I can relate to that feeling. I do not currently own any firearms (many European nations have extremely strict gun laws), yet a few years back when I lived in Scotland there was a break-in in my apartment while I was away on vacation. No further break-ins occured after that while I still lived there, but I did sleep with a hammer under my bed for the next six months and I was prepared to go after a potential thief's hands or head if need be. Not feeling safe in one's home is the antithesis of what "home" means to many people (even if security is often a matter of "feel good" psychology as our homes are often quite easy to break in to).

hey guys, I have an idea that I want to run by you. I'm still working on developing but here goes:

It seems likely that for ME3 Shepard will have to traverse the galaxy in the hopes of building

an army to fight the reapers. That said, he would need to resolve some issues to gain the

support, kinda like dragon age origins.

What if, during the main mission, a prothean artifact

is discovered with intel on what they refer to as the "hybrid equation". The civilization that

pre-dated them left clues behind of an artifact so powerful, it has the ability to change the

galaxy dramatically. The artifact holds the secret to the most powerful genetic engineering

ever discovered, with possibilities ranging from the creation of cross-species children to the

creation of supersoldiers. The original purpose of the artifact is unknown, the protheans found

clues to its location but perished before finding it.

Sheppard now knows of this artifact and its unconceivable potential, but he is not alone. The

other powers in the galaxy have heard of this as well. The Shadow Broker, Cerberus, and a

number of other groups also seek the artifact for their own gain. Sheppard's mission then comes

to find the "hybrid equation" before the others. But how will he use it? Will he use it to bring the

galaxy together? Will he use it as a weapon? That's for you to decide.

What do you think?

Agreed, though I would change "A man's" to "A person's". Still, sometimes in order to truly know our limitations we have to thoroughly push our preconceived boundaries...only to find that we may actually have untapped reserves we didn't realise existed within us. Other times our initial preconceptions turn out to be correct. ^_^

I couldn't imagine living in a place where self defense is.. well.. nearly against the law.

A friend once asked me "Why do you own guns?" and I said "Because the cops are fast enough. My .38 special is."

Hmm...let's see...Since my male Shepard didn't romance anyone in my first play of ME1, I was fine.
But in another game My male Shepard did romance someone (sorry, can't remember if it was Ashley or Liara)
And when the sex scene arrived, I went outside my room and wait until they were done because I found it disgusting even if it's just a game (that part of my personality).
Oh and I did the Alenko romance too with my female shepard and I did the same thing.
...
Yes yes I know, I am weird and all.

Discusting? really? that was natural, that was art! Discusting? That's romantic passion!
There is nothing discusting about that! Naturally occuring anyway, it's what you got to do
to have kids after all.

I hate kids.

Why am I not surprised?

Come on, if you raise them right, they'll be the coolest thing in your life.
Just hope it's possible to raise them right in 21st century :?

If he attacks you, then you have the right to defend yourself. But if you use weapons, then you'll have a hard time proving that without any bystanders.

Its best to just open the door and scream that he gets out.
Otherwise, those are the rules in The Netherlands.

Might seem like an odd, weird question but, what's your position on ME sex scenes?
In all seriousness.

ME1 had correct idea. Nudity. Intimacy. Tasteful. Though, lacking in cuddling. ME2 had cuddling. No nudity. Still tasteful. Seemed  diminished. Would prefer to have seen Tali's skin. Had cuddling, though.

Bah. Far as I'm concerned if someone breaks into my home then they have accepted the risk of getting smacked in the face with a blunt object.

They can lay charges all they want with a mouthful of broken teeth.

In Texas if someone breaks in you have the right to use lethal force. You would probably be charged if you did NOT shoot the intruder.

Here in FLA, if someone breaks into your home, and you feel your life is threatened; you have the right to shoot the perp dead where he/she stands.
