Well good for her; last Shepard stuck with the best man on the ship as well. But let's be honest, he's got a different diet, little spare time on his hands, and no gift for flirting in the slightest ;D. Regardless of what she wants she's never pushy; Kelly can just be a fun buddy who tends to your fish.



Garrus is a meal you savor to the last; Kelly's more like gum. It's nice, but it doesn't really pay off and you can be done with it whenever you like.

I must be one of the few people who doesn't think of Kelly as so much "easy" as "open to discussion". For one thing, she knows Shepard is often on the move to say nothing of in the military, and probably doesn't have a lot of close relationships. Maybe she talks about all of the male LIs the way she does to make Shepard start thinking about having something of her own.
And come on - when else is FemShep going to girl talk if not with Kelly over dinner?

I would've liked Kelly, just that her lines (mixed with some FemShep c'mons) imply creepy girl-on-girl action. I mean it is okay if you are close friends (my close high school friend does that a lot just to get a few laughs), but you've just met Kelly and FemShep just utters 'I'll just do more than embrace you, Kelly.' (which makes FemShep the most creepiest female in the galaxy)

Kelly would've been better for FemShep if there was more of a friendship, but they just canon-balled the ManShep part with the FemShep part.

I've never been able to get her to feed my damn fish unless I flirt with her. : /

As it stands, only my Paragon is in the "nice" mood. My Renegade didn't shut her down right away (but totally told her to step off when it came to Garrus XD.)



There's doing your job... and there's just... creepy. Kelly has to get into creepy territory before you can relax, if you want your fish to survive. (I've tried going back after EVERY SINGLE MISSION. It doesn't work.)

I've actually went back and fed my fish for every single mission and it my fish are alive for me (had a post-it note attached to my monitor that says in capital letters 'feed Shep's fish' to remind myself) I suppose the reason why is that certain loyalty missions don't take you back to the Normandy (Garrus, Thane and Miranda's missions)

I've actually been struck with the notion that Kelly is more your shipboard Carebear rather than the raving nympho that she seems to be struck with.

I find that for my fish that saving in my quarters is the only way I can keep them alive (since I don't let Kelly do it). I feed them after every mission, but if you "save" and exit the game on board the Normandy after you feed them, when you load back in, they can be fed again. I believe if you go do something after that without feeding them, that they die while you are away.

She stuck with the nympho tag line because of the aliens love line "Passion is great where ever you can get it"? Right? That might not be the exact line, but tag that on with the flirty attitude? And yea, you get ship bicycle treatment.



Honestly, I'd be perfectly fine to think of her as JUST a councilor who's just a tad touchy/feely. I wouldn't mind that so much... if the lines weren't so FLIRTY. Gah! It's pretty much the same thing that Jacob suffers from: The lines that were written are just cringe worthy.

Jacob's romance is honest not THAT bad, just that FemShep and Jacob exchange horrible lines when they get romantic. Also, I can never get over the fact that FemShep smiles so creepily in Jacob's romance scene (even more creepy with a Sheploo replacement in place of FemShep).



But FemShep does look alright when she smiles-smirks during Garrus' romance. I'm hoping that they fix how Shepard smiles. At least they got rid of the brow wrinkles from ME1.

I imagine it's a lot harder to engage in an informal bonding ritual with a different species, let alone a different culture. Don't get me wrong, I love the quarian to death, but she's not human. That's not a fault, just a fact. It doesn't make her less, just without common frames of reference. You tell a hilarious story about the bizarre lengths a guy in high school went to get your attention and it's either offensive or incredibly touching because of cultural differences, you're kind of left laughing awkwardly when she gets all serious, nobody can share ice cream, it's just a mess.

Cultural stuff aside, I still think Tali would make a better "girl friend" than Kelly.  I know for my Shep at least.  Point being.... you guys can gossip about guns, ships, tactics, etc.
Screw this preconception that girl talk has to be about cloths n stuff.

I agree. Most of my FemSheps would get along WAY better with Tali than Kelly for "Girl Talk" simply because Tali knows my Sheps better than anyone else female on that crew. Screw Miranda putting her back together and all that... Tali was WITH her on some of the most dangerous and mentally challenging things Shepard has had to do. None of my Sheps are renegade enough, in any way(unless I cheat and give myself renegade points... which I have done...) to be racist and almost all of them are big into the inter-species co-existence thing. I think every single Shep I have played has told TIM to shove it right where it counts because they're disgusted with him and his stance on things. So she responds far better to Tali, who she knows far better after all they go through, than to Kelly who learned it all from school and thinks she knows people just from observing them and psychoanalyzing them.



For the record, most of my Fem!Sheps invite Kelly to dinner but I always, ALWAYS, make sure it's just a friendly dinner. I don't care how they say the lines or what not, my Fem!Sheps aren't interested in her in THAT way. XD It's just a friendly dinner and not a date.



And she's still the prime suspect regarding the Scale Itch and why my Shepard feeds Urz herself. (Do I RP in my head that she takes Urz with her, regardless of what the actual game does? HELL YES.)

When Shepard is on the ship he ususally follows her around. If she's not or busy he sleeps in her cabin in a nice dog bed. I love to think how Garrus has to step carefully around him when he goes up to her cabin before the Suicide Mission. And after. If she's busy at the CIC, he's curled up under the consol or wandering around close to her. She's informed the crew to be careful of him. And I'm SURE Mordin has, too. "Powerful bite...":D

I don't think it was the dress.  I think it was the freakin' girl talk.
I get the feeling the devs read all of the comments about OMG PARTY MEMBERS NEED TO RECOGNIZE THE LOVE and gave it to Kasumi. XD
