Hell, considering his evolution from game 1 to 2, I'm not even sure Garrus really knows himself. He's got a better grasp, sure, but ... something's still missing.

I agree that Garrus is a little bit lost in his life when Shepard comes back into it. I think he thought he k new exactly who he was and what he was doing, but the Sidonus stuff shakes his foundations. Shepard is his rock, man! She completes him (also true of bromance Garrus, to a lesser extent).
(You could throw in the Barthes argument that even an author loses control over how their work is understood the moment it gains an audience other than them... so, yes. Not even the writer really knows! lol. I think I need to go to bed. )

The Barthes argument? This is some technical term, isn't it? oO *googles*
Also, when is Overlord due? I need more story. /stomach growls

I always wondered if Lorik would have that drink with femshep in ME3, its not fair that Male shep gets hit on all the time, Femsheps should be able to get hit on by guys too! I would love it if you could meet Lorik again at a bar and get special dialogue if you are female.
SEE THIS BW?
PLEASE, TAKE NOTE.
It doesn't HAVE to be lorik but...it would make sense in theory. Think about it, both shepards help Gianna and maleshep gets a kiss from her. And for the opposite outcome (not helping gianna) both genders help Lorik, so its not so crazy for Lorik to have a drink with femshep and maybe flirt a bit
(You have a default conversation with Lorik when you find him sitting in a bar, when you reach the end of the conversation by selecting the standard "I should go" on the dialogue wheel, added dialogue appears if you are femshep)
Femshep: I should go
Lorik: It was nice to see you again commander...although, I had hoped to pay for just one other drink , what's the expression? "Two's company, four's a crowd?". Not that your friends aren't charming, it's I just assumed you knew my message was a private invitation. Oh well, perhaps when you're done saving Galaxy we could do this again sometime.
Femshep: Goodbye Quinn
Lorik: Goodbye Shepard ,I will continue to enjoy the bar.
With romanced garrus

Garrus: Hmm, didn't realize you had a thing for Turians commander. This is quite the surprise.
Femshep: (smiles and shakes head)
Lorik: Oh? How interesting. You do seem to have a special affect on Turian men Shepard, its just too bad I didn't get there first ...perhaps when you're done saving Galaxy we could do this again sometime. Platonically of course.

It is subjective...on one hand, Garrus has been there since forever. On the other, was what he told about his younger life and about his dad even to know him?janeym27 wrote...
Can anyone ever really claim to KNOW Garrus?

No, doesn't necessarily have to be Lorik (BUT DEAR GOD NOT CONRAD HE'S MARRIED FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-)Hyrule_Gal wrote...

So it wouldn't be that weird for him to take special interest in femshep. Also I just realized it would be comedic gold if Garrus responded to it. So heres the dialogue without garrus;

Both KOTOR games. I haven't found it in anything else, then again I recently got an Xbox (probably a year ago) and have been playing Xbox games on that. The only other major glitch I can recall in regards to Xbox on Xbox 360 was Halo 2 where the screen would tear and stay shadowed.
@ Hyrule_Gal: I'd like to see that conversation in ME3.
@ ELE08: How did you get Shepard that close to Garrus without him running off? He always seems to think my Shepard is walking into him and he's in the way, so he moves. xD

My FemShep hooked up with her once. For science and all. I don't have to do it again. Completely unattached playthrough in progress...I'm trying to finish Noveria so I can go talk to Liara and make sure she's not all over me or something. Then, I'll go talk to Garrus some more. He's still got a few conversations left.

I find it highly amusing that after this past Memorial day weekend,
where friends from out of state were staying at our place, one of the
guys staying over played ME2. And when I told him who I romanced, he
kind of cocked his head to the side and said, "Wait, really? Like...
Garrus?! Why?!"
My gamer friend from work didn't even bother to say that. I told him I dumped Thane; he asked why. I told him I was romancing Garrus instead. He proceeded to look at me like I was a moldy orange that had rolled behind the dryer. A moldy orange that had sprouted wings.

I always thought of Garrus as a child in that sense, as in he learns a great deal from Shepard's actions and is looking for Shepard's guidance throughout. In another sense, he's pretty much the best friend someone could have, following you everywhere no matter what.janeym27 wrote...

Now it is forever ingrained into my memory. Garrus is no less awesome. Only real men can wear a ballerina outfit and still be a BAMF.

MaleShep: I say we put her back in that Prothean force field she was trapped in on Therum. You know, just during the possible romance scenes, so she won't corner us. Who's with me?

He's determined. xD (And actually less insane in ME1 than ME2. Can you believe it?) And just to keep it Garrus-related... he talked to Garrus too much and his conversations ran out early, but he'll get a new one after Virmire. But then it's over to ME2, where he'll only get to talk with Garrus twice. At least he gets Tali! It makes all the Liara dodging worth it.
