Slightly off topic... but did anyone else notice Tali's thread got stickied? Oo

Bu-bubut... Garrus love?:crying:  Where is our sticky turian squish?
(Warning: This may not make any sense... I am currently fighting the plague.)

I see that now.  That's just infuriating.

Well.. this thread doesn't have 500 pages of character stuff and 1500 pages of spam. I still love this thread more <3.

Lies! I just want more turian love! ^.^

In any fashion really. I wonder sometimes if Keener realizes that it's partially his fault that Garrus is so awesome...

Every time I hear and see Keener... my brain does a juxtaposition... It can get really awkward

That would be flattering to an actor, I think.  Even more so in this instance.  Garrus is popular because of his voice and acting, not the actor's looks or anything.  Kinda like James Marsters' Spike in BTVS.

... They stickied the Tali thread? Doesn't that seem kind of redundant since that particular thread rarely leaves the confines of the first page in the first place? It's not like it's a topic that's doomed to drift out of sight if left to it's own devices.

Silentstephi- I'm sure he has some inkling that his voice acting work for Garrus has helped to contribute to his sizable fanbase. xD

....that was my understanding of the purpose for a sticky.  I'm a little annoyed, here.  <_<  It's not like I want this thread stickied or anything.  I don't think it needs to be.  It's a character thread.  It gets posts every few hours, at the most.  The Tali thread gets posts every few minutes.  Stickying one character thread and not another seems silly.  Especially since we have AM50's nice convenient character thread database thing already stickied.

ANYWAY, on the topic of armors, I repeat, ME1-style: DO NOT WANT.  I got hours of my life back from not constantly upgrading and searching desperately for armors that I liked in ME2.

I liked almost every single character outfit in ME2 (JACK, I'm looking at you...loyalty was OK though.  That's why I always do her loyalty mission first: List of priorities, 1) Get Jack a shirt, 2) Save Galaxy)....I just wish they'd had another combat outfit, if we really neeeeeed Miranda in a jumpsuit. (Apparently we do.  I can accept this.)  Like Liara in ME1, or Shepard even: she could wear armor in the field but on the ship she can wear her skeezy skintight outfit! Everybody wins! Including Miranda! (And Engineer Donnelly!)

However, I wouldn't mind customizing their armors/lack thereof  visually, like we do with shepard.  The level of customization would probably have to be less of course, so I wouldn't mind just cycling between a few standard armors...aaaaaaand I just now realized I'm describing the loyalty armor system. OK.

SO.  I guess I'm happy with the level of customization in ME2, then. /sheepish:unsure:

I did have a question for ya'll though, regarding loyalty armors....If they decide to keep the character designs from ME2 in ME3, do you think the standard "default" outfits in ME3 will be their loyalty armors or the standard ones from ME2?  In my head, those loyalty armors are totally totally canon.   I liked every single one better than the normal one. (Again, JACK.  Also, Miranda's black jumpsuit, that is hot.  I can totally say that.)

So do you think it'll be the same, loyalty...or is it more likely that the armors will get updated into entirely new designs? (I think yes, this is most likely....but I'll be sad to see the loyalty armors go.  I just love the red inside of Garrus's collar.  It's hawt.)

Cold, hard numbers for the weapons are here and here. Annoyingly, there isn't a 'best' weapon anywhere, they all have their own drawbacks and advantages. For example, the first AR, the Avenger, is weaker than the second, but has a larger clip size and can be fired continuously, whereas the second, the Vindicator, is much more powerful and accurate, but fires in a three-round burst and runs out of ammo faster. The Mantis, the first sniper rifle, has only ten shots, but is extremely powerful. The second, the Viper, has something like forty shots, but is much weaker. The only  weapon I would consider 'best' out of a single type is the DLC Eviscerator shotgun, which is head and shoulders above everything else, even the Claymore, which is supposed to be the awesome 'advanced training' shotgun (but is actually kind of crappy since you only get one shot before reloading--and if you're close enough to be using a shotgun, you're gonna want more than one shot before reloading).

Thanks for the info. :) I'll have to compare those lists to my Shepard's in-game weapons, but I'm pretty sure she's still using the Claymore (I don't think I've changed it since the advanced training), one of the machine guns, and the Collector Particle Beam (which is her favorite, but she uses the Grenade Launcher sometimes too).

I can just imagine her talking with Garrus about all the changes weapons went through during the past two years. xD She would probably say "I love this particle beam" the same way Garrus says "I love this rifle."

For your party members, though--always go with the more powerful weapons. They have infinite ammo, so Garrus can fire the Mantis all day long if you tell him to keep it equipped.

Talithread sticky - wut? Like it's ever leaving the frontpage.

But maybe I'm just jealous.

No, I'm not jealous. I just don't see the point of stickying a character thread with the compilation stickied.

Anyway.

I just woke up from a dream that this thread got locked and we had to start another one.
...instead, I wake up to find the Tali thread stickied.

I love Tali almost as much as a Talimancer (I...don't want to talk about it) but the redundancy of stickying the thread hurts my head.

I'll be sure to do that now, since you reminded me I can change teammates weapons too. xD I don't know why I forgot about that. That's actually something from the old system I spent so much time learning before they changed it.

For all of the hours I don't have to spend going through Shepard's inventory, now I have to spend them planet scanning. o_o; If I had to choose one or the other, it would definitely be the inventory.

I didn't realize there was loyalty armor at first, so I didn't switch anyone's armor yet (even though I currently have seven loyal teammates), but now that I know Jack gets a shirt for being loyal, that'll be the first thing my Shepard does when she returns to the Normandy. xD One question though: If you complete Miranda's loyalty mission, change her outfit, complete Jack's loyalty mission, and then side with Jack in the fight, does Miranda suddenly switch back to her previous outfit?

I thought the Tali thread had 500+ posts when I saw it a few hours ago. o_o; Now it's over 2,000...

One thing that I would have liked for ME2 is the ability to cycle through more than just 2 choices for squad mate armor. That being said, I'd like to be able to import my game into ME3 and have at least 2 outfits to start for each squad mate assuming I did that characters loyalty quest. Then more armors should be unlockable through either game progression or by purchase (or both). ...Not sure how that would work out for the ME1 squaddies that will be returning.

And it would be interesting to see if squad mates could be like Shepard on the Normandy...wear casual clothes. They did it in ME1 with the humans and Liara. I'd include Wrex and Garrus but...they just wore their default armor on the Normandy. Tali's fine the way she is.

Tali sticky doesn't bother me. I just can't believe there is a Kaiden Alenko support thread. He's already lived happily ever after with Revan and that is the end of it. Leave me alone, space Elvis.

I almost laughed out loud at that last part just imagining evil Shepard biotic-slapping both Miranda and Jack while telling them to fall in line. xD

I did the missions out of order (with Miranda's being #2, my Shepard went - 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, possibly 7, and then 2), and I think that probably messed something up. Both Paragon and Renegade options were unavailable during the fight, Paragon was available after, but I didn't like that option. Now it disappeared, but it wasn't something my Shepard would say anyway... Actually, it's more realistic that Miranda is not loyal to my Shepard. o_o;

They didn't.  Revan left Carth.  And Carth isn't Kaidan, Thane is closer.

I wonder what evil Shepard's exact words would be. xD He'd probably have to tone it down from what he really wants to say though. Miranda is his "girlfriend" (that's what she thinks, but he's really just using her), and he knows that he shouldn't make Jack too angry because she's a powerful biotic who would probably give him (an Adept) a good run for his money in a fair fight.

And now, to mention Garrus in this post... Even evil Shepard likes him! :D Well, as much as he can like anyone. Garrus is very loyal, and easy to influence - that makes him evil Shepard's favorite.

Going Renegade and finally got tough on Miranda/Jack during their fight. :P Lost Jack's loyalty last time. Still wasn't bad enough to get Morinth :/ even though I did everyone else's missions first. Now I have to play -again- to get Dominate. *sigh*

Ugh. Tali stickied? That's just.....stupid. >:( Sorry, don't mean to get all irkitated, but that smacks of a new, totally unnecessary level of character bias on these forums....she's (extremely) popular. We get it. It's not like they need to crank the enabling up to 11 here.

Moar armor options = yes. While I'm at it, I will gripe -again- about how you visit Tuchanka, the Flotilla, -and- Illium in ME2 but not so much as a whiff of a turian colony. There'd better be something speshul for my turian homies in ME3.....I'll tolerate this human on turian racism only as long as they are being saved for something important later!

I thought the Renegade option saves both of their loyalties. o_o; Also, I hope my evil Shepard doesn't have any trouble recruiting Morinth, since he's my only Shepard who would actually do that... but somehow, I don't think he'll have a problem.

Shepard should get to visit a turian colony or Palaven in ME3. :) It's only fair that all of the most important species get their equal screentime.

Hey, I fully support enabling fan madness.  If ME2's inclusion of Garrus and Tali is any indication, it gets results!
