It's 50/50. The quote people are running off of wasn't specific and his memories come from well beyond the 300 years the Quarians were stuck in suits.

Either way, it takes more than a finger's length to sever a Quarian spine unlike a human.:bandit:

No, his memories do not come from beyond 300 years ago.

Grunt has HUMAN SHIP imprints in his brain. Humans are barely 30 years in the intergalatic scheme.

Okeer was not an idiot. He didn't fill grunt's mind with obsolete outdated information.

I think it would have been great to walk into the main battery room where Garrus is and this happens.

Garrus turns around and looks at you for a second.  He nods his head and holds his fist out.  You then initiate the fistbump and silently move along.  Nothing is said, everything is understood.

All right, you all have fun discussing... stuff. I will log off and do my own thing, then kill Darkspawn. Then Heretics. In that order.

Have fun.

Keelah, GMR.
But seriously, I love the fact that you can summon Tali up to your room, but it would be much more engaging and touching if she gave some indication of what happened like: "I'll come by your room later maybe, Shepard."
And if you could actually hear Shepard say to her: "I love you, Tali."

You can always say you love her and start making out with the screen... May not be the same thing, but hey, it's the thought that counts right? :)

Yeah, but the fact is that the way the conversations are left, they provide no closure whatsoever. It's just disappointing and a bit saddening, honestly.
EDIT: Keelah Se'Lai, Azint.

I'm going to announce to the thread that I'm going to correct every mistake you make. I will also do this in a condescending manner which will try to prove your inferiority to me. Grunt doesn't have human SHIPS imprinted into his tank. He has a HUMAN SHIP.

When the deed occured we were going to the Omega 4 relay, everyone probably saw her go up that elevator.

Which is when everybody is checking their gear, fixing armour, getting a snack, Grunt headbutting the glass in his room. It was only a 2 hour trip yo.

Now if Tali and Shepard walked out of the elevator together at the end... Well no hiding it then.

I bet Gabby and Daniels saw her leave the engine room and were probably like "you know where shes going;)".

Am I the only one that thought of Marvin Gaye - Lets Get It On when tali came up?

Jake beat you to that like 2 pages ago.

I hate you!

Epilogues will have to wait untill the 3rd game.

I would be suprised if we didn't get them.

Because of that fact, there is a fairly high chance there is a "happily ever after" ending for Shepard and all of his/her potential romances.

Actually Quarian skin is tougher than Human skin.

I dont think so, when Grunt said that he could be referring to the suit.

Wasn't he tank-bred though?
So I doubt he would have any memories of Quarians 300+ years ago.

He also had memories of ripping off a Turian's face from immediately before the Krogan rebellions ended;)

People, take it however you want. Grunt was talking about a blade's length to sever a spine.

Ha, absolutely.  That would work for Jacob, too.  Zaeed would have some story that started out vaguely tangential to the topic, but ended up with everyone but him dying and having nothing to do with anything. :D  I <3 Zaeed.

And I'm not saying that they aren't tougher. The answer is we don't know. We do know quarians are always in their suits. If they are not, they are probably dead anyway and there is no need to sever their spine. His comment "quarians, not so much" is all we get out of him.

Not so much could be anything.

So, we know they are always in their suits
we know they're "not so much" soft as human, salarian, asari

Thats it. We know nothing else.

You know, since Grunt was talking about severing the spine, I think his comment dealt with bone strength.

That's one thing that really makes me look forward to ME 3, all the loose ends will be tied up with closure, since Bioware takes its stories and games seriously, so I'm looking forward to my happily ever after ending.
At the same time it makes me sad that the next game will be the last one for this story line. And yet, we'll have 3 games to go back to play when we feel the need to...

Put me in the camp that always just assumed he meant they were less squishy due to their exosuits. I'd like to see the question answered, though.

There will probably be a quarian codex entry for their biology around the same time we deal with them and Tali's apperance again.

Probably.
