This article seems to imply they're getting someone other than BK to play Garrus in the ME movie: http://gamerant.com/...ilm-benk-15653/.

DISPLEASED. If the game VAs don't have at least some kind of role in the movie, I won't watch it.

Duh, that article is from april 1st.

I don't care who's in the movie, I will see it anyway. Kudos to the directors if they cast BK, with BK in it at least we'll be sure the movie has good audio. :P

I'm not going to watch it. I know they are going to ruin the movie, but maybe only the parts with garrus in it would be worth watching.

It tends to barf up some things at the weirdest times, with most things being completely up to the minute and current.  I'll never understand it.

Okay, time for another random Brass Buckles thought!

So we all wondered how Kasumi knew that Garrus "really likes" Femshep. For that matter how did the crew know, if Garrus were at all trying to hide it?

You know, typing this out explanation-style just doesn't really express it right, so, time for a quick little mini-fic/skit.

(End of the second conversation...)
Garrus> Right. 'Cause I'm in a great place to optimize firing algorithms.
Shepard exits the room.
Garrus> ... Wow. She really wants to... I need a cold shower. Now.
Garrus exits the room.
Crewman> Hey, Officer Vakarian. Taking a break?
Garrus> Er... yeah. It was getting a little stifling in there.
Garrus heads toward the men's room after gathering together a towel and washcloth.
Second Crewman (in the hallway)> Officer Vakarian, off to the showers a little early, aren't you?
Garrus> Yeah, it got really hot in the main battery.
Second Crewman> Well, if I can offer some personal input, sir, I think you're working too hard. Are all turians like that? I mean, you're young. You should go out, find a nice girl and...
Garrus nearly drops the towel.
Garrus> Your opinion is noted, crewman.
Garrus rushes into the men's room without saying another word to the Second Crewman.

(Several days/weeks pass.)
Kasumi spies on the crewmen in the mess hall under cloaking.
First Crewman> Oh geeze, did you see Vakarian today?
Second Crewman> Yeah, on his way to the showers again.
First Crewman> Yeah, every time the Commander has one of her chats with him.
Second Crewman> Never would've guessed a turian would get the hots for the Commander.
First Crewman> Well, can you blame him? I'd be off to the showers, too, if she spent that much time chatting with me.
Second Crewman> Oh come on, man, that's just twisted, even if it is Commander Shepard. But Vakarian's always off to himself. He could use some good old-fashioned romance, or hell, even a one-night fling to loosen him up. I don't know if Shepard would be into that kind of thing. You know, turians. I dunno about you, but I'd be cool with it if she wanted him.
First Crewman> Hm... yeah, I can kinda see it. I heard Yeoman Chambers say she thought they'd make a cute couple. I don't think I'd go that far, but she trusts him and he respects her. It could work if they could get around the allergy issue, and, well, if turian biology is anything at all like human biology. After all that talk about what happened with Commander Alenko on Horizon... Well, the Commander could use somebody who'd stand by her, even only for a little while. Hey, man, are you gonna eat that? Gardner's food's been great lately and I'm not gonna take it for granted.
Kasumi wanders away.

So yeah.  If you didn't bother reading that/didn't get it: frequent cold showers tipped the crew off.  I happened to remember Septimus mentioning cold showers in ME1.  Then I remembered Garrus's line about being "in a great place to optimize firing algorithms right now."  The inference here (on my part) is that he's been seriously turned on by Shepard during their second romance conversation, because, wow, she really wants to have sex with him.  And she's even wanting to make dirty jokes with him.  And she touched him!  Just on the arm but still... (Or maybe someone just caught him looking at human/turian porn while he was supposed to be working.  Who knows?)

(And I hope nobody other than Keener ever plays Garrus in either the movie or ME3, because his voice pretty much is Garrus at this point.)

It actually looks like an adaptation of a Tali picture, in fact. There's a bit of her hood in the back, the generally more slender build - not that Turians are exactly beefy, and we've no canon female, but it has the same 'flow' as Tali fanart. Might be unavoidable at this state; the dextro species seem to share slim build and three digits for whatever reason.

She doesn't seem to have the little third toe, though...

Casual clothes during scene:

I like blue. I like green. I don't like the two together in front of the freakin' aquarium.

It makes him almost into a floating head.

No likey.

Otherwise, the color combo isn't too bad. And I like the turian style of clothing (plus the control panel. It's in my head cannon, those little bars on their left breast are the control panel. You press some buttons, VIOLA, cloths come off. The seams are like, electromagnetic er something... /sagenod)

BB's ficlet explanation: I can see it. XD

/thinks about Garrus taking a shower.

x.x /drooooooools

ME movie:

If Keener is in it, I'm watching it. Even if it's a Shepard story. I will watch it, because he's in it.

If it's a Shepard story, and Garrus is being voiced BY SOMEONE ELSE? Not watching it.

If it's not Shepard's story, Garrus wouldn't be in it anyway, and watching it will happen.

Mornin' Everyone!

I hope that Brandon Keener gets casted as Garrus. If it's not Shepard's story, I would LOVE to see BK do a role as a turian in ME like that refund turian xD

Yaay, someone is going to be awake to talk to me! XD

I would support a ME movie ONLY if:

1. there was NO ONE from the games in it (i.e., it was set in a different time period/AU-type thingy)

2. the CGI and effects were excellent and convincing

3. BK was in it as SOMEONE (or several someones!!!)

I know it's in my dreams, my a FemShep ME movie would be good. FemShep is so badass, and it would be interesting film.

But alas, the default is the male Sheploo. Boo...

Does anyone want the ME film to be in 3-D? Personally, I don't since 3-D costs a LOT of money to go see in the cinemas.

Morning fabulous Garrus thread peoples! I bring quality coffee to this conversation (oh and its strong too)
Alexine I think your fab pictures were a hit!
As for the movie - I am (was - Posted Image) a huge fan of LOST and well I can understand why people think Matthew Fox might be a good fit.

They definitely need a good VA for Garrus - and of course we all know BK is a good fit.

Eh, personally IMHO I don't think 3D does a lot for a film in most cases...it's way overused. I have, however, found myself wishing they'd re-release all the Star Wars films in 3D IMAX, so...I guess it'd be cool!:D
And yes Alexine, FemShep >>> MaleShep...Garrus Romance or not! XD (she's so cool when she's kicking assorted ass)

eta:  GM Buggirl...yaay,  another conversationalist that doesn't clash with my time zone! :P

1 & 3 for me. If my favorite characters get decent screentime (of course, Garrus would have to have Keener's voice to do him justice), I might take a look at most. I don't expect much though since video game movies don't have the best track record.

3D is in. Honestly, it's a waste of money and that money could be used to make the film even better. Even video games will be in 3-D, but I don't understand the hype about it. All it is is making the graphics pop up like cardboard cut-outs, which is not impressive...

Sadly, if they ever do a FemShep, they'll probably oversexualise her like every Hollywood heroine that comes in...

But...

Ugh, that is generally a well-deserved reputation, Collider. Although I would have a hard time staying away from any Garrus-related movie stuff...as much as I would have to take stomach medicine afterwards. :P

3D is overrated. And if your like one of my friends she hates them they give her migraines. A big screen is good enough for me - so until they can give you a "Better than Life" experience (the VR game from the series Red Dwarf) I'm happy with the status quo.

I'm with you Collider, the movie could be bad given Hollywoods previous atrocities.

My friend can't watch 3D movies either for that same reason, Buggirl.
