In my defense, I've tried keeping this thread on-topic as long as I could. Though it seems my voice of reason is always ignored.

It could be a bug but I think Bioware snuck in some extra hidden factors. If you've explored their entire dialogue tree before the confrontation this seems to lower the requirement. Also having the opposite score may drag down your ability to influence people. You could try respecing to the class that gives the larger charm/intimidate bonus before the fight as well.

500 renegade isn't as impressive when you have 200 paragon on the side. Somebody pulled off the Miranda/Jack fight with only half of the total renegade bar filled.

I managed to hit EVERY single Renegade option in the game except for just this one ... I was a little surprise.  I got everyone loyal anyway [I made the post conversation Renegade choice w/ Legion and he's happy now].

I should have thought of the respec though as that would have made it a slam dunk.

Wow, this is even more off-topic than it was this morning! Now it's not even remotely about ME, let alone Tali, anymore...

As long as they keep staring at all the Tali banners in our sigs, it doesn't matter if we go off-topic sometimes. This is essentially a thread where Tali lovers can hang out without getting trolled.
Tali is just awesome that way.

Indeed. But most of what General Wedge says is fairly reasonable.

You don't have a Tali banner in your sig, though.

The bloody thing still isn't showing up? I'm on the verge of giving up now. The two text link things just won't turn into banners, apparently...

I think you have to put [.img]Link[/img] without the . in [.img].

As I said above, it feels awkward when serious issues dealing with emotions like depression are discussed here. At least it feels weird to me.

Well...sometimes a talk just...flows in a direction no one foresaw and then you end up talking ab about depressions in a Tali thread. =]

I don't know what this nonsense is about picking other characters as your LI's. Jack is someone who is just plain crazy, and someone who needs to get over her whole sob story.

Miranda is too cocky, and believes that she should be considered a REAL human even though she was engineered. Samara is cool as far as her morality goes and all that, but was a rather uninteresting character to me.

In other news. I got the Widow last night....and I can't destroy the collector base.

Hey, I like Jack.  Not enough to actually go through with it, but she's a good character.

Miranda kind of gives me the willies.  I mean, she's made out of 100% man parts.

I was depressed back in Highschool.

I didn't have any pride back then.

Everyone's depressed in High School, did you take medicine for it, go to therapy regularly?

I'm in High School. There are plenty of days that I consider eating a bullet.

But for the sake of lulz I soldier on.

Hang in there. It can get better (and often does even though there will be hard bumps along the way).

March on, Drathan. High school is definitely the worse part. The important part is to just get past that, and then you'll find that there a lot of wonderful things to compensate for the bad ones.

Yeah, but starting to talk about depression! It just feels awkward to hang around this thread right now.

Reality can be frightening but at least it is real. Living in a bubble may be blissful ignorance and sometimes I find myself thinking wistfully about care free youth. Would I trade my adult freedom and responsibilities/burdens to go back and live it all again? Not on my life.

If talking about depression bothers you, you need thicker skin.

It's common, most people suffer it for a period of their lives, and being able to not be bothered by topics of conversation will help prevent it and work with friends through it.

Let's steer the conversation in a different direction ... I propose the direction of Tali's beubs.

Did you know an anagram of Taliwub is : Tali has a cracking pair (If you had some letters and take others away)

Nevermind, then, the Persona games are PS2.  They're interesting:  modern setting, a departure from the usual fantasy RPG, and they have a heavy emphasis on the relationships between the characters.

Aye, I looked them up as soon as I read your earlier post which is why I mentioned the Xbox 360. No harm, no foul and the attempt at broadening my JRPG horizons is appreciated. :)

Why not? She seems to have a bit of a darker side herself. ;)

She is strong enough to not get drowned in those feelings, but that doesn't mean, she doesn't have them at all.

You know, just enough to show she's a woman, but not enough that they get in the way of working on things parts and technical. <3

Technically men are made primarily out of X chromosome DNA. The Y chromosome, in so far as we have been able to tell so far, only seems to determine the male gender and how much ear hair you grow.

I didn't read through all of that JRPG stuff, so I've no idea if it has already been mentioned - The only JRPG I played was Lost Odyssey, and I greatly enjoyed it. Those people who shed tears during ME2, will cry like babies at some points in that game though.

And now I'll go to Haestrom to get my Tali, finally.
Oh, and my Geth Assault Rifle, too.
I just *love* Haestrom!
