Well firs twas the quarian pic, they recruited Dinosours to help take back there homeworld. Then some one made that Second pic with Seran on a T-Rex leading his Geth/reaper army to fight them. Notice how the Quarians use the plant eaters and Seran uses the meat eaters. :)

Dinosaurs with lasers! Such a winning concept. Such a totaly awesome concept. Of course Garrus would beat Saren with fabulous dinosaurs with lasers.

Its funny because turians look like dine-oh-sars, so a dine-oh-sar is riding another dine-oh-sar.

Sigh, such a shame those two don't really get along from ME1. It's not like either of them is likely to be leaving the SR-2.

My Main shep first play throught I did absolutely everythign possible, (Explored the whole galaxy for missions, got all upgrades, did everyones LM Aside from Legion didn't do the IFF until every last thing is done.) Hit the IFF got Legion talked to Legion he gave the LM right away, did it crew obducted, then hit the Omega-4 rely right away. Did the obvious choices and everyone lived first try. :D

I did the same thing. I read all the spoilers though... but doing Legion's loyalty mission before the crew got taken by Collectors was complete luck. I thought I could do one mission after that without losing anyone. Luckily, I had no missions left at that point.

And that picture of Saren riding a dinosaur with lasers is awesome. :D

You know, I like Tali quite a bit as a character - running into her as a squad leader was a great moment - but the only things I know about the Tali thread are:

1. I've seen some creepy fetish art leak out.

2. People not regularly involved find it insular and cliquish.

3. It's eight thousand pages long. There's nothing left to say.

Well Cristmas Ape... There are creepy stuff about all the Mass Effect aliens out there on the big scary internet.

Congratulations on 8k pages Tali fans. That is a great picture of two attractive aliens.

Yeah. Granted. I try not to seek it out. Even the related Clan V thread is tasteful and veers into no fetish weirder than "turians" - I mostly go there for the 'mechanics'.

Well I must admit that some of the more tastefull weirdness in small doses can be entertaining (or at least informative).

I've most likely gone to the thread more often than you, Christmas Ape - it's not nearly as bad as people make out. It was basically just a couple people (who even claimed to take pleasure in annoying people) who was posting weird pictures. You may also have mistaken several of the trolls that unfortunately frequent the thread as actually being fans.

It's true that a few fans seem to swoon a little too much about the character, but yea, those are in the minority. Just wanted to clear that up.

--

So yea, Garrus. I was in my group and I thought of something interesting. We were talking about possible other confrontations. In particular, the idea somehow spawned in my head of a Thane & Garrus argument or confrontation - over who was more justified in their killings and about responsibility for their actions. Do you think this could ever happen? Do you think that Garrus would agree with Thane's philosophy regarding being the gun, but not the true killer (hired by Hanar) or the separation between soul and body?

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone!

Just in case you haven't been following the Clan V group - there is currently a poll on whether or not to create a new Garrus thread.

A while back we discussed creating a new OP when we reached 1,000. That way we could get rid of the defunct OP with all it's broken links and have one that actually updates.

I got the go-ahead from Eradyn (since I didn't want to take over without her permission), so do we still want to do this? It means we won't have a large page number anymore, but it also means people don't have to be directed to my blog in order to get the updated OP.

So basically, larger page number VS updating OP.

What do you think?

The poll closes this weekend, and the vote is currently tied!

EDIT:

Personally, I don't think Garrus and Thane are likely to have a confrontation. Thane just seems too calm to get into such an argument, and Garrus seems to respect Thane's skills, if maybe not his proffession (does he comment on Thane being an assassin at all?)

I don't have a problem with a new thread. Just need to contact Stanley Woo and Chris Priestly and tell them that the OP is absent and that peeps want a new thread up.

Hmmmm. I'll be honest, it doesn't strike me as something Garrus would go for. Turian culture is big on personal responsibility - they make mention that while they will try to get away with it, if directly questioned turian murderers usually admit to their crime because they did it. Thane's mysticism would, I imagine, strike him as just a new version of the same thing he's heard on Omega a thousand times - "It's not my fault I did that, the gang made me/it was the drugs/I was desperate". So this one's got more flowery language than the punks and mercs he put down before, it's still abdicating personal responsibility - a concept dear enough to turians that Garrus was ready to die (though selling his life dearly) for "failing" his team.

EDIT: I'm not particularly interested in a pissing contest with the other fanbases about the length of our thread, so why not tidy up the OP after the 1K benchmark? :D

I think Garrus is impressed by Thane's skill and professionalism during his recruitment (can't remember which lines) so I don't think a confrontation would work with Garrus/Thane.

Really good points here. Seems like Garrus respects Thane but not necessarily Thane's philosophy. As you said, Turians are very much about duty and honor, and responsbility. So much so that the Turians have honor suicide.

I recently learn't what the term "rule 34" means after I failed to listen to the advice of "don't ever ever type into the interwebs 'Tali and Mass Effect 2 images' and leave safe search off......." I couldnt resist - it was like giving an arsonists a box of matches and standing them next a gigantic straw bale......
