Turians have 39 dreadnoughts, Asari have 24, humans have 8

Crusiers would clock in at somewhere in the hundreds for turians, and then less and less as you go down

Mass effect fleets aren't that big, they're actually quite realistic in size

You left out the Salarians and the Asari actually have 21, and conveniently avoided any mention of frigates, etc. Combine those figures with the cruisers and dreadnaughts for the major military powers and we are looking at thousands of military craft. From where I stand your argument doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. We will have to agree to disagree. I can live with that.

Dreadnaughts per Council race:

Turians: 39
Asari: 21
Salarians: 16
Humans: 8

Total: 84 ergo the better part of a hundred dreadnaughts.

Oops, I was just going by the 5:3:1 rule fromt he treaty of Firaxen

Anyway, if they only have 84 dreads then they can't have thousands of other ships,  if the turians can only support and maintain 39 then they cant have thousands of crusiers.

Point being the citadel fleet is powerful but not  thousands of ships

I'm curious how exactly you reach the conclusion that because there are only so many dreadnaughts that there won't be hundreds of support craft (i.e. hundreds of cruisers, frigates, etc.) for each species to support them? Add them together and we get thousands of ships. All that is required for something to turn in to the thousands (plural) is for that something to reach a count of 2,000 or more. So no, I don't agree with your conclusion and I reject it entirely.

Anyone wonder about if the geth don't hate other species then why did they kill everyone on that one ship that entered the veil??

Territorial behavior has nothing to do with hate.

Yeah but maybe they could of made peace then. Unless, well when was that?? If it was near the morning war they might of still been scared of other races.

Geth do not fear
Geth do not hate
Geth do not love
Emotions are a fault int he hardware of Organics.

without emotions many great things accomplished by society would not exist. Emotions cuase many reactions whether it is fear making someone do something to avoid something else or love making someone do something to get something......lota somethings envolved.....hey did you hear about the firewalker DLC comming out soon WE GET THE HAMMERHEAD!

Sometimes. Sometimes start destructive conflict.

While that proposal is ideal in nature, the Quarians have a habit of stripping whatever systems they pass through, and I don't think the Alliance would be too receptive of the Migrant Fleet coming to Sol.

Plus it'd be more benficial to them than to us, and humans have that habit of wanting more than just a warm feeling when they make deals. The alliance would be looking for something of use, and I'm not sure what the Quarians could give them.

Agreed. As mentioned in a previous post I would vote against such a proposition. I'd support helping the Quarians find a new world to colonize within Council space in an area that has not yet been developed.

Terraform mars. We're not using it anyways. Then they pay human taxes or w/e. possibly protection fee's.

Then again, just open up free trading. It would add to earths golden age.

Mars has a population of a few million humans in ME. I'm sure that humans have restricted access to the planet, given that Prothean ruins were discovered there.

To be honest I'm curious about that as well. I hope you can bring Tali or w/e squad mates to earth with you in ME3.

Yes and you would be close enough that you could bring Tali home to visit Shepherd's mom (provided she is home on leave).

Yes, IIRC it is mentioned in one Codex entry that the Heretics moved beyond the Perseus Veil and likely have their main bases of operations on the outer inner edges of the Perseus Veil, and thus are likely the first "Geth" any organic species' ships would have encountered.

Oh ok then. That explains how the people were made husks. It was heretics.

Just to clarify. 5:3:1 rule is Turians:Council member species: All other council species.

Humans likely built up numbers of dreadnoughts after two years of being member.
Or left all others in dust when left in charge of Citadel Space.

Now that's a fleet! Sadly humanity only currently has 8 dreadnaughts.

but everyone asari turians etc. are joining the fight against the reaperz

Not yet they haven't. The Council races may be allied but allies do not always get along and they most certainly do not always share the same points of view as to what to do, when to do it, where to do it nor how to do it. Then there's the politicking and each group trying to make sure they aren't losing out while the others gain something, etc. I find your naivety touching - and I mean no disrespect by that comment - yet sadly such solidarity is rare even when a common foe is incoming.

I thought he had no family.

Also, derp on mars thing. They could however help us dig.find anymore prothean artifacts. I bet that would cause diplomatic issues though, knowing the Alliance, they'll want to claim the artifact completeley.

You know, here's kind of a sad, scary thought. According to the numbers posted, there's ~84 Dreadnoughts around. A Dreadnought is 1Km long.

Reapers (going by Sovereign's dimensions) are 2Km long, and there's....thousands of them. :/

Lets not forget that planet descriptions describe some tens of thousands of Geth Ships, presumably Good Geth. Otherwise the ships would just be disabled and could be reclaimed by the good geth.

And that the Migrant Fleet is composed of some 50 thousand ships, all of which have some form of defencive weaponry, though most have been converted to houseing ships.

AND remember that Sovereign was not destroyed by a Dreadnought, it was destroyed by the 5th fleet and remaining citadel fleet.
