Stabbing someone in the back is "badass"? It's the very opposite, pretty much the most cowardly thing you could do.
Besides, making the ship easier to kill... even more cowardice! Difficulty is what makes ME2's combat system so fun. Insanity is wonderful, and I wish there were an even higher difficulty setting.

I just finished what will be my canon Shepard for ME3.



All crew saved, including Kelly, done every mission possible (all galaxy 100% explored) until more DLC comes out, with a Vanguard male Shepard that was a paragon at almost level 60, without romance, and he now Renegade a little more ("this shop is against the poor!"), but he stayed quite blue in the end.



Rejected Suze without having some "f*ck off!" line over and over, never gave an oportunity for Miranda to think about me in any non-proffesional way, and loved Tali so much I can't figure my Alem Shepard without her in ME3.



Ahhh, this game's fantastic, and Tali is even more fantastic.
