Yeah, but the fact is that the way the conversations are left, they provide no closure whatsoever. It's just disappointing and a bit saddening, honestly.

I would be suprised if we didn't get them.

Because of that fact, there is a fairly high chance there is a "happily ever after" ending for Shepard and all of his/her potential romances.

Ha, absolutely.  That would work for Jacob, too.  Zaeed would have some story that started out vaguely tangential to the topic, but ended up with everyone but him dying and having nothing to do with anything.   I <3 Zaeed.

And I'm not saying that they aren't tougher. The answer is we don't know. We do know quarians are always in their suits. If they are not, they are probably dead anyway and there is no need to sever their spine. His comment "quarians, not so much" is all we get out of him.

we know they're "not so much" soft as human, salarian, asari

That's one thing that really makes me look forward to ME 3, all the loose ends will be tied up with closure, since Bioware takes its stories and games seriously, so I'm looking forward to my happily ever after ending.
At the same time it makes me sad that the next game will be the last one for this story line. And yet, we'll have 3 games to go back to play when we feel the need to...
