I rather like the loyalty armor on him too, but probably because he then matched my Shep.'s armor better :P

Quick sidenote on the taking Garrus into the quarantine zone convo earlier... My Shep. took him along mainly because I assumed he'd wear the bad conditions helmet (silly me :P) and she figured 1. he's Garrus and Garrus > disease :P and 2. She was going to go in and cure the plague in some way anyway, so he'd be fine. My Shepard is always very certain of success... I think her most frequent line in both games has been "We'll make it", and so far she's been right =D

Shep (Paraphrased):"I have every intention of kicking Collector ass and living to tell the tale."

Joker: "Glad you're the one in charge."

You know to add to the list of "DERP" moments in the game is the one everyone keeps talking about with taking Garrus into the quarantine zone. Was I the only person who remembered.. He has a helmet? And it's safe to use in vaccum? Oh I'm sorry was I not supposed to remember that Bioware D: I'm sorry if my constant fawning and caring over him exposes logic errors <_<

And in a totally unrelated note, I can't stand Garrus loyalty armor. White/black is fine. White/black/red is fine. But blue/black/white/red is just too random for me. Do you guys even use that? I assume not since everyone posts screens with him in his dead-sexy arcangel blues.

lol @ quarantine zone. I felt bad taking him directly to there after what happened (facial scars and all), but I wanted my bros with me. I'm selfish that way.

And the loyalty armor is hit-or-miss. tbqh, I think a black-orange get up would have been cool (even though that's Grunt's colors), but it just ain't Garrus without the blues. Aside from that, I switched everyone over to loyalty colors and I just haven't really gotten around to changing them.

Lorik sends mail? D: I won't get to see it on my first playthrough because I kind of messed up and found Parasini first. (I didn't even know I could get the key from her until it happened... and then I later found out that Shepard can get Parasini and Anoleis to kill each other.)

My Shepard didn't even want another beer. xD After "accidentally" ordering the strongest drink in Dark Star, drinking brandy with Dr. Chakwas, and getting poisoned by that batarian bartender, she decided never to drink again... until Garrus brought the wine.

I liked the loyalty armor...until I had to try to make a plushie based off of it. Now I like it...much less.

For the quarantine zone, now I take him with me every time but for my first playthrough I was PETRIFIED that he was going to get sick, and that would affect his performance in the suicide mission and then he would die and it would be all my fault noooo, so I sent his turian ass back to the ship so fast.

Then I checked the internet later, realized Bioware wouldn't do that, and I felt silly.

I finally got through the endgame last night, (I know, it took me forever), but I realized that he's the most indispensable crewmember you have. He can do everything on that mission.

OMG, I want the lithograph. I'm really broke though and it's hard to justify buying it. But it's not an item that's gonna be there forever. ARRRGH, catch 22.

woot! Ordered.

Edit: Tempted to order another, but don't want to deprive a fellow Garrus supporter of the chance to own this awesome art.

I just don't like his face in that one. It looks old and wrinkly to me. And shouldn't I see his head fringe from that angle? Pretty sure I should. I dunno I love the art and respect it and the artist, but I don't want to buy a garrus that reminds me of darth sideous :?

Hey everyone, I've got a gift in the form of hi-res Garrus screenshots (they make for amazing desktops) from his first appearance scene when you recruit them. For those of you with large monitors, say goodbye to that official low-res Garrus screenshot you've been using as a desktop (you know which one!).

https://rcpt.yousend...01f96a191fc8452

Much thanks!

May I make a request? Do you think you could grab a hi-res of the Team Selection menu? Where he is chosen to be apart of your team?

So did anybody else notice that all the male LIs end up in a loyalty-burning confrontation, while nothing happens with the female ones? True, they're more psychotic as a whole, but it's kind of disappointing; LIs aside, I'd think Grunt and Mordin would have a few words to exchange regarding the genophage.

So, what possible confrontations do you think Garrus would get into? Thane's so laid back and they admire/respect one another enough that I can't see them fighting over anything. I hate to throw Jacob under the bus, since the guy gets a lot of undeserved flak for being the new Kaidan (and Femshep's come-ons), but I think he'd be the most likely to end up in an argument with him; Garrus would probably find the Jacob's justifications on working for Cerberus (sure, they're evil racist bastards, but I disagree with that part of their philosophy, so it's all good) bull****.

Maybe Grunt? Hell, everyone has the potential to end up in a fight with Grunt. It's Grunt.

I tried to find Lorik's email, could have sworn I had it, but I must have seen it online somewhere or something (can't find it now to save my life though). Anyway it starts off with something like "what's that human expression? A fly in the lotion?" and has several others like that. Wish I'd bookmarked where I found it *sigh*

I say Garrus and Samara would be the most likely to have some sort of confrontation, though it'd be more of a disagreement over just vs. non-just vigilante violence, since both ARE vigilantes. (Side note: Anyone get the feeling that if Samara knew the story, she'd go bring Sidonis to justice herself? Just a thought) They're on a similar wavelength though, so... maybe not.

I think he and Grunt would probably have one. Obvious reasons, of course.

Nah, Grunt wouldn't attack Garrus, he's too afraid of Shepard. ;) Plus, they're both in the same clan now.

I think there's a reason Garrus is one of the team leaders on the final mission, EVERYONE gets along with him, even Jacob.

I would have spaced samara if she went after Sidonis.

Garrus should have the final say over anything and everything to do with that Turian IMO. Besides, he gave himself up to C-sec.. What else can he do? Suicide? The only option he has now is to try and make amends somehow. Law isnt going to be able to touch him unless he does something stupid again, which he won't :3 (Speaking strictly to all the awesome paragons who let him live)

For those who were curious, the Lorik e-mail, as posted by lily_mist over at the LJ Mass Effect comm:

"A fly in the lotion

From Lorik Qu'in

Commander Shepard
I've
come to have a lot of balls in flight, as you humans say. It was
brought to by attention that you're still around working on something
secret. Frankly, I hope that whatever you do keeps you far away from
Noveria this time, but if you must come back and what is it, upset the
fruit cart, let me know and I'll clear a path for you for old time's
sake.

A pleasure as always,

Lorik Qu'in Adminstrator, Port Hanshan"

I love his attempts to use human sayings

I think the 'balls in flight' is supposed to be 'balls in the air' - as in juggling lots of things. And 'upset the fruit cart' is supposed to be 'upset the apple cart'.

One last note before I'm off to bed... Horrible as it is to watch everyone die, this vid somehow makes me laugh... perhaps it's the Mr.Clean looking Shepard...

Honestly I think if it were in my power, I'd make the import game for someone importing a save that really killed everybody go like this : Cutscene of Reapers entering the galaxy with a lot of fire and brimstone followed by text "Having no one to defend them, the peoples of the galaxy fell to the might of the Reapers. Would you like to start a new game?" ... Then again I'm mean when I'm tired  I'll probably regret it tomorrow...  And now, good night, for real -_-

P.S. Sorry for copy/paste link rather than clicky. Link add thing hates me currently.

Hahahah, I would want to do the same for anyone that went to all of the trouble of getting Shep through the suicide mission alive only to go let Morinth mindrape them to death :P

Even though my Shepards always let Garrus shoot Sidonis, they wouldn't approve of Samara killing him. It's Garrus' vengeance, and my Shepards wouldn't let Samara take that away from him. Shepard #7 (I'm giving them numbers, it's easier that way. xD) wanted to kill Jacob's father and Morinth himself, but he let Jacob and Samara deal with it for their own peace of mind. He did kill the Cerberus guy for Toombs though, but that was because he knew no one would question him and Toombs would end up in prison if he did it. If there was an option to let Toombs kill the guy and have Shepard take the blame, that would have been perfect for him.

@kirstieroo: Thanks for posting that. :) Lorik's attempts to use human sayings are adorable. My Shepards can't understand most of them, and they're human. xD

I did the same.  I avoided all contact with the internet during the first few days I had the game, only to also realize belatedly that, as much as Bioware deserves the high opinion I have of them, I had been letting myself expect a little TOO much erm....logical cause and effect....in the game.
