That there is what we call 'metal cybernetic implants'. Not colony markings. Saren is pretty established as barefaced from concept through finished game. Way to support the racial profiling, BioWare!

Well crap. See I can't even do your plan, Silt, because I don't get any facecode at all. Did you import your face from ME1 and still get code? I don't know why it won't show up on mine, I have been told that if you are a) on 360 and B) using an ME1 face, you don't get code. That the only way to get face codes is to make an entirely new face. Which would be fine if it didn't change your face to default when you select customize....why would they do that?!?! Seems like a glaring mistake for bioware, making it hard for people to use the Shepards they are attached to. I mean I can't be the only one who started the trilogy on 360 that's having this problem.

If I had to start from scratch I don't think I could recreate her =( and if that were the case I may as well just do it straight on PC anyway.

Well, aren't Spectres, by their very nature, required to be barefaced?  I can imagine retaliation against your home colony, for instance.

My face code showed up, I think.  I'll check tonight.

I was trying to think of a way around this -- any ideas? I considered...maybe..importing her it ME2 on 360, and when it lets me edit her, tweaking just ONE tiny thing. Will the game then show me a face code once I save that face? Then I could take that code, put it into my PC version, and just untweak that one little thing, and voila......good plan or glaring holes I'm not seeing?

EDIT: Mass Effect + Firefly = head implodes with joy

I'm pretty sure the face code is the string of letters and numbers in the top left of the character screen...seen below as "identity code."

Right, but the thing is, if you made your character in ME1, there is no code there.  So I am wondering, if I import my ME1 Shepard, but change one small thing, will it then start displaying a code because she's an "ME2" created face now?

Oh hah, I read your question wrong. :pinched:
Anyway...the Shep I showed above is an untweaked import from ME1 to ME2. So...import the Shep, grab face code, input into PC version.
Should work out fine. :3

 That is really weird.  There's definitely a face code for my imported Shepard.  I have no idea why yours or anybody else's wouldn't.

(And yeah, that seems like a terrible design flaw.  The first time I started it up I was considering changing my Shepard's eyecolor, but then it went right to default and I was like "OK NEVERMIND THEN GAWD. Be that way.")

No. There is no way to do this at this time, despite MANY requests for it as DLC. For example, my original FemShep, in my happy little mind, had cosmetic mods to give her the violet-blue eyes she always wanted. This eye color is no longer available in ME2, so the only way I can keep it is if I import the face wholesale. HOWEVER, she's been comatose for 2 years, most of it as a lump of meat - so I can't see her with anything but uber-short hair rather than the shoulder-length tresses she kept in ME1 (hey, she may be humanity's most kick-ass soldier, but a girl's gotta be allowed to play dress up sometimes, amirite?). I ended up almost exactly re-creating her to get the short-short hair, but had to compromise on the eyes. Nossir, I didn't like it.

And I'm done spamming the thread til this evening.

Garrus.

but...but...:crying::crying: that's exactly what I did. imported from ME1, didn't change anything.  No code.  Is there something wrong with my game?

EDIT:  sorry about filling the thread with this, this will be my last question, then I'll just go cry in a corner because I can't make sappy music videos about SHEPPUS with my main Shep.

I lied abouut the spam, apparently.

Nope - Nihlus has prominant colony tats, and Spectres are assumed to be capable of making unsupervised judgment calls. It's kind of the big selling point of the job.

No, I'm an Xbro using an imported face and I have a code. Weird thing though, it only shows up when I'm on a mission; if I check the squad screen on the Normandy, no code.

So import her, make a sandwich during the opening, get to the bit where you actually play, check the squad screen and copy down the code, then restart, re-import, eat your sandwich during the opening, and enter the code during facial reconstruction, tweaking what you want. The way it works is as you select facial features, the code is generated at the bottom of the screen during the reconstruction process, changing as you change features. Line up the features so the numbers and letters match what you copied down. I think PC might have a thing where you can just directly enter the string of numbers and letters, but Xbros gotta work for it.

(and while I don't like pairing mush names as a whole, Sherrus always sounded relatively appealing to me.)

You know what be interesting to see in the next DLC?
Have Garrus and Jacob/Thane fighting over Shepard's affection. :P

Ever thought about that? I do, though I would love to see that in the DLC wishlist, heh heh heh!

Also, hmm. Have you got the Gibbed Mass Effect 2 Save edit from Mass Effect 2 faces or something like that site?
Mines showed up after I got it to test the hair mnesh code for my second Shepard.

Aw, no, I don't hate Jacob enough to watch him get his ass beat by Garrus. ;) Because you know that no matter what the competition, Jacob has no chance against him.

If a gunship can't be Garrus, Jacob certainly has no hopeB)

Thanks moonboots! I'll have to try that later today. I don't think I ever checked for the code during combat -- it's possible that was the problem. I was told on a "post your Shepard" thread that 360 users don't get code so that's why I had that in my head. Shouldn't have given up so easily =)

Hehe. Well, it's just my thought of what it would be like if they fought over Shepard's affection, I mean, how the heck that Jacob knows you're flirting with Garrus.
Same goes with Mordin knows about your relationship with Garrus and give you advices. (Though, I was disappointed there's not any cutscenes regarding to that in the game).

Then again, look at Jack and Miranda had a little fight in Miranda's office. >.<

WHAT!?  ARGH why oh why am I in class right now?  This is so not fair, want to hear!

So obviously without hearing the inflection I can't know, but the fangirl inside of me just leapt up, screaming in unbridled glee.  It has to be Shepard.  Unless...does it sound possesive or does it sound violent?  I can't think of any female in the game that Garrus would be all GUNGHO about killing like that....

And the supportive waist....I considered
it might mean they have thicker waists as well.  Even if females are
smaller thinner as whole, the fact that a supportive waist is a
compliment suggests that the thicker, the more appealing.  Which could
also be a nice physical aspect of Shep/humans that Garrus could find
attractive just at face value -- since her proportions give her a
thicker waist than turians.  I like to think so anyway =).

I always liked this interpretation. He could be just groping for compliments and 'supportive' seemed like neutral ground, but it would crack me up if male turians were the ones with the hourglass figure and female ones were boxier. And it would also be a nice change from the 'alien females look exactly like perfect-bodied human females with a funny head' thing that Bioware's given us so far. I really can't see turian waists getting much thinner, anyway. The ones in casual clothes are incredibly small, there's just enough room for a spine; they must keep most of their organs in their chest.

I just can't see them fighting, though. Thane is...slightly passive-aggressive if you don't romance him; he gives you the pet name and harbors a significant attraction, but never makes the first move. Maybe just passive is the word? I'm not sure how to put it.

Garrus and Thane seriously respect each other, though. Garrus has like, three different lines on Thane's recruitment where he's like 'goddamn that guy is awesome' and the reverse is also true; hack Thane into Garrus's recruitment and he comments 'This man is a crack shot.'

...but I can see Garrus being hilariously oblivious to Thane's attraction, while talking to him about how much he cares about Shepard.

The female LIs are just too well-adjusted to catfight like Miranda and Jack.

It does sound kinda possessive ... But I dunno, no idea in what context he's supposed to say it.
