I think they took "Garrus" from "garrison" to fit the whole Latin/Roman vibe thing. Interestingly, I looked up a close real-life actual name, "Garrett", on Google under baby names and it means "strength of the spear". Cool!

I think that fits nicely. There are quite a bit of similiarities between Turian and Roman culture. Even in the names - Septimus for example sounds very "latin."

I also heard somewhere that the word "turian" was derived from the word "centurion". Not sure where I heard that.

I did Legion's LM... that's it.

I got Legion/IFF, did Overlord and Tali's LM (Lulzy!), crew gets stolen, do Legion's LM aaaaaaaaaaaaand half the crew, dead. Wtf? Oo

Donnelly must be heartbroken. Poor guy.

Its mentioned in the WIKI on Turians kg.

As for Garrus head - it would look on lots of people.  mmmm that gives me an idea I've got an idea for a muck up shot - will be back shortly!

Overlord counts as a mission.
You could do it this way:
1. Get IFF
2. ??? Do Tali's loyalty mission (or any mission)
3. Profit! Do Legion's loyalty mission
4. Crew gets stolen
5. Do Suicide Mission

After the crew gets stolen, if you touch down on a planet:
1st time: Half the crew gets killed
2nd time: Everyone but Chakwas gets killed

It's not my main RT anyway, so I can handle not everyone coming out alive.

Yeah, that's kinda what happened to me...Gabby et al got killed, but I kept every one of the main crew alive.  However, that's my RT where I romanced someone in ME1.  My "keeper" is going to be the celibate Shep in ME1 for Garrus romance in ME2.  THAT one is going to work out more or less perfectly, I'll see to that.

That is a kick in the quads Steph  
I am fortunate that I am doing my canon now and aren't quite to the end run stage - still have to get Legion/LM/IFF but I would be really peeved if that was me. It was bad enough having to go back through 4hrs of play just to save Jack in my last RT. If it happened on my canon you'd hear me swear from there...and probably see keyboard fly past your window:devil:

Well, if like what happened to me, you just assigned the wrong people to tasks during the SM, you could just replay the end of the game, takes 30-40 minutes and quite fun IMO, not too bad, you could salvage everything (it's what I did)

Very true. The last runthrough of the suicide mission, I felt like going through it again.



Especially after the lackluster performance of Jacob as team leader (that I did for science). Garrus really shines as team leader. Not to mention that he actually displays leadership skills before the suicide mission. I was surprised that Jacob was one of the three good team leaders because we're given literally no indication before hand that he has led and can lead.



Random note: It's kind of weird that not all of the squad mates show up at the epilogue on tne Normandy. I mean the scene where joker gives Shepard the Reaper datapad. I got to see Garrus at least, so good enough
