What is a cuttlebone anyways? Those things you give to your parrot to chew on? Garrus may be bird-like, but he doesn't have a beak, so how why does Jacob refer to him like that?

In polish tranlation it sounded like - hardass or carpace-boy.

ok, so could anyone tell us what cuttlebone means in english exactly?
we don't have such a word in our language dictionaries.... :/
I only found that cuttle means squid - but I don't suppose that's adequate when it comes to Garrus O_o

EDIT: ok,few seconds late ;)
@ Brass Buckles - thanks for answer!

Thanks for clearing up the cuttlebone thing. I couldn't find it in a Dutch dictionary either :P

No problem. Again, it just seems like a really odd thing for Jacob to call Garrus, unless there's something more to that dialogue bit. I haven't gotten any jealousy dialogues in my playthrough, so maybe I'll try that out in another one and figure out what it is Jacob says exactly. Unfortunately I don't have any tools to capture a video of it.

I've only gotten it once, and it was with Garrus, so of course I chose him. ;) So no amusing dialogue there..

And maybe my cuttlebone.. he means the carapace?

I didn't expect so many (females?) to dismiss her as lesbian/male fanservice option. Bioware forums, I am kind of disappoint.

But she is.

That's not to say that others can't genuinely prefer her as a romance option, but she was pretty much put into the game for the guys rather than the girls.

I had trouble romancing her (female player, both male and female Shep games) because she just seems so childlike (not childISH) and innocent. I was always more interested in seeing if she was available for proofing my reports sent in to the Council and 5th Fleet, or if she could babysit for me next week, you know?

But hey. Garrus! Cuz, Garrus.

Oh man, did I LOL.

Garrus laying the smackdown on anyone is fun to watch. Garrus smacking down the "perfect woman" who's always all haughty and 'above' my FemShep? Absolute win. Posted Image

Note: 2nd. Chapter of Loose Ends is up if anyone's interested. :P

.....Did everyone just vanish into the FanFic void? >P I know it's easy to get lost amongst all of the Garrusness over there. =^_^=

So....how the heck are we gonna fill the time until ME3? It's been barely over a month and there's only so many times you can play through.... O_O

Is there a limit on the number of playthroughs? I don't think I would ever get bored with Mass Effect because there are so many options and different types of characters to play. :D And then there's Dragon Age... and all the other BioWare games I'll probably have trouble finding now because I don't have them already.

Well, I'm supposed to be writing DA:O fic. Shepard's louder at the moment than my DA:O character, it's distracting.

I vanished into costume making. Lots of stuff to do there.

And I'm sure BioWare will take good care of me with Star Wars: The Old Republic until ME3.

I'm currently trying to work on a fan comic detailing Garrus leaving C-Sec behind for Omega and am trying to come up with a good, believable reason as for why he'd do so without making him seem renegade. The reason behind that is because some people thought it was wildly out of character for a paragon influenced Garrus to go to Omega, but I personally didn't think so. I don't know. Maybe I was just so happy to see Garrus again that I didn't care why he was on Omega. I always thought that he left C-Sec and the Spectres behind because of the Council and the Alliance trying to discredit Shepard's warnings against the Reapers--so, out of frustration for their disrespect for his friend, he went to the one place that neither one of them had very much influence over--Omega. And all he was doing was killing mercs, something that a paragon Shepard did quite a bit in the first game. FFFT. Again, I don't know. Any insights on Garrus leaving C-Sec for Omega would be welcome! You know, with all of Garrus's issues with crime and taking down criminals no matter what, it makes me wonder if that somehow ties in with his mother. Maybe she was a criminal, or maybe she was murdered and the criminal got away.

Blame it on Harkin.  His reaction was stronger than the scene called for I think.

That's an interesting thought to consider, given that he never mentions his mother (or anything too personal regarding his life apart from his job/Archangel business for that matter). Seeing as how Garrus was frustrated with C-Sec's rules and regulations getting in the way of putting criminals away, I'd think the latter scenario (mother murdered and criminal got away) would be a likely story.
URG. Now I want to know about his mom. What have you done to me, Brass_Buckles?

I believe for Von it has something to do with that 'work' thing. We're also shifting some stuff around (it's a 7 bedroom house, and we're shifting stuff so I have a heated workspaces for casting latex instead of going out into the 27 F shed) so this week has seen me offline and not costuming as much as I'd like.

I think I have working prototype gloves for the hands, and a successful foot stilt. I've got the mandibles prototypes done, but want to be confident with the motion device (made of rubber bands and ink pen springs actually) before I sculpt and then mold/cast the rest of the head piece.

A friend is in the 501st and I'm going to conscript ask him for help with armors, though my own costume will likely be cloth-heavy.

My cell phone camera suxx0rz, so I'm trying to remember where I packed my good digital camera so I can post decent images. I might just say to heck with it and pick up an iPod nano.
