Wasnt it with the aid of some other Quarian? Dont know whole story.
I like the Quarians but I cant see them being very good in war. They talk about there marines like there so great yet they get pummled by a few Geth. There ships are all old and will eventually fail if they dont do something.
[/quote] Well you have to understand that do to their position they have not been able to make new ships or improve military training. Think of it as Russia, where they we're a European country but had not industrialized for quite some time, and when they finally did they had a hard time getting factories up and running due to social unrest and other unforseen events. I mean, Today's Russia recently just revamped their military, which had been running on a WW2 system. They just don't have Resources, Time, or ability to revamp their society due to the hard times they have fallen on.

They do constant repairs and their military get the majority of the reapirs and resources. Nemerous sources also confirm that their navy is anything but crappy.

Hmmm, I know that some Quarians want peace and others want to attack and retake the homeworld. Then again, given the situation of Quarians AND Geth facing extinction along with everyone else, and the fact Legion already stated they do not seek to destory organics, then I think a peace deal would seem most probable.
You think the Geth would protect the homeworld with civilians on it? Like something from their old programing that makes them do that?
No, mutually assured survival.. If something attacks the Quarian homeworlds while the quarians are there, they'll have to go through the Geth. Geth will defend out of necessity, not out of protective instincts for the Quarians...
Unless of course the two come to an agreement to help defend the Quarian civilians.

I still dont think there current fleet would be much good in war. Maybe if they got a lot of resources and could build fresh new ships.Scy Lancer wrote...
The Quarians must have a good military fleet. Their marines suck. Kal can't carry the entire race militarily. They might be better at sabotage or hacking in their military tactics, but they do say that their strength is in their fleet. We have only seen a glimpse of the massive fleet that carries the Quarian race. I figured for a straight up bullets and battery war ship they would use more hit and run tactics.

Hmm.. Wouldn't surprise me if Quarians look like a mix between Turian and Humans. They do like the same food, and Quarians are presumably at least a bit scale-y (since Grunt says Quarians are less soft then humans, but more then Turians).
They didn't actually specify what Grunt meant by that... Most people seem to think it's the suits, but I'm wagering it has to do with bone density and muscle concentration.

Well, other than their ships being older makes than current ships (which if they're at all modular like the SR2 was, might not mean anything), and having a weak infantry force, what are you basing your opinion of them having a weak fleet on?

Shepard himself says that the migrant fleet is formidable, so does kal'reegar, who we know is realistic about their chances

The way Legion explained the Morning War, the Geth don't seem very certain why they were attacked. It sounded a lot like if a dog tried to explain being swatted after chewing something the night before.... It really has no comprehension of why it's being punished, only that it is being punished. It's possible they maintain the homeworld because of left over programming, or merely because they still feel that the Quarians are the master/parents/what have you.

The fact that all the ships are centuries old, and used primarily for housing not fighting. All those old ships couldnt possible stand up against modern ships, or against the geth.Varthun wrote...

Excepting that if they're modular they could very well have current tech for weapons, and armor reinforcements. Making a ship capable of housing people just means you clear out the cargo bay, not that you make the ship incapable of fighting.

Good point. This makes me wonder how it's going to play out in ME3. A peace treaty does seem more plausible. I guess we'll have to wait for ME3 for that though (Damnit).Jake71887 wrote...
