The USA only win their wars because of their overwhelming numbers and technologies and even with both on their side, they lose from time to time. 

And the best army in the world considering quality and moral would probably be the Israeli Army. 

BTW: It's kinda funny how we also have most of these "french jokes", but we tell them about the Italian people instead.

Not true, everyone reacts differently to depression, it's not as universal as you'd might think.

I always responded "Were you pouring water into the glass or drinking water from the glass to get it to that state? The way it wound up there defines whether it is half full or half empty" Drove my teachers nuts.

I'll take the reporting of a BBC documentary following the trials and tribulations of Legionnaires undergoing the training over what you've got.

No military force is invincible, despite a military tendency to engage in bravado. The potential downside I personally see with the FFL is that there may not be a lot of leeway nor tolerance for thinking amongst the lower ranked soldiers. That's great for discipline, yet not necessarily so great when you need to think on your feet and outmaneuver an enemy in live combat. The US has the largest, most powerful military hands down. By some estimates it's up to two generations of tech ahead of other militaries in the world and it has some of the best trained soldiers in specific roles in the world yet not all US forces are the best at everything and have been, and are, outperformed at certain tasks by other militaries. I realise this can be an unwelcome thought to many Americans as American culture seems to place an inordinate amount of focus on always "being the best", etc.

No, it's pretty standard.

You're depressed, you don't care. You don't care so you don't try. You don't try so you never do anything.

It's why depression leads to all sorts of eating, sleeping disorders, it's why depressed people are often quite unclean. They do the bare minimum to survive. So fail even though or take suicide as the route.

She has shown far too much enthusiasm in her posts to be anything but truly depressed.

The British/French/Israeli/Japanese (Self-Defence) Armed Forces are the best in the world, but they simply can't compare when operating alone in a forward-deployed position.
