When do you think they will shut us down this time? My money is on 1100

If they are kind, they will let us beat the previous record (around 1150, I think) before they do.  The thread is already starting to mess up for me and a couple other people though, so it might be sooner :(

How is DA:O though? I never played it.

Perty good, I enjoyed it. Then I played ME2 and was completely blown away, so my judgment of it is kinda skewed now. Before ME2, I prolly would have given it a 9 or 9.5 outta ten. But now, with ME2 and all of Tali's glory in my mind, I don't think I can even score it fairly anymore

Thats what Im afraid of, I am afraid that when I play it ill just want to go back to ME2.

DA:O was a great game in its own ways.  However, it just doesn't stand up to ME2 in my opinion.  If anything would be an indicator it would be that I've played ME2 6 or 7 times now and after I beat DA:O I had no desire to replay it. (I played DA:O before ME2 by the way.)

I'd honestly say if you're done with all of your playthroughs of ME2, starting to get bored of it, then definitely go get it, you'll really like it if you enjoy Bioware games. If you're still kinda hung up on ME2 tho (which is where I am right now), I'd wait until you get past that before picking it up, might sully it a bit for ya;)

I happen to agree, though to a point. It's kinda hard to compare the two games, since the style is pretty different. They're both really great, and comparing them seems kind of unfair. If you like BG, you'll like DA:O.

This. I did 1.5 playthroughs of DA:O, then got bored for a bit, then ME2 came out, and there's no going back (at least, not anytime soon)

comparing anygame to another is unfair is like comparing m&m's to skittles. They are 2 differnt things.

Meh. For me it was more the fact that DA:O is almost 60+ hours depending on difficulty, side quests etc... More then feeling that the combat was substandard. Speaking as someone whos done three playthroughs on DA:O its more the length that will dead'en interest. Not gameplay.

I want to playthrough again and get some achievements I missed, but some parts of the game seem to drag on for me.  And plus, now that I know all the surprises I have less reason to want to trudge through some of the rough parts.
