Anyone got any screenies of Garrus lying in the pool of blood? What's the status of his face there? There were mutliple rockets fired, plus a gun battle afterwards, remember. Also, shrapnel.

He's lying with his right side to the floor, and through camera shot trickery, his right face side is never shown. Also it is clear that only one rocket was needed to bring Garrus down.

I have one where you can see he's got a blood nose, which I'd never noticed before I took the screen shot O_o

Also: I'm planning to make some music videos for my Shep and Garrus, first one I thought of was kinda fun with Nicki French's Total Eclipse of the Heart, cause I'm a sucker for the 'bright eyes' lines and Garrus' eyes are bright...

Yes, only one hit him head on, but the airship fired a good few, and the thing about rocket blast radius is that it tends to be not small.



But if his right side it on the floor, then it could be an impact injury from when he landed. Or, given that we know know very little about turian physiology, we don't know how they would have needed to go about operating to fix massive head trauma. Maybe going in through the face was safer,,,

The true answer to the Garrus scar anomaly is that the matinee sequence's creators didn't expect you all to nitpick it this much, and deemed making a pre-patched injured Garrus head model wasn't worth it considering the screen time it'd have. 

As for the bloody nose, I'm guessing it's an alternate use of whatever mateial effect is used for other characters getting all misty-eyed.  Easier to set up a procedural system like that instead of making a model and texture set by hand.

And I just realised something while playing ME2. BW got lazy in many things, but one thing I realised is that Garrus just drops his jaw to talk in gameplay in comparison to the cutscenes.

First calibrations, now jaw-dropping Garrus? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE, BW!!!

Not properly lip-synced like in ME1, but basically like how puppets talk when you drop the jaw, only that Garrus' jaw (or chin) drops in that way to open his mouth in gameplay. And it holds there until Garrus finished talking. I had goosebumps for a second when Garrus' chin dropped and he said 'Scoped and Dropped' without closing his mouth to take a breath.

Articulating is for the weak. Garrus can formulate words with his vocal cords alone.

But the puppet analogy is creepy. I remember this one horror film about a puppeteer woman who ripped her victims' tongues out (I think it was called Dead Silence). The film was complete garbage, but the puppets were terrifying.

In the "one good turn" department (or for those traumatized by raptor penis and need good fic to help unsee bad fic), I highly recommend Fever Dream's "Invictus" on fanfiction.net as a great (and still ongoing) Garrus/Shep story.

EDIT:  and when I say "bad fic" I'm coming from the "no grounds upon which to talk" department considering I wrote the infamous "Down with the 'Ship."

(I know, I missed 1000, SAD PANDA, but stuff came up.  Wooo 1000!)
