It's nice when the squadmates protect Shepard/Warden. :) It totally fits Garrus' personality too.

Yeah but Garrus doesn't take bullets for Shepard even if he could survive it. Sniping is more his style. The Urdnots, Dog, Shale, etc on the other hand can definitely play the role of a bulletsponge with style.

I think if it really came down to it, he would.

Garrus...

I'm still a Mountain Dew virgin. :(

But my wee bro graduated from uni today (he has the smarts), so I'm doing happy hour with champagne! Garrus would approve. ^_^

Comic with Garrus and femShep! I'm not going to show the pic itself, because I doubt it will be readable when the forum resizes it.

D'awww. Also, lol.

Garrus would TOTALLY take bullets for Shep. And other squaddies esides. In fact, while his defense score for HTL is one of the highest, he actually has an early order disloyal death for that point, supposedly because while other 'squishier' teammates might be more prone to bullet-damage, Garrus would be more likely to take one for the team than most.

Well like Shepard, we all know that he'd sacrifice himself to obtain mission success. It's the makes of any good commanding officer.

I like the salarian screencaps. Salarians are so varied and interesting looking. I really liked Chorban's coloring from ME1- that nice deep chocolate brown with the flecked eyes. But Kirrahe was neat looking too.

After reading these forums for a while and seeing all of the various fanart that is on the web I decided to make something of my own. :)
I made a Garrus plushie a few weeks ago and I thought that I would post him here.

Here's a link to it on deviant art . http://gothicessence...ushie-168890256

@kglaser No! But I'm gonna read it NOW!

It might be nice when Garrus (and the whole squad) protect Shep, but it's better when we play "Snipe that one!". He always pisses me when he kills the target first (but he's a good turian and lets Shep shoot first. -wow, my phone's dictionary just corrected "turian"-), espeially when I've got it targeted and I'm about to shoot, but... Garrus is amazing anyway.

you need a new phone...phone that doesn't recognize the word "turian" is sub-standard. :P

eta:  That plushie looks good enough to be sold in a store.  Seriously!  Great job :wizard:

Morning all!

Gothicessence that is truly an amazing effort!! Garrus plushie FTW!! Maybe I should get my sewing machine out!!

I was listening to the radio this morning and they were talking about "Mentally sexy" men, ie rather than finding a man just physically sexy they were talking about the other things that make you attracted to someone (more specifically they were talking about how men are more sexy to their wives/partners) for you gals (and some guys) I was thinking about this in relation to Garrus (as someone as obsessed as myself would be thinking). I've certainly been fascinated by Garrus as an Alien, but I have to admit my physical attraction to him is based on some of his more human like features (his arms, his height, his eyes, his voice). Mentally though - what attracts me is his character, and part of this is due to how I play the game - ie how you interact with him (he obvious care and respect for you, what he will do for you, to stand beside you) What is it that is "Mentally sexy" about Garrus to you?

I love his intensity. He might have a wry sense of humor about things and joke around with people, but I think that's kind of a way of dealing with awkward situations or perhaps a defense mechanisms. Underneath it, he's an intense guy. I find that attractive.

I'm not a woman, but allow me to speculate as to why some women may like Garrus, in part:

Garrus is a renegade. And a badass. Which is important.

For good reason. He's the bane of all criminals, and a fighter of injustice and corruption. His very name struck hate and despair among the most prolific and dangerous crime bosses on Omega and their once fearless minions.

And he's good at what he does. Very good. So much so that he got the attention of every major mercenary group on Omega. He pissed them off so bad that they put aside their differences to help take him down. That is big.

He's the hero of Omega and was quite possibly the only hope left for the dark nexus of the galaxy.

So, this guy. He oozes cool, he has a rough, dark, and mysterious edge to him but he is definitely "one of the good guys." So who does this guy of this caliber respect and would take a bullet for? You - Shepard. And he'll follow you into hell and back. And even though he may initially disagree with you sometimes, he'll take the time to listen and consider your words. He cares and respects Shepard so much that he'll even take those words to heart, and change for the better.

He also has a great, ironic and sarcastic sense of humor. Even while they ride through hell and face a seemingly unbeatable enemy, Garrus will make Shepard laugh and make her feel better.

Anyways, just my two cents and another entry in the "wall of text" archive that silentstephi has to deal with  :P

Intense and passionate. It's like a slow boil that can quickly flash fire.
Plus, his attitude, snark and general demeanor reminds me A LOT of my hub.
Though I do think my hub's a bit more... calculating. Garrus is crafty, but sometimes may not have everything thought out.

I've taken a bit of a mini break to draw before I tackle the next 100 pages. XD  I've started figuring out a skimming pattern, but I might not post the update to the archieve until I'm finished.  I plan on remaking the thread in the Clan V section, but the Googledoc will still have a link to it.  (And I'll update it XD)

Well, even though you're a man, I think your wall of text entry is pretty much spot-on.

Are you sure you're male? ;)

edit: This was directed at Collider, of course :P

I have to say in addition, I get really heated up about un just things (or my perception of injustices) I often find myself yelling at the radio or TV as a consequence (which creates much mirth in our house) but I see Garrus as very similar to me in that respect, bashing his fist against the wrongs of the universe.

Yeah, and I don't see that diminishing over time, either. He'll be equally passionate about it 60 years down the road.
