Harbinger: By altering my mass effect core's output, I can nullify all the mass accelerators of your weapons. They will not work here. All your civilization is built on our technology; the technology of those infinitely your greater. You have used it because we allowed it, and now it fails you because we demand it. You have lost, Shepard.

Tali: Let go of him, you bosh'tet! *tali pulls out her knife, and throws it straight into some circuitry near Harbinger's core, destabilizing the core and allowing Shepard to escape*

And then they launch grenades and stuff at the core and win! :D

those kind of knives are for emergency defensive purposes its a survival knife she has no real reason to use it in combat plus itd be highly ineffective compared to other weapons

But wasnt all that data destroyed by the geth or was that just the ancestor databanks?

I'm pretty sure the Geth incorporated the Quarian knowledge.

Hang on a second good people, are we really talking about changing her outfit? Tali's outfit is brilliant just how it is! Anything else just wouldn't be "Tali" Image IPB

And the whole needing a helmet most of the time thing too... Image IPB

I agree. Myself, i love her outfit the way it is right now, it's a great step forward from her ME 1 outfit, making her look much more adult and much more attractive :P

Totally agree good sir! Image IPB

Happy to hear it ^_^

Wait a minute. Legion has access to the recording of the geth asking questions and becoming sentient before the Morning War. Do the geth keep visual records as well? If so, couldn't we ask Legion to either tell us or show us what Quarians look like? Thoughts?

Perhaps not.  The early Geth might not have been equipped with long term video recording technology.  My theory is that they recorded up to a point and then automatically erased the data at the end of the day.  This gets rid of unnessecary data that the geth had no use for at the time. Audio is easier to store and wasnt the bit that Legion played just a fragment anyway?

Someone wondered if there's any additional dialogue when you bring Tali to the first conversation with Fist on Omega a while back - there isn't, I just tried.

Would've been nice, yeah. But Fist seemed way too unimportant in ME2 in the first place, I didn't expect any additional dialogue.
Additionally, there's no new dialogue for bringing Tali to that Quarian salvage trader on Omega.

Maybe Bioware forgot about it or thought it wasn't important.

yes, or they thought most of the people took Wrex with them to Fist in ME 1, which leads to Fist getting shot in the face of course

(i was one of them, for example)

It wouldn't have been a terrible lost.
I don't think there is much Fist fans in this world.

Hey, I haven't played MF2 :P
I didn't want to support a publisher jacking up the price (PC version anyway), just because they had a major release they could get away with it.

Probably the latter. Fist is basically not more than a random drunk in a bar, and most people will talk to him before they get to recruit Tali.

And like the NPC Emily Wong would say "nobody will cry after him".

OK now it makes sense, I had no idea what you all were talking about.  I brought Wrex with me every time, Fist is a douche, one of the few people I ALWAYS did renegade option for.

Tali and Fist meet on Omega. Fist is shown scared once he sees that its her.

Tali: Fist! First, just have to thank you for letting me meet up with Shepard. Now you have to die.

Fist: Now....now Tali, it was only business!

Tali: Maybe, but now I'm the one with the shotgun.

*Bang*

In a pitched battle, yes. However, do not discount the value of "old tech" weaponry such as a dagger. It doesn't run out of ammo, it doesn't overheat and it allows for silent kills if the wielder is proficient enough. It has it's place though I agree that against modern weaponry it seems more a "niche" weapon than the standard.
