I didn't understand the Tali thing either, but Kal'Reegar and the introduction of male quarians in general in ME2 enlightened me to the appeal.  If you check out any of the character polls on the forum you'd see that Tali is by far the fan fave in regards to the Mass Effect women.  With the male characters Garrus always seems to take the #1 spot.

It was the fans constant yammering way back in the Mass Effect 1 forums that got both Tali AND Garrus included as LI's in ME2, after all.    I hope Bioware is also taking note to the current yammering on the ME2 forums and brings back all of the squadmates for ME3.

Edit: Here's a link to the most voted on "Favorite ME1/ME2 Character" poll.  Tali is #1 with Garrus at #2.

I can't vote in that poll.  I just can't choose.  Blasphemy, I know.  But I spent all of ME1 with both Kaiden and Garrus.  Thane just didn't fill that spot. 

(And yes, I realize I just made a Garrus-level innuendo, but still!)

So I woke up this morning to discover that my alarm clock has become Garrus.



Because apparently it makes its OWN TIME.

Trust me, I freaked out when EVERY CLOCK IN THE HOUSE said it was 7am, while the alarm was merrily buzzing away at 822am.



Suffice to say, according to Garrus time... it's 2:42PM.

Just saw that in my daily devs, very gorgeous piece of Garrus art. XD

And Anyx, I can't justify malleting the poor clock... It's only acting out since the cats like it on the floor more than on the dresser.  Plus... if it's acting like Garrus, well, imitation is the highest form of flattery... >.>

I want you to know, the minute I clicked on that Talimancer vid, "The Sound of Madness" by Shinedown started playing on my iPOD.  It was.... appropriate.

Also, that painting is gorgeous.

I just saw that one myself as well. I really like the take on his skin and stuff on it. It's... different. Interesting.

Me too.  I mean, concept art is really bare bones basic in what a turian might look like without armor or cloths, but s/he went further to show some awesome texture and detail in that piece.

I really like it.  Love the placing of the plates vs where there's actual skin.  Looks way cool.  Plus the details in the room are just awesome (cloths, ships, etc)

I like the interpretation of the collar ridge...not so much the shoulder (I like the smooth one in the concept art. Reminds me of muscle), but...Is it weird my favorite part of the picture is the clothes in the background? Little touches like that make it for me.



Uh....Does anybody else sometimes get momentarily snippy and uppity when they see a Garrus fanart or game clip of him with a shepard who isn't yours? Just for a second, but I get a "Oh my god Garrus you cheating sssss****! I thought you were with Shepard! I- wait. Oh. That is Shepard. Just someone else's version of her. OK, my bad. Carry on."

One of the reasons I'm actually pretty glad that there isn't really a default female Shep like there is for a male. (I know there's a default face, but we don't see her too often.)  I actually feel sorry for people who play a manshep, because if I played him I would spend the whole time feeling like my customized Shepard is "wrong", and that I'm not playing with the "real" Shepard. (Of course, the heavy ManShep marketing kind of does that anyway <_< ....)
