On the topic of turian condoms, I agree that since pregnancy from turian/human intercourse isn't possible (different DNAs), I'd think they'd be necessary to minimize the risk of allergy. Then again, considering how upgraded Shep is, they might actually be redundant in her case.

And yes, if the peeing turian in the Dark Star is anything to go by, turians definitely seem to have the anatomical prereqs for wearing condoms, lol. 

@ Mentatzoee: Concerning the chafing, I don't think turian plates would extend to that part of their anatomy. They developed the plating to protect themselves from harmful radiation, but since they probably don't expose those particular parts of their body to radiation very often, I don't see why it would be necessary to have that kind of protection down there. On top of that, it would make intercourse kind of impractical, even with their own species: less flexibility.

Yeah, I thought condoms were there for the chafing, not plates. I'm not sure where would their plates or how thick would them be in these areas. I go for the innie theory for the radiation issues though. Having "these" exposed would end up in actually having them plated.

What I meant is that, if those bits are soft (ie. not covered by plates), then you don't need condoms to protect from chafing. You'd need moisturizing cream or oil on the rest of your body to minimize chafing from contact with the rest of their body though.

I guess I can't really imagine how intercourse would work if those bits were covered in any hard protective layer...

The confusion only gets worse when Shepard mentions 'protection' and Garrus simply points at his sniper rifle.



Also I finished Overlord last weekend...I was bummed by the lack of new Garrus dialogue, but not really surprised. I LOVED the scene where Shepard is on her own and the door shut behind her and Garrus rushes to the door.

Oh, I thought chafing would happen because of the allergic reaction, rather than to the contact to the plates!
