Shoulda slapped her. I picked her as team leader because of her class name. And didnt care that neither Jack nor Garrus approved.

Oh don't worry, I stuck it to her... ;)

One of my biggest concerns in regards to Tali in ME3 is how high her probability of death is in ME2. She can die if there are no shields, if she's unloyal, and--worst of all--if someone picks the wrong person for the other team.

It almost seems like she's overall the most likely to die :(

I think youre right, she is. Two of my friends put her into a position to get killed, and the only reason she didn't on one of those two was because I stopped him.

"I wasn't going to tell you what to do but youre going to get Tali killed" lol

I'd have had it right the first time if I didn't listen to goddamn Miranda.

"Oh, you need someone with experience to lead the team."  Oh, okay!  How about Samara, she's got more experience than everyone else put together?  "Great choice, Shepard!"  FAIL.

"Oh, any biotic should be able to hold the barrier." Oh, seriously?  Okay, how about you? "Sure!" *dies* FAIL

You're the worst advisor ever, Miranda.

Yeah Miranda's "I could do it" comment in regards to the biotic barrier got Jacob killed on my first play through. Oh man, I had Tali with me, if she had been taken by the swarm (probably the most horrific death), I would've been really unhappy.

And to make her advising even worse, Bioware has to go and make her literally invincible if she's loyal. Can't even get payback.

Or maybe it was all a plot between her and the Illusive man to get everyone killed except for her and leave no evidence of the mission???

You have to admit that Zaeed has the coolest response to "you're the fireteam leader" :D

What is it?

He nods silently, staring into emptiness with the "let's get this party started" look

My point is that she has more "opportunities" to die than other characters.

The tech's life being dependent on the other team leader is especially damning. She's an obvious choice for the tech (hell, she's even the first option available), so many people use her as the vent tech. Yet the "proper" team leader isn't quite so obvious; there's so many people who chose people like Zaeed or Samara because they figured their high combat experience would make them good picks.

Doesn't help that when picking Samara, Miranda encourages it.. Lying ****

I know!!!!!!
We need a team leader with experience, huh?
hmmmmm. Oh! Look! It says 'experience' right there in Samara's bio! Ha! I'm so smart; right, Tali?

Slightly off topic - I thought Zaeed sounded way more British than Australian.  Miranda is Australian: compare.

They're all the same, nonAmerican english speaking bastards.

Or at least, that's what Zaeed would say, given my position.

I'd be careful: it's not only Americans on these forums you know

I sort of hate that Bioware trolled us like that.  I'd have picked Garrus for squad leader without her bulls**t input; he's my Shepard's best buddy and he led a squad of mercenaries very effectively before he got betrayed.  And Samara was pretty clearly the best choice for the biotic barrier, if you don't listen to Miranda's idiocy.

Saw that death on youtube as well. My blood cooled when I heard her scream. The thought of what happens next makes me want to punch a wall and scream "HARBINGER"

And I'm happy to say that I never had Tali die on me, and never will. I only didn't know who to send where on my first run where I epicly failed. Zaeed leading both teams, Thane in vents, Miranda as biotic, Grunt as the escort (he's the best defender.) Luckily Tali never left my side, and Miranda got Samara killed instead of her. Was pretty empty by the end, but at least Tali made it.

Just so I'm clear: I'm joking. Most people on these aren't American. The majority was German a few days ago. Hell, KFD comes from Denmark. I'm retracting that post so that further confusion is avoided.

I figured.  I'm not the politically-correct police, but I know that there are people are more sensitive to those type of comments.  Just like if someone made a comment about "inbred yanks" I'd be laughing, but I'm sure a lot of other people wouldn't be.

I never had her die either.  But the thing is, I could have.

Miranda wasn't loyal to me because I sided with Jack during their fight.
Then came the choice of who to send into the pipe.  I was so close to sending Tali because I was thinking, "Oh, if anyone can do that, it'd be her!"  But then I realized, anyone I send to do anything could die.  So I backtracked on that decision and was like, Legion you're up bro.

I picked Miranda as the fire team leader because she was so sure she could do it.  As it was my first playthrough, I had no idea the person who was leading the second team would affect the life of the person in the vents.  So Legion died.  I was pretty upset Legion died, he's one of my favorite characters.  But I would have been mortified had I not decided, at the last second, to send Legion rather than Tali.
