I agree, I hated French too.
If only they would speak like they write the words...
Yes, but my main problem is sentence structure. It's just sooo confusing.
Not to mention their distribution of genders.
Honestly though, I hear lots of people saying "French is a beautiful language", but I never liked it. Not the written language, not the sound of it.

Some people are more inclined to learning new languages, and some just flat out can't... But French generally no, isn't very hard to learn.

Splendid! I have been procrastinating in regards to packing my wordly belongings and I'm relocating next week soooo, I really do need to put in a solid effort this weekend which will mean less thread time.

Yeah, I heard Finnish is different from every other language.
But you produce some good music. Ever heard of Sentenced?

Well, I'm German and there are only two genders in French. There's three in German.
I don't understand why people like the sound, either. Russian sound so much cooler

I have to ask the same question of you I ask all foreigners who turn up in Ecosse / Schottland / etc.
What possessed you to spend any time in this insufferable Kingdom of despair?
The University of Aberdeen had/has a very good political science and international relations department. I was interested in it's Strategic Studies course offered at its Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), I had a former high school classmate whom had enjoyed her time there as an undergraduate, and my sister was an undergraduate there as well. Also, I preferred to have my lessons be in English. Despite being fluent in Danish I am even better at English and if you were to speak to me in person odds are you would think I am American.

Bioware will be delighted their ME forums spawn multi-thousand-page threads. They'll be delighted that what they've created has been so thoroughly embraced and cherished by what can be a notoriously fickle field to survive - let alone thrive - in.
I think they'd be happier that they can have a thousand page thread spawned with only one Rule 34 type picture that was posted and only had about four pages of debate 'til it wasn't posted agian. 2.0 didn't need the abundance of that filth to reach the mark it reached. That's what I'm saying. If people just talked about Tali and other things rather than post tons of the inappropriate pictures, there would be tons more of these. Most of the posters from the first two threads don't post in this one anymore. I'm just saying.
Though, however, regarding what you said about Bioware not listening to us (I snipped it for quote purposes), I believe they do listen to their fans. Whether you'd like to view the Tali romance as a fan service or not that's up to you, but I do believe that Bioware will listen to fans on some of the other things that the fans want. Majority of people hated the Mako, and they got rid of it. Who knows, maybe they'll give us something we want, or maybe they won't. If we can generate enough appropriate fandom then I think they will see what we want. Bioware has always listened to it's fans, though like you said, I don't think they'll take up having a vote for what we will end up playing.
Not to mention I don't think most of us would enjoy having the game spoiled for us before we even play it. It would just ruin that one feel you get from it. You know?

It's very hard for me to learn new languages, but I've found French to be something at least plausible for me... Granted I haven't used it in years, but at the time I go most of it relatively easily.

A lot harder than Spanish. Maybe it's because I never wanted to learn this language but am stuck with it because I don't have enough time to learn another language now and I need two foreing languages to study in a German university.
