One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness :P

If that one good deed is good enough it is.  Saving the entire galaxy from being assimilated into sentient machines, overrides some unethical experiments that may or may not have directly involved him.

One right doesnt make up for many, many wrongs.

Everything he does is for Humanity!

everything he does is for himself

He rebuilt Shepard to stop the collectors, while he does things for himself everything he does benefits humanity.

ok one more question. When talking to shala'raan after the trail what does. "He didn't care about Tali." say...its sounds bad but i also thought the you deserve better line was going to be bad.....and i was WRONG!

I never selected that option. Since it was the low right-side option, it would be a renegade response.

no its left middle, and remember the "I'll help you retake your homeworld" was a renegade response.

anyone know were i can find out what that says without clicking it and having Tali get pissed?

bump

that renegade option is SO worth it, you promise Tali that you will build her a house
idk if this is the right one

How does she respond to that. When I said find a new home she was all mean and yelled at me:unsure:

She's not too happy about either response:  if you promise to build her a home on Rannoch she wonders if that's what she really wants.

I took the paragon response myself.  Yeah, it looked like the start of an argument, but it's better to be honest about the chances.

yeah, but Tali was stressed out in that mission, but she heard Shepards promise and i BET it melted her heartImage IPB

id rather be paragon thn renagade she likes u more

While she doesn't like hearing it, the paragon options (in regards to fighting the Geth) are the best way to go.

You know what sucks more than not having a homeworld? Having your race go extinct, which is exactly what'll happen if the Quarians try to fight the Geth.

Funny, in the same way, Everything Hitler did was for Germany apparently (WW2-Reference Burn!)

No he didn't... Historyfail!

Being german myself, i have to agree with Jake here.

I thought hitler started his BS crusade cuase he didn't like the state of germany after WWI and wanted to bring them back to thier former glory.... and you know kill jews and stuff.

no he wanted the germens to be the superior race

There are hundrets of different reasons but the main reason was the Treaty of Versailles.
Of the many provisions in the treaty, one of the most important and controversial required Germany to accept sole responsibility for causing the war and, under the terms of articles 231–248 (later known as the War Guilt clauses), to disarm, make substantial territorial concessions and pay reparations to certain countries that had formed the Entente powers. The total cost of these reparations was assessed at 132 billion marks ($33.0 billion, £6.6 billion) in 1921, which inflation adjusted, is roughly equivalent to $400 billion US Dollars as of 2007. This was a sum that many economists deemed to be excessive because it would have taken Germany until 1988 to pay. The Treaty was undermined by subsequent events starting as early as 1932 and was widely flouted by the mid-1930s.The result of these competing and sometimes conflicting goals among the victors was compromise that left none contented: Germany was not pacified or conciliated, nor permanently weakened. This would prove to be a factor leading to later conflicts, notably and directly the Second World War.
Now let us pls get back to TaliImage IPB

And if it was only to 'protect' humanity I might be okay with it. Its the whole thing about ensuring human dominance over every other race in the galaxy that I have a slight issue with.

RE: The Illusive Man.

We can speculate that everything he does is for his own glory, but I'm not sure that's a view supported by the game. I mean, there's not really any evidence for it.

Those of you who have read Ascension, does that shed any light on the matter?

So we're ignoring the part where he revived him and gave him the ship, crew and information necessary?

I'm laughing at the idea of TIM getting all bloodshot and and ordering a big pile of burritos or something.

Speak of that, though, what is TIM's response to that one convo option of Shep challenging him to come through the Omega 4 relay himself?
