Imagin doing the LI with tali on your first playthrough and actually it being serious playing just to have Tali as the LI in ME3 only to have her die...MMA7FF wrote...

I am curious. We all want it all of course. Tali as a team mate and LI in ME3 and lots of happy ever aftering afterwards. That goes without saying. But how important is it that she is squad mate? Would you grumpily accept it if they wrote it so Tali and Shepard had a really romantic happy-ever-aftering end, even if she wasn't squad mate the greater part of the game or would it still be really ruin things for you?
Personally I can live with Tali not being a squad mate for the majority of the game, but I would be dreadfully disapointed if we couldn't finish the romance properly. My bottom line is, I can grudgingly accept less voice acting from Liz Sroka in ME3 as long as I get to hear her say "I do".
My biggest fear is that something completely horrible is going to happen to your ME3 LI. Since it'll be the last chapter of Shepard's story, and since BioWare seems to enjoy ripping out your heart and then showing it to you before crushing it, I'm just scared there's going to be something that causes the LI to have to sacrafice his/her life to save yours.
I really do want Tali in the 3rd game as a squad member and as a continued LI, but I'm just scared about what might happen to her.
'Be careful what you wish for', and all that.
There will be multiple choices.. Like save her and you die.. she saves you but she dies. cut your losses and run away and she dies... a squad mate dies to save the team sorta happy ending... etc
there better at least be some sort of happy ending you can have if you do the right stuff...
cause i saw the shep dies ending of me2 and it was kinda sad....
All Tali fans, read this! IT'S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE! 3.0!!

Maybe, and I do hope you're closer to the truth than I am, but what I'm thinking is that it might be something along the lines of the Kaidan/ Ashley choice in ME1 where one of them HAS to die. So it might turn into something like: okay you CAN save your LI, but then this bus full of puppies and kittens and children and nuns and rainbows will explode.
Then if you pick the LI s/he will become overwhelmed with guilt that they were chosen over something they see as more important.
Again, I hope I'm completely wrong about all of this.

They did it for KOTOR maybe KOTOR II (can't remember), ME1 and ME2 (games I have played) So why not ME3.

This is completely off-topic, but whatever. What do you reckon is going on in the other galaxies? Is there a Reaper fleet for each one?
ONe is full of Trekies the other full of Star war. one is Star gate. etc... JK
I would think the reapers kinds make pit stops to each one....or something to that effect.

This ended up being a lot more work than I expected it to be.
Finally back home and thus late to the discssion, but since I am pretty sure this pic got burried, and deserves a bump, *plugs*
Seriously, this is really well done.
I do see why Tali and Shepard might want to hold a wedding near where they met, or at least where Tali "officially" joined Shepard's team and thus her eventually falling in love with the only human who was willing to see beyond the prejudice dealing with Quarians.
Flowers were a nice touch.
I am still hoping to have her come completely out of her suit and in a more loose, flowing wedding dress, a wreath of flowers on her head and everyone that matters holding the wedding on Rannoch. Wouldn't that be something to fight for?

What if. . .Tali does become a squad member and continued LI in ME3, but then she becomes 'Indoctrinated' by the Reapers and you have to, you know, 'put her down'?
How terrible would that be?
I know what you're going to say: "The indoctrination process has to take a long amount of time or else the person becomes a useless lump of blah," but since this is a futuristic RPG, BioWare can basicly change the rules whenever, or there can be another 2 year time-skip or so between 2 and 3.
Please explain to me why this can not happen. I would like that.

Indeed, but I'm speaking as if there were some sort of, I don't know, 'seperation' or 'kidnapping' or something.
You can use your imagionation for that, I'm just throwing out the possibility is all.
