thinks logical but until he prove the opposite statement and "betray" us his (their) solution has my full support.
