the latest pages won't show up on the list, or will be blank if I try

All Tali fans, read this! IT'S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE! 3.0!!

Fair enough. Paragons get the job done without compromising whom they are.
If the person is an ass hole, and gets the job done like an ass hole, then what changes?
I was just waiting for someone to make that point. However, if we presume Renegade will sacrifice anything and everything to achieve a goal then that implies that along their Renegade journey they will end up sacrificing bits of themselves as well. Being Renegade does not inherently mean that one likes to stomp on babies, solve every problem with a gun, etc. It does however mean that the Renegade person will use these means and more besides if that's what they think it takes to get the job done. Paragons won't - they'll find another way to solve the problem. That's the difference.
And before someone suggests that a Renegade could be a psychopath and thus not have much to sacrifice in regards to their personal values, I'll point out it is highly unlikely that a true psychopath would have made it through the screening process of both the Alliance and the Council over a period of time spanning many years.

I've never understood the whole "full renegade" playthrough idea. I'm sure for most people, it goes against what they would normally do, and in that case, the game for me is just like watching a bad movie that I've already seen. What's the point? Just to see how everyone reacts to you if you're a jerk? I'm just fine not knowing personally. I like seeing the different ways that Shep will tell off the council whether I use the charm or intimidate option. I have no interest in role playing as someone who laughs at Tali while shes crying over her dead father, but that's just me. No ones forcing you to play 100% one way, 95% is fine, hug Tali, you know you want to
The game plays out fine from the standpoint of being able to resolve all persuation issues if you treat all renegade situations renegade, all paragon with paragon, and all neutral one way or the other.
Maybe my view is off though, since I'm pretty neutral, and can change things up by going either paragon or renegade on any given playthrough without straying too far from the whole roleplaying who you are aspect.
Personally, when I play a role-playing game, I try to play a character who is not similar to myself, because I get to be me every day. I like thinking up characters in my head before I play them and then make my choices accordingly. My first ME 2 character was a "lawful neutral" guy who only cared about the success of the mission, and would be paragon or renegade depending on if it helped the mission goals. Helping Tali was not beneficial to the mission, so he did not make an effort to help or comfort her during her loyalty mission (though it made me as the player feel very bad!) I think it's much more interesting to play a character this way than to just to take the left or right path: I end up being at least 10% renegade or paragon every playthrough.

Tis an optical illusion, the rings make it look longer than it really is.
For Tali, I 100% hope that's true.
But it definitely is a little bit reminiscent of the first picture. And that is no mere illusion; some south american natives use rings like these to prolong the neck artificially. They consider it beautiful
No offence ment to any Incas on this thread
yeah people do that but its not as big a difference as it looks. The rings make the change look more predominent but if they took them off you'd hardly be able to tell. Think about a neck, where do you consider the neck starts/ ends? now look at the rings in the pic where do they start. The bottom ring is below the girls collar bone. and the top ring is up under her chin, which she keeps held up to reinforce the illusion. The striations in the ring cuase the mind to consider it in many segments as apposed to just one piece. and since many is > 1 it subconciously appears the neck is longer. if you took a ruler how much longer do you thing it would actually be?

Strange...I would have thought that being Renegade would be a more popular way to play.
Most of the french player play Renegade Shepard.
At first I thought that you liked playing a Renegade KFD.
But I suppose that I was wrong...AGAIN... (this is getting ridiculous)

As I said, you're right about Tali (which is a relief).
But for the earth ladies, the length is rather noticeable even without the rings I believe.
And, wow, did I screw it up. Turns out it's an Asian custom! http://en.wikipedia....Long_Neck_Karen
