Unfortunately, it's same for Garrus Buggirl - but I didn't even have safesearch off.
Well the first time I googled Garrus at work (looking for an image for my work desktop) a very interesting picture came up - but I thought it was a once off. I remember being mortified at the time as I share an office with my boss (and he's played ME so he knows who Garrus is!) - but luckily our desks are back to back and his head was down working at the time!

I had that once... I learnt that lesson that day to search with strict filters.
But the Tali one is worse. Did that once and regretted it. Even my browser froze when I did that... D:

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone!
Just in case you haven't been following the Clan V group - there is currently a poll on whether or not to create a new Garrus thread.
A while back we discussed creating a new OP when we reached 1,000. That way we could get rid of the defunct OP with all it's broken links and have one that actually updates.
I got the go-ahead from Eradyn (since I didn't want to take over without her permission), so do we still want to do this? It means we won't have a large page number anymore, but it also means people don't have to be directed to my blog in order to get the updated OP.
So basically, larger page number VS updating OP.
What do you think?
The poll closes this weekend, and the vote is currently tied!
Voted! Would love to see a good maintainer of the OP again.

Ok - Thread: I voted, I say sure! Get something that's got an active OP to maintain the new thread, I'm all for it. It's one of my pipe dreams to comb through the threads one day and post links up to certain tidbits of conversation we're prone to have. But that's a project and a half... (my librarian WILL NOT SHUT UP. XD I also still need to clean up the Tattoo post... /flails)
Garrus/Thane confrontation: Ape has nailed it pretty well. While I don't think the two of them could go out of their way to have a fight (def not Thane) I don't think Garrus would put up with what he'd see as a BS excuse on Thane's part. We're not given much on whether or not Garrus is much of a spiritual man though, and Thane clearly is. It could be that sort of disagreement as well.
This is something I'm going to ponder some more. But suffice to say, Garrus I don't think would go out of his way to cause a ruckus either. I'll work on the reasons why BFFs is probably out...
Art: Awwwww, Garrus's face looks so cute. XD

There might be some thruth to that. But I think I am far from alone to have such ideas around here if you know what I'm saying....

Talithread is really not that bad. I was afraid at first of what to find there, but when I checked it out it wasn't that bad. We can get creepy as hell too. It just depends on what you're into.
I pretty much only go there late at night, when all the 15 year olds have gone to bed. There's actually good discussions there at that hour, usually. Tali was my favorite character in ME1, but got usurped by Garrus in ME2 thanks to a combination of her massive character derailment and Garrus suddenly becoming even more badass (as though that were possible).

We've accepted that it just comes with us being so popular and big. Every thread has it's fringe element. Also AS for Rule 34 every character has that. So that doesn't make Tali exceptional. I suggest you take a visit before making up our minds is all.

here's Garrus with a Widow to help get this post on topic!

I've hear that the Kaiden thread frequently posts pretty borderline images of him and they don't get any flak? Anyway, Lots of the tali thread bad press is by Haters, not of Tali but of Talimancers in particular, spreading misinformation or people that don't know any better finding paticular people Identified as Talimancers to be offensive when even the people in the same thread find them offensive too.

Hey now.... we have plenty more than "borderline" images.
I love Tali, though. Trying to talk my husband into dumping Ash for her.

Also, turian honour suicide? Like hara-kiri? Was that mentioned in a Cerberus newsflash?
Concerning Garrus vs Thane, I pretty much agree with what's been said so far. Garrus definitely respects Thane's marksmanship skills, but I think that's as far as it goes. He definitely wouldn't agree with his philosophy, even if I don't see them getting into a fight over it. They'd just keep a respectful distance between each other.
And about the new thread, sure, why not? Big post numbers are overrated anyway.

oh I'm sure you do! It's just a matter of ignoring what you don't want to find the stuff you do. Also While I did love Ashley in Me 1 (Main shep LI) I had no problem dumping her after wha tshe said to me on Horrizon! I suggest Taking Garrus and Tali along for that one She has additional Dialog for them. plus Tali or Garrus can tell her she's too emotional and has to look at facts or somesuch.

Xbox. No modding for Tali to come.
He already took Garrus everywhere. On his renegade game, he dumped Ash for Miranda, though.

Miranda is overrated, Kasumi is much hotter.

@ Collider: Septimus actually means "seventh" in Latin, so it's not just Latin-sounding.

I don't know. I think Garrus would definitely approve of Thane taking out people like those batarian slavers and Nassana Dantius on his own volition. I don't he'd agree with his religious ideas, but his morals I think he might agree with. Thane is just very cool and doesn't initiate friendship. Shep makes it sound like he does nothing but sit in that room all day and the only reason he befriends her is because she is persistant and keeps coming by to talk to him. I think that coolness would be more of a hurdle to any friendship than ideology differences.
Speaking of religion where do you think Garrus stands in that department? Does he believe in that standard turian thing about "spirits" or something else. Personally, I think he either doesn't think much about it one way or the other or I make him for a Rorshach style atheist minus a lot of the crazy. Someone who says we make our own morality so he strives to enforce one that is pretty moral absolutist. Not because some god says that's how it should be, but because he thinks that's how it should be. Those guys fascinate me. Conservative atheists types. They are rare but do exist and they are fun to dissect.

Wanted to add that Garrus is having a coming-of-age phase in ME1, where Shepard has the opportunity to heavily influence him. But I think that some core elements of his personality, like that sense of justice, are unshakeable.
