I forgot to add - yesterdays conversations on the Clan V group discussion boards we were talking about phobias.
I'm terrified of Zombies. I used to love horror films until I saw the original Dawn of the Dead - since then I can't watch films that have zombies in them, even funny ones like Shaun of the Dead.
I don't like zombie Garrus
Phobias are 'irrational fears' (myself: needles and pregnancy). I think zombies are a perfectly rational thing to be afraid of. I have a 'Zombocalypse Survival Kit' all prepared in case.
I have epic visions of Garrus in a zombocalypse now. He would be the lone sniper who picks off several zombies from a diatance without breaking a sweat, just when our plucky young hero and his/her friends are about to be undead fodder. He will then begrudgingly tag along, saving their lives on numerous occasions, before being lost in the final all out zombie assault: last seen firing into a hoard of ferocious brain-eaters and our heros make their final bid for escape (no death. We know he'll be back in the sequel if it comes. If not, well, doesn't that zombie to the bottom right of the screen look suspiciously like Garrus....) OK. That's far too much excitement for Wednesday morning at the office. I think I need to start getting appropriate amounts of sleep before work.

He could read the phone book and I'd listen to it. lol
Hmmm... someone should commision him to do a series of books on tape. WAIT! He should read the Mass Effect books on tape! Just....'cos!
Patrick Warbaton! I knew there was someone with an awesome voice I had forgotten. Get Brandon Keener, Kevin Conroy and Patrick Warbaton in a room together and just record them (maybe Simon Templeman and Michael Bell, if they aren't too busy). Clothes would melt all over the show. In fact, the world may have to go naked for a time.

Same here, he would probably be the best sidekick in case of zombie apocalypse. If anyone masters the headshot its Garrus! You gotta hit em in tha head. Smart and cool one liners like his are also necesary when fighting the undead. Tali could also be a classic zombie hunter with her shotgun and smartass snarky sarcasms.Buggirl70 wrote...

Well, your (my) basic apocalypse survival bug-out bag has water, rope, duct tape, matches and a lighter, cerial bars, penut butter, water purifying tablets, clean socks, sleeping bag/blankets, foil groundsheet, a big-ass knife, a swiss army knife, first aid stuff, bottle of vodka/scotch, bin bags, bleach, LED flashlight, batteries, radio, change of clothing... I also have a tin cup, hand sanitiser and a dust mask. It's a standard 'all-round apocalypse' kit. Designed for on the run evacuation (you have to balance between how much water you need, and how much you can carry as well.) Obviously, for a kit you are leaving in your house in case you get barricaded in, you can have a lot more food and drink. I've planned to be on the move because major cities are not where you want to be when this stuff goes down. I also keep a hairpin in my sock in case of kidnap. Just saying: it's good advice.

@ silentstephi: I was browsing your awesome turian tattoo database, and I had a few thoughts.
1) The Bostra Outpost tattoo (n°2, the one that was recently found on here). I don't think the colony was actually located on Ontarom.
Firstly, Ontarom is uninhabited: its description says it's only a candidate for settlement. Moreover, it's not a safe one, as one of its moons is slowly crashing into it.
Secondly, it's not located in turian space. While it's plausible that there could be turian colonies outside of turian space, pretty much all of the systems you visit in ME1 are located at the opposite end of turian space. Shep comments something to that effect during the Espionage Probe sidequest, when Hackett mentions that the probe in question was meant to go into turian space. That particular sidequest takes place in the Voyager Cluster, not the Kepler Verge, but the two are not that far apart, so if the Voyager Cluster is at the opposite end of the galaxy from turian space, I don't think the Kepler Verge is much nearer to it.
Thirdly, even if Ontarom was inhabited, it isn't a turian name. In ME2, you can identify the species which inhabit some of the Terminus Systems pretty clearly by their names: turian-inhabited planets have Latin-sounding names (Caestus, Vir, Pietas, Invictus, etc.), which is not the case for Ontarom.
2) Septimus' tattoo, while being almost exactly like Nihlus', is missing the middle part (around the nose area), so he should probably be put in a subsection for that pattern.
3) This is a speculation about the spider pattern (15 and 19). Is it just me, or does the spidery bit look like it's actually engraved into the carapace, rather than painted on, like the rest of the tats? The difference is more obvious in pattern 19, because it's got both types of pattern: the pink bit is painted on, the spidery bit is engraved. That, and the fact that the spidery pattern looks drastically different from most other patterns (which are either geometrical, or include thicker, more regular strokes) makes me think that this could be an injury or residual scarring from a disease. It almost looks like the face plate is fractured, as if from an impact. What do you think? Too many headbutts? Or am I overanalyzing?
4) Pattern 22 makes me wonder whether it's not actually the lilac-coloured part which is the tattoo, rather than the darker markings. Like, the whole face + head is painted lilac, with the exception of a patch on the forehead, some stripes under the eyes and one on the chin. The main reason I'm thinking this is that the forehead patch looks like it's got some lilac spatter on it. The other reason is that the darker coloured patches look more like a natural turian skin tone. Rather than the lilac...

I hate husks. Especially when I'm playing in infiltrator, cause it's hard to get them off me if I accidentally let some get too close. Garrus is much better at taking them out than I am.

Awww really? That's a pity, because Shaun of the Dead is incredibly funny. "Kill these creatures by destroying the brain or removing the head. I repeat, destroying the brain... or removing the head." I would pay a lot to hear Garrus say that, lol.
I haven't seen the original Dawn of the Dead, only the remake. I've seen the original Night of the Living Dead though, but black & white just doesn't work for me
So I invited my friend and we watched it at my house
But yeah, Garrus would be super at zombiekilling.

Ah, Noveria.
The planet of donut-loving turians...

...strangely attractive older men...

...and awesome engineers. Li grinning when you ask him about his personal life is just adorable.

My decisions on Noveria were also different than usual. I didn't talk to Gianna/Anoleis first, mostly because I forgot where they were supposed to be (last time I played was about 2 years ago). So I went and talked to Lorik first instead. Broke into Synthetic Insights, grabbed the evidence, got a convo about Gianna wanting to see me before I talked to Lorik again, ignored it, and then just gave Lorik the evidence. Gianna was so pissed when I spoke to her after that!
Oh well, she can stuff her Internal Affairs. Lorik is more awesome than her.
As for ME2, I finally got around to doing Recruit the Convict on my most recent playthrough. Here are some screenies. Kuril has pretty eyes.

I'll take this picture apart for a moment. Sorry for the interruption, but I couldn't help but LOL at this one. Mordin. Staring. At. Kuril's. Butt. Well, if humans are a bit too exotic for him...

You know, I'm actually supposed to write a MaleShep/Mordin slashfic for a request. Among the usual info the requester gave me (pairing, amount of crackiness, general information about the way they want the fic to go) was a little bonus point challenge. One of the bonus point objectives was, and I quote:
"Make it so that Shepard (for whatever reason, maybe food poisoning or something?) can't do Samara's loyalty mission and Mordin is forced to take his place and seduce Morinth. Oh, and when he enters Afterlife's VIP area, MAJOR BONUS POINTS IF YOU MAKE PRACTICALLY EVERY BAR PATRON (BOTH MALE AND FEMALE!) HIT ON HIM. Yes, including that one turian harassing that asari stripper."
And do you want to know the worst thing? I'm actually writing it as we speak. ARGH.
It's just like kglaser said. I am a
