I think it is worth noting that the structure of Mass Effect encourages (unintentionally I think) people to not only love their favorite character, but also to attack other characters, especially one as awesome as Tali. I think we all recognize that certain characters will get more focus than others in ME3. If Tali gets the spotlight then some other character is reduced to singing backup. I would personally hate to see any character I love get the treatment Ashley Williams got in ME2. To that end it is not enough to love a character, you have to tear down other characters and their supporters who might threaten your favorite's leading role. There are always some who just like to tear things down, but I would expect that a lot of complainers and Tali trolls are not just jealous of her support, but afraid what might happen to their own favorite. How might we react if we thought Tali was about to be written out?

A salient observation, IMO. However, precisely because of BioWare's multi-pronged story telling approach, I would argue that it is entirely possible for them to create games where each character can be one of the leading men or women depending on how you choose to play the game. Thus there need not be any overt hate from any of the camps, even as we all express our support for certain members in particular.

if tali was written out of the game it would be another stab in the heart from bioware and i for one wouldnt purchase the game maybe a rent but not a buy it wouldnt be worth it if you couldnt continue to enjoy the character whos been in both games and has seemingly truely fallen in love with you Tali's character is soo far different than the others that if they wrote her out now bioware would lose a huge fan base and the support of alot of people in my opinion
