Huh, Liara is surprisingly polarizing across gender lines. I didn't expect so many (females?) to dismiss her as lesbian/male fanservice option. Bioware forums, I am kind of disappoint.

But she is.

That's not to say that others can't genuinely prefer her as a romance option, but she was pretty much put into the game for the guys rather than the girls.

Yeah, I have yet to find a vid for the Jacob rejection.  I have seen all of the Garrus rejection vids, and why would someone reject Calibrater for Mr. Cardboard Cutout LI (Sorry Jacob, it's nothing personal.).

On a side note, why is it after I just got done reading all 300+ pages in the v1 and v2 threads that I feel like I have nothing to add?  I guess it's because all of you guys have said everything that I have been thinking all along .

On another, another side note.  I don't remember who was saying that they were going to make a fan script for a  post Omega 4 Relay excursion for repairs on Palaven, but I wanted to offer fangirl encouragement to do so.  I would drool over a chance to read a nice long fanscript about meeting Papa Garrus with Garrus as a LI.

Exactly. It's not a "dismissal," it's the Gods-honest truth. Heck, BioWare has flat-out stated that the asari were deliberately created to be the hawt alien babes of the ME universe.

Well, at first I didn't really care and found Ashley a lot more annoying. It was in ME2 when he gives his, "You betrayed everything we stood for!" rant that I found him most annoying.. <_<

re: video of Garrus SASS-- omg, that's AWEsome.  arggggghhh, I really want that dialogue in my canon playthrough where he's romanced, but I also want 100% survival in my canon too .  No fair.....Also, that is so satisfying after Miranda just volunteers herself to immediately be like..mmmmmmyeah GARRUS can lead the team and she's like..."FEH...well, I...stammer..hmph."  And the way Shep kind of gives her this look for a second (wish the helmet was off in that video.  who wears the Cerberus armor anyway?????)  It's not as funny when Jack's there b/c it's actually more like Shepard finding a *solution* to the tension by going for someone outside of their little spat.

EDIT: Also, iirc that's the first time Garrus says anything definitive about not trusting Cerberus?  When you ask him about it doesn't he normally just brush it off and say something like "well I guess I endeared myself to them a little by being a part of the team that took down Saren."   Interesting that now we know he secretly really did not like them, but I guess kep it to himself out of respect of Shep's decisions?  And also that apparently all this time he reeeeeallllly didn't like Miranda, interesting indeed (since he doesn't say anything when Jacob pipes up guess he's more neutral on him.  But maybe that's b/c he doesn't know about the cuttlebone comment <_<).  Awww, now I'm all heartwarmed thinking that the whole time Garrus was secretly, like, keeping an eye on those Cerberus bastards for any funny business just in case, just another way of having Shepard's back.

Re: on cuttlebones. Yeah, they are something that you give pet birds (of all types, including canaries) to chew on, for calcium and salt and stuff, and to keep their beaks trimmed. They are actually the endoskeletons of cuttlefish, which are mollusks related to squid and octopi. (Which is kind of sad since, well, people are killing scores of these things to keep birds happy.)



So basically, unless Jacob's calling Garrus something for birds to chew on, I... have no idea why he'd directly call Garrus a cuttlebone. Cuttlebone-chewer maybe.



Also, love that little clip of Angry Garrus. I don't like Miranda, either, Garrus. Go Garrus!
