Hey guys,

Tali-related but let's think of how far Shepard has come from the days Nihlus requested his evaluation on our Commander to see if he was up to snuff on becoming a Spectre. Reason I say this is, for awhile now, I've thought it'd be a curious opportunity if Tali became one.
What I mean is say, in ME3, you've got to split your squad up but one has to have all the access Shepard has so essentially a reserve leader if ever you die (also as a contingency if you happen to go rogue). As a result they'd have to be a Spectre status. You could choose out of a list (Garrus, Jacob, etc...) but Tali would also be one you could choose.

Thoughts?

Well my personal thoughts are that spectre status is going to be relatively moot in the third game.  I can't see any reason to start following the council's orders again.  You basically lose spectre status permenantly if Udina is the councilor as well.  It doesn't affect getting access to anything in ME2, so I can't see why it would affect the third.

As far as hypothetically, Garrus would probably be the best spectre, who wants Tali away from them the whole game anyway?

If that would be the case then I'd propably choose.. Garrus.
Not that I don't like Tali, hell i LOVE her, but Garrus has had so much experience, and seen s*it really hit the fan many times over. Besides, he's a great tactician and marksman, and a survivor like Shepard (ME 2).

It got mentioned not long ago, but I'm a mod over at the IGN boards. While IGN's terms of service is obviously different than here on the Bioware boards, I can tell you that image wouldn't be allowed over there.

How's your army of cats going, sergio?

One stole my computer chair the moment I got up from it, another is sleeping next to me (I'm on my laptop). Yet another one came by not along ago, sniffed the sleeping one, and took off. And yet another one is outside currently, I think. :P

Myself, I loved it. Really feels like the next chapter to the BG-saga, and the combat mechanics remind alot of the one used in KOTOR. Took me 40 hours to finish, and had a hellovalot of dialogue and choices to make.

True. Still, wouldn't mind having Garrus the Spectre watch my back a few times during ME 3.
Gotta love him too.

Where as, I do agree Sergio, the site rules state that pornography is against the rules, that picture does not qualify as pornography. Though it does give us a bad image, I don't really care if it's posted, it isn't harming much, the thread moves so fast, we could probably get away with breaking the rules. We do not want mod attention, because it would probably result in an un-friendly lock. Really, if you (meaning anyone) are offended/don't approve of said pictures, then just ignore them, in my opinion, not a big deal. Image IPB

You're indeed a great poster Sergio, I also enjoyed both of your ME2 videos I watch, just saying. Image IPB

My fear of what would stand in the way of Shepard's and Tali having a wedding is both humans and quarians governments would object on the grounds that they both cannot reproduce and thus a marriage between them would remove two of the best examples of each race from the gene pool. Or something like that. I mean wouldn't the Quarians object since Tali is a healthy female and I believe quite capable of bearing children if she choose to join with another quarian.

If the war between the Geth and the Quarian do happen, I would imagine that the quarians would want to replace lost population and Tali's lineage would definitely be one to be desired no?

Man, Tali's my fave character, but she's seriously not a good leader. Don't get me wrong, she's smart, has a great head on her shoulders, and can make good logical decisions. But that's only half of the leadership equation. She tends to let her emotions get the better of her, and she's prone to getting frustrated too easily. She just has difficulty keeping a crew together under non ideal circumstances.

You could always kill Zhevran right off the bat. Murder knife him and slit his throat. Problem solved.
On the other hand, you have Morrigan and Lelianna. Those two and Oghren makes the whole game worth playing.

Just like Tali makes ME2 worth playing. Just saying.

If Shepard and Tali save the galaxy, you really see anyone trying to stop them from being together?  I just don't see it happening, even if someone was dumb enough to try and stop them from being together, I can't see either actually listening.

And besides, genetics are no guarantee that the offspring will be even remotely as competent as the parent.  Its easier to make another Miranda than it is to hope that Tali and random quarian produce a useful citizen 30 years down the road.

I don't think the "human government" would care at all. Although I can see the Quarian government not being happy about it. She's the daughter of an admiral, and they probably wouldn't like the idea of Quarians marrying other races, since that means no children, and the Quarian population needs to remain stable.

Then again, maybe the Quarians would like it. Her marrying such a respected, "high up" human could encourage friendship between the two races, and Quarians really need a frend in the galaxy. especially a council species.

Very thoughtful and wise words, Sergio. I totally agree with your opinion, their marriage might not consern the human population, but it's hard to know if the quarians find it a benefit or a loss for their people to have Tali marry Shepard. Also, it might be that the quarian people is divided into different opinions regarding it, much like their opinions about reclaiming the homeworld from the geth

I can't see keeping the population stable being any concern, their concern is overpopulation, not underpopulation. They could just let someone else have two kids to compensate.

That said, I would also think that the quarian government could see the diplomatic benefits of the whole situation. Nothing says "respect our race again," like having one of your people marry the hero of the galaxy.
