DAO: My mage flirted with her party members, and Teagan. Didn't realize you could flirt with Duncan, she probably would have XD

Being turned down wouldn't have hurt much. After playing a satyr blooded Fianna for almost 8 years, that stuff doesn't phase me no more.

Garrus! Hrm... *it's hard to think... it's so freakin' HOT today T.T*
Does anyone know what ever happened to the talk of a romance DLC? Oo
And really... of all the squaddies you nab, Liara and Garrus are probably the only two I can think of getting their own DLC (as mission filler type stuff.)
You think the Leliana is the precursor to Liara's? (man, I hope we get to save Feron in ME3... that'd be awesome...)

I think there is a strong chance that the bridging the gap DLC will be the Liara DLC.  Which makes me wonder.  Is this a stand-alone Liara adventure like the Leliana thing or will we actually get to control Shepard.  If Liara gets content with Shepard at expense of other ME1 LIs there will be many hissy fits.  I wouldn't care myself as I didn't have any of those guys as LIs, but I can see some ticked off Kaidan/Ash fans there.  I hope there is more than just the Liara DLC though I think that will be interesting enough.  More DLC is always good.

Steph's a little flirty... when it comes to turians.

Otherwise, she can't be bothered.

Elle's got way to much damage to think flirty atm. She's still reeling with her addiction/Kaiden rejection/Mordin's drell revelations (I am putting this engineer through head cannon HELL.... totally awesome)

Being flirty though while pursuing someone? Eeeeh, that's stretching it for me. Shepard's also a bit tougher to work with than the blank slates the DAO characters tend to be.

I have to admit, I might break my own rules for turians. I have a double standard like that.  But really, what's with the Lorik thing?  I never got it.  Nihlus I get.  But Lorik?  Isn't he the turian equivalent of a middle-aged dude?  The somebody's SUV driving dad type with a kushy middle-management job?  That's how I took it anyway.

Bann Teagan is such a handsome man. I was sad when he wasn't a real romance :(. When I was playing the Darkspawn Chronicles DLC, I only felt bad when I had to kill him and Sten.

Jacob will say that women always go for drell eyes when you dump him for Thane.

Yea, I liked Teagan too. I also sort of liked that dwarf guy in the dwarf noble origin if you play as a female. A dwarf. Who'd have ever thunk it?

@Ragabum you've got the best conversation between Ash and Shep in your sig! I'm sure Shep will think a lot about what she said back then XD

He may be middle aged... but as someone who's never gotten over how hot Jeff Goldblum, Jeremy Irons, or Mark Harmon is....

Yea.  Age doesn't matter. ^.^
Lorik's pretty funny.  And he wants to have a drink ^.^
Besides, unlike  lot of turians out there, he at least TRIES to get human expressions or idioms.  Heh.

It was the voice.  He got me, too.

Still doesn't compare to Garrus', though. ;)

Yea, Ash has a strong prophetic streak in her.  If she only knew.   And my Shep was even then realizing she had a weird thing for turians so her mental reaction to that statement was somewhere between a chuckle and a "oh ****, what's wrong with me?"  I wonder what Ash might have to say in ME3.

I also don't like Lorik's paintjob that much so that doesn't help.  Some middle-aged types are attractive.  I'm not discounting them as a whole.  Heck, Thane technically fits in that category.  Oh well, I do like Lorik.  He is funny and I'd definitely drink a few rounds with him.  Just not flirt with him.

I liked Teagan too. More than the actual romances in DA, actually...

Anyway, I just thought Lorik was the best example because he actually does ask Shepard to have a drink with him. It sounded like it could have easily gone to flirting, if they wanted it to. I don't really care about the age gaps in the Mass Effect universe, even though turians are supposed to age about the same as humans... I've started to be able to tell older turians from younger ones, but they still don't look "old" to me.

Besides, if one of my MaleSheps gets to romance a 106 year old asari who's still way more innocent than he is, my MainShep should be able to have a crush on Saren who's only about 15 years older than her. xD

BTW, what do you think a Turian would SMELL like?

I wish I hadnt killed Ash to try to romance Kaidan who misteriously stopped liking My Shep(maybe because somethibg weir happened when I went ro Virmire BEFORE going to Noveria. Oh well, at least I had the cute Liara who's now a b*tch). Ash and Shep could have had a great talk on ME3 XD

I'd be inclined to say they are odorless sort of like lizards and snakes. (If your pet lizard or snake smells you probably need to clean out the cage...but on their own they don't really smell like much of anything.) However, Sidonis references that turians do indeed sweat so when you factor that in I have absolutely no idea. I think they would smell...feral. Is that possible? Probably kind of animalistic to us but maybe not in a bad way. By the way, this definitely gets odd question of the day award. Oh well, we've discussed way weirder things than this here.

Oh I defintely get the Saren appeal.  I oogle that statue of him in the Kasumi DLC every time.  With him though, it's that his physiology is so darn cool looking.  You actually see the talons and the ears and whatnot.  It's cool looking.  Lorik I don't find physically appealing.  Maybe that's it.

Turians and what they smell like. Hrm. I would think because of their dextro nature... it means they taste sweet to us levos... so maybe they smell a tad on the sweet side too?

Not sure. Though the fact that they have plates and skin... like leather? I dunno. I need to ponder this some morez.

And yet, ironically enough, Thane's eyes are the foremost feature of his that creeps me out. His neck would be n°2.

Middle-aged is definitely not a problem (Thane is 37, I believe), but I still wouldn't go for Lorik. He's funny in a very gentlemanly way, but that's it.

As for how a turian would smell...Hmm. Well, since there's a possibility that they taste sweet, I'd imagine that they'd have a faintly sweet smell as well.

Edit: Lol, steph ninja'd me Posted Image Why leather though? Their exoskeleton is metallic, so if you're going that route, they should smell vaguely metallic as well. I prefer sweet though ^^;

Hmmm, maybe like metal and leather.  I remember some fic saying something like that.  That makes sense.

Hehehehe Posted Image

The thing with the leathery smell is that leather smells the way it does because of the chemicals used to process it. A live goat or deer or sheep doesn't smell of leather. So there's not really any logic behind a turian smelling of leather. Metal, however, yes.

Definitely not a feral smell though. That would be...disturbing.

For the record, I wouldn't make characters who are already in a romance flirt with other people. That's cheating! xD I mean, my MainShep had no romance in ME1, so she could have flirted with Lorik.

Ah, Mr quinn Posted Image my other favorite turian. I really loved his character and his sense of humor, it would be great if he made appearence in ME3...REALLY great... *cough*. Anywhoodle, I really think there should be more opportunities for femshep to flirt with male npcs, maleshep gets all the girls ^_^ Well ok femshep CAN get kelly, some asari...but I'm not into that and so maybe a man could show interest? Straight women need some attention too ya know Posted Image Femshep feels down, she strutted about in her lil black dress all through the citidel and not one single guy said anything...she's going to go eat some space ice cream now...

Nilf, I know it's chemically treated... but by what kind of chemicals? It could be natural body chemistry... then again, I was hesitant with the leather only because I'm not sure if it's hide or skin that covers them... and even then, not even sure what's the difference /flail.

Feral might not be too far off the mark. But then again, feral to humans... they're a predatory race. We're omnivores. /shrug. It makes sense. Do we know if turians eat plants? Or they strict carnivores?

Heh, I'd like it but I am weird like that.  Turians seem very predatory to me.  Almost dangerous.  My favorite things about turians are their digitigrade stance and their claws and the stare-you-down eagle eyes.  And the flanging voices of course.  Anyway, I don't mean something nasty by feral.  Not like a dog or something.  I don't quite know what I mean.  Can you make a smell that is somehow wild or dangerous smelling?  Probably not, but that is what I mean.

Given turian teeth and claws and them having gizzards (great for grinding up bones) I'm gonna go with carnivorous.  Moreoever I think they swallow their food darn near whole.

The wait... is horrendous.
I need more story to fill my day. : /
So I'll just finish up some more loyalty missions on my Engi.
BK continues to be awesome. xD
And I think my brain is in a bit of a Garrus shock, so I'm going to let it stew.
Oh and I think I need to calm down. tried playing System Shock 2 (husband loves it, and it sounds fun) but I was getting too damn frustrated with it.
On the one hand, immersion games are pretty cool.
On the other hand, I hate immersion that makes you AFRAID TO FREAKIN' DIE.
: / The hub doesn't get it. He's all like "but you respawn!" and I'm like THAT'S NOT THE POINT. -.-

I'd absolutely love to play it.  I just could never get it to run. :(
And I can't play "Dead Space".  There's a difference between "scary game with immersion" (I heard SS2 is terrifying, BTW) and "can't open my eyes long enough to see the screen"!

I remember from the first time I ever heard that conversation, I was touched because when he said "I'm sorry", it sounded very sincere and like he really felt bad for her.
