Garrus vs Kaidan..
Aw, that would be fun to watch.
(Even though we know the winner)
I hope that if there is a confrontation, it'll be a little more interesting then the ME1 ones, and A LOT more interesting then the ME2 ones..

"So, Kaidan, want a hot threesome with two beautiful women, both of whom you've repeatedly stated your attraction for?"
"Nope."
"...and people say he makes no sense as a gay romance."

I don't think that would end well for Tali.

Probably not. :D But since she isn't fighting for my Fem!Shep's romantic snu-snus, she should be fine. Technically, Garrus is fighting over them either. But if said pudding action is in Mass Effect 3...bring on the Mass Effect romance!

Hey, question! Did you all like how the Garrus romance subplot was initiated, or would you have preferred a different way to suggest a relationship with him? I seem to remember some people saying they were put off by how forward Shepard is about the whole thing. Admittedly, I think there are better ways to start a relationship other than "I WOULD LIKE TO TEST YOUR REACH WITH MY SALARIAN FLEXIBILITY PLS." Still, in some ways, I don't think he'd go for a relationship if Fem!Shep approached him differently.

Sounds weird, I know, but...well, he was talking about how said "Reach and Flexibility" encounter with that turian scout helped relieve stress which in turn helped them both focus on their mission. Maybe he was thinking along the same lines in the initial stages of his relationship with Shepard, but started to realize that he wanted more from it as it progressed?

I honestly think if Fem!Shep suggested starting a relationship another way with him, he'd be pretty level headed about it and say, "That would make things more complicated than they already are, probably not a smart idea." This way, it appeals to his sense of helping keep himself and Shepard focused on the mission. He brings it up in at least one of the conversations that, no matter how it plays out, it'll help them focus on the mission by either: 1.) Successfully easing tension, or 2.) Being so horrible that fighting the Collectors would be a welcome distraction from just how AWFUL it was.

But, again, as he digests the thought of being with Shepard, he says things like: "Special moments for us." "This is about us." US. HMM.

FFFFUUUUU

I don't know, what do y'all think?

Also: Garrus. Garrus, Garrus, GARRUS.

I wonder if cheating on Kaidan will make him not join your crew. I hope not, I like him but Garrus is just too awesome. I already did two new female Shepards in ME1. One to use with Garrus without romancing Kaidan and the other one to romance Thane. However I'm having a hard time which to use with Garrus. A blonde or an Adept. Unfortunately it never occurred to me to make the Adept blonde so yeah. I'm fascinated by biotics but I like blondes too. So difficult.

Well, I both liked it and disliked it. I mean, all your points make sense, but I feel that the initiation was out of character for my Shepard's personality.
I just think it could have been initiated and Shepard could have made clear her feelings, by other means then offering to knock alien boots. :P

I think you're pretty on the money.  He only really starts looking at the feelings part as she continuously reassures him that this is what she wants.

I liked Garrus' awkwardness,  I'm guessing that's the way things would go if it was me in that position. However I would have preferred if it was Garrus the one that tells Shepard about his attraction instead of Shepard saying it. Well at least it's not like Jacob where every conversation is about the romance. I'm guessing he just didn't say anything about his romance because either he thought Shepard would find it a horrible idea or his Turian instinct told him not to.

Ha, yeah, I wish there was another option to start the relationship up with him. Not so much for his sake so much as for Shepard's sake. She comes across a little...strong. I was always joking about how my Fem!Shep was nefariously raunchy, though, so I guess it kind of suited her.

She's an intimidating woman.  She can throw a man into orbit, field strip a rifle in under 2 seconds, and hack a geth platform in less. She's saved the galaxy, twice.  Who wouldn't be terrified of her?

My FemShep has zero experience with romance and tends to blurt things out without thinking them through. Plus, she was worried that she'd scare him off if she explicitly told him how she really felt (and she probably would have), but she would regret doing nothing since they could all die soon. There's no time to take things slowly! So, yeah, her awkward way of confessing was pretty in-character. She was just kinda hoping that he'd come around to her line of thinking eventually (and he did, much to her relief).

I can totally see how it would bother others, though. Shepard DID come across very strong and...kinda goofy. Depending on how you roleplay your Shepard, that could either be good or bad. I know it would have been completely out of character for my more calm and experienced Shepard no matter how you slice it, but thankfully THAT Shepard has no romantic interest in Garrus anyway.

I do see what you mean about Garrus, Umanix. He probably figured that an interspecies relationship could never work, and if they tried one and it failed horribly, they may not ever be able to go back to being normal friends again. Considering that Shepard is his ONLY friend left, I can understand why he'd be very hesitant to try something like that, despite what his own feelings may be. But as the romance continues he starts to think "Screw it, this may end terribly but I DO want something more" and the whole thing becomes much more important than just "blowing off steam"--even though he doesn't outright admit it, the evidence is there.

I agree with you; somehow I think a more 'traditional' relationship start wouldn't work for them. They'd end up like a genderflipped version of Friendzoned Turian and Oblivious Quarian. If you have to beat him over the head with your interest to convince him you're genuine...well, I'm okay with that.

Yeah it's probably going to happen that way. I haven't used an Engineer in ME2 and that's what the blonde is however I love biotics. I might even end up romancing Garrus with both, Thane is not as interesting as all the people say he is IMO.

So, what do we think the ME2 content reveal will be tomorrow?

http://twitter.com/m...tus/10190189962

If there's a thread on this already, could someone kindly direct me to it?

Personally, I'd like some post-mission dialogue/squad interaction and some missions. I fear the day Bioware announces a content pack and it's just more armor/weapons.

I want more stories dammit. Either that, or the ability to make my own with a pen-and-paper mass effect game.

So I'm just gonna nod my head and agree. 'Cause that was a well written spot on take on it.
I think, for my part, I was a bit miffed at FemShep's forwardness with the LI's in general.  That it was only when YOU initiated, things went somewhere, but I guess, I'd be less miffed if Mr. Derp Derp had actually started hitting on you, then I'd been ok.  I would have shut him down in a heart beat, but the option was there, and after playing Dragon Age, I was spoiled (yes, I was a total tease to Al and had him jump Caye at camp ^.^)
