Story so far, Tali crash landed in your colony, and is now at the mercy of a rogue General in control of the Alliances hidden nuke stockpile. WE are a farmer that helped her evade the soldiers and security that shot her down. Tali tracked the radiation of the missiles to this colony. We managed to get a signal to the Normandy and Garrus managed to arrive just in time for use as prisoners to be driven away. But not before tagging the vehicle with a tracking bug from his sniper rifle.

Wow, that's a lot to read. Maybe I'll just watch for a while and join in if I manage to finish. I found the part where Garrus shot the tracking bug though. :)

That sounds fun...wish we had a resident GM here that could run something similar.

And, just for the record, I have managed to get 5 others playing ME now. Yay! Although one of the guys complained because there was "too much story'' /facepalm

I am still not speaking to him /kidkid

"Too much story?" xD Impossible! We want more story. And I want more story in the form of an expansion pack, because watching the DLC on youtube just isn't the same as actually playing the game.

I did convince a friend from work and her bf to play, loaned them my copy of ME1 - they then went out and bought ME2.  I can't seem to get my partner to play though - he doesnt really like RPG's and he spends a lot of his free time playing EVE.

I don't like EVE that much. Although it looks very pretty in graphics, it is rather dull.

I'm also hoping for an RPG book and a full art book like they had for ME1. How long after ME1 was that art book released?

For most video games, usually a month or two. Sometimes other video games are rather stingy and don't ever release art books (such as Final Fantasy *glare*). I recalled the Mass Effect 1 art book came out just a day after Mass Effect came out on xbox 360. But for ME2, probably they released it with the Collector's Edition.

@bug

Trying to convince my other half to play it to. He is more interested in true FPS but I will continue to nag...I mean try and convince him as I know he will really like it. He is probably scared he will catch my addiction lol

@Alex

The ME2 book with the CE was nice enough. But little and lacking in any real design detail (but being a designer, I am hard to please).

This was interesting though if you haven't already seen it:

@Rebe: I liked that article. Makes me wish I had ZBrush on the macs at uni.

I hope that BW releases art books. But then again, they probably won't, since they'll probably sell each piece as a lithograph separately to get more money...

I would be open to writing something of the sort, though I'd need a short while to think of a good idea or two for it.

Awesome. :) It would be nice to follow one of those "choose your own adventure" games from the beginning. I've been reading the one in the Tali thread.

Well that was an adorably awkward romance.

Wrapped up ME2 last night on an "everybody goes home - except Garrus, you come with me" playthrough. Had to lose Jack's loyalty but didn't give her anything important to do, so all ends well.

His outfit sure makes me want to play it on PC with a texture mod, though. That thing is appalling. I wonder if turian vision has low color contrast sensitivity, they seem to really favor garish blends of pastel and dayglo.

My first time through ME2, I don't remember seeing any bugs. My second time through: flying Mordin, and Garrus climbing onto every piece of cover he could find. Also, he once got stuck in his "casting" pose, with his Omni-tool arm extended. He just stood there, with his sniper rifle drawn and his arm outstretched, and wouldn't move. During Legion's LM, it happened again...to both him and Legion. Had a rather unsettling "WWII Germany" vibe going for a few moments Image IPB

Thus far the only major glitch I've found was during Samara's recruitment; I took cover against a rounded corner to do some sharpshooting, and every time I bent around the corner to scope I'd move about 2 "game feet" up the wall, stuck to it. I finally realized something was wrong - having my eyes focused down-range - when I saw Garrus' fringe pass through the bottom of my scope.

The only glitch I got was the Garrus crouching affect in one of the N7 missions. After the battle had ended, I had Miranda only come to me in my hidden spot and noticed that Garrus didn't come. Then I saw him squatting and standing up repeatedly. It ended when I encountered another set of enemies and Garrus magically appeared next to me.

That's exactly what happened to me...it looks hilarious. And painful.
Other than that I can't remember many glitches...ME2 is a pretty polished game. Now ME1...that game had a lot more glitches.

Ahh, squadmates getting stuck on terrain...I once got Tali literally tangled in some tent ropes. She was in her "falling" motion in the middle of them. If I could've taken a screenshot, I would have. Sometimes, they'd also randomly stand or crouch behind a crate and refuse to move. Had to go back, run past them and press the "rally" button, and then maybe they'd get unstuck. Good times.

Also, during UNC: Listening Post Alpha, when I came out of the mines after clearing the Rachni, on two different playthroughs my game just slowed down to a choppy crawl with really low textures. Good thing the Mako was parked right at the entrance, otherwise getting back to it would've been really painful.

Oh, yes! One more ME2 glitch I got on my second run that I didn't get on my first: the Kasumi camouflage texture change. When she starts looking like she's wearing a door pattern. Come to think of it, it's almost as if the game were going "oshi-, it's her first time through, better shape up!" Then when I go for a second round "ah, it's her again...meh, can't be bothered to make an effort anymore *glitch*"

I saw this when I was watching Ugly Shepard live once. I lol'd pretty hard :D.

Never had problems in ME2 myself as far as I can remember. Garrus behaved just fine :D

Oh yeah, I remembered another glitch from ME2. There was the headless turian glitch, where one of the dummy dead bodies of a Blue Suns turian on Mordin's recruitment mission keeps disappearing and reappearing again.

ME3 (and DA2) at E3?

Interesting. Don't know what to think about it, but it sure is interesting.
