Well, I've found that we all quite like Garrus's romance because they've have a deep, meaningful friendship, first. Does anybody also find Garrus, or turians in general, quite attractive, or hot?

I do. I always take it for granted, what surprises me is how many fans love him without finding him attractive. xD

He is handsome. He is physically attractive.  Turians are, in general, though some of them have really unattractive voice actors (I think Aria's guard, for example. Not hot :pinched:.) I really don't know what else I can say, but if you have any specific questions, go ahead.

Also, what team does everybody use the most for missions? Unless you don't use Garrus, I don't think the third needs to be specified. I think I'm going to use Miranda more, after finding out how she screws the Illusive Man over in the end.

I used Miranda a lot. After downloading Zaeed, I've been using him. He and Garrus make a party ready for everything. Also, I don't feel very comfortable saying this, but having maleShep, Zaeed and Garrus in my party is pure manly eye candy...

As I've stated elsewhere, I want them to grow old fighting crime together like a sexy buddy cop movie. Forget settling down!

I found him quite sexy before realising that you could have a romance with him, and how deep that friendship turned romance is. I'm surprised as well that it appears people love him without being attracted to him, but I guess it's like Garrus himself; he doesn't have a human fetish but he's falling in love with Shepard. Writing that actually makes my heart warm. By the way, your deviantart is amazing.

I don't actually find Zaeed, MaleShep or such that attractive. Garrus blows everything out of the league in terms of attractiveness for me, which is quite sad, I realise. We should be able to control Garrus somewhere. Now that'd be good.

Well, I wouldn't mind seeing them fight crime together and such as a relationship, but I'd still like to see them fall deeper and deeper in love with each other that I feel quite redundant.

Now I wish human technology suddenly goes on fast-forward, and we're exploring space, finding and making ties with turian-like aliens (but not aliens like those ghastly masks) and such, and I make friends and later fall in love with one. All in my fantasies that will slowly consume me.

Add me to the started as friends camp. Garrus also appeals to me because he's Shep's equal on a lot of levels. I also like the fact that he continued, in his own way, ParaShep's fight against criminals and injustice, even if it didn't really make a dent in the crime on Omega. All that and fact that Turians have sexy necks. Posted Image

RE: About feeling sorry for the mercs on Omega, Jorath in particular... er not really (with the expection of the freelancers). The guy was selling tainted eezo all over council space. Who knows how many people that would have killed had it found it's way into ship drives? And I think about the people on Omega that they kicking that Garrus was striking back at them for... all his men has lost someone or something to the gangs. I don't know... I've always had a hard time feeling sorry for criminals (except under very specific circumstances). Posted Image

Also after seeing the bodies of the crew of the Strontium Mule just left to rot and the captain tortured for information... my Shep was seeing red in regards to the Blue Suns. To her crew is everything, and to see the crew of another ship treated in such a manner pissed her off beyond measure. Not to mention the betrayal on Purgatory and the fact that THEY SHOT MY TURIAN. All lead to their downfall. Posted Image I had to laugh at the recruiment ads on Illuim. And I can imagine Garrus getting no end of amusement out of the fact that you damaged their numbers so badly that they had to have a recruiting drive.

And vorcha are just annoying. Posted Image

Some people believe that turians are more open about sex in general, but I don't really get that impression when dealing with Garrus, anyway.  He sounds slightly embarrassed when he talks about his liason with that female turian.  He shuts the door when discussing whether or not Shepard really wants to go through with this, and seems very awkward talking about "blowing off steam" with her, using just about every means he can to skirt around calling it what it is.  Given that, I doubt he's super-promiscuous, but I also doubt that his involvement with that one turian was the only one he ever had (though that might depend on the playthrough and how you've dealt with Garrus--who knows?).

I'm inclined to think that turians runt he gamut in their sexual proclivities like humans.  Culturally they have many similarities to humans, they form family units, and we can see from the turian and quarian on Illium that they at least take part in some form of courting/dating.

I think any awkwardness on Garrus's part has everything to do with the fact that Shepard is his closest friend and he doesn't want to ruin that.  Add to that he has no experience with human women.  Poor guy's sweating the whole time afraid he's gonna screw up a good thing.

Like I said, I don't need or really want a traditional happy ending resolution with them settling down and getting married or whatever it is turians do.  In my mind they're just two individuals that found something in each other that they haven't found in anyone else.  I will be happy just knowing they are in love and stay together kicking ass and doing their thing.  No need to put labels on it.

Call me crazy but I also personally find turians hot.  Plus Keener already has a super sexy voice, add to that that weird turian flanging effect they use...*melt*

Agreed 100%. Maybe it's because, personally, I don't have any inclination toward marriage and that bleeds over into my Shep, but I'm happy with Shep and Garrus (heck, Shep and Kaidan too) just staying lovers all their lives. And I can see Garrus and Shepard riding around all their lives righting the wrongs of the galaxy with just each other and not really needing anything else. At least with my Shep anyway.

And the marriage and lived happily ever after picking daisies in the fields ending to Gann's in MofB almost ruined that romance for me. I would prefer an ending to Garrus romance that was like Valens from HotU were it just says you stayed together and eventually returned to Sigil with him. It doesn't specifically mention him and the Hero of Waterdeep getting married but the text was open enough that you could interpret it either way.

ELE08 and Flammie, I third you guys- or anyone else (wow I can't keep up with this thread XD)
Just seems silly, like others have said- I don't know but going through the games and all and despite wishful thinking-
Garrus and Shepard are just such... serious people, anything outside of that seems real weird like it's messing with their dignity like you gotta maintain their integrity. Like I'm glad with the romance cutscene, Garrus is adorable but not too much, and Shepard isn't suuuper sexy. But then again the simplicity in itself I hope implies the more deeper part like you don't need the physical dealio.
Also, first glance of a turian w/o much experience w/sci fi games, thought they were freaky but they do start to look attractive, like they're impressive and respectable :)
I hope I didn't just contradict myself, haha - you guys bring up such great convos though, fun to read!

-Their predatory eyes.
-Broad shoulders: masculine body.
-Tall.
-Athletic.
-Their voices not only add to that manliness, also include a very attractive distortion.
-Military society: discipline, honor, uniforms.

Those are the most general turn-ons I can think of. Others may be more subjective, like their faces looking kinda like masks (and I have a thing for masks  ), or I don't share them.

I've always took Garrus' keeping of that armor as a reminder not to run into enemy rockets...

Not that doesn't still do that in actual gameplay...Posted Image

Also, where are you guys finding those screenshots of Garrus with repaired armor?

... But the red eyepiece just seems wrong.  It should be blue.  It's always been blue.  :crying:

I like the new armor. Looks sexy... and WHOLE.

I don't mind his original armor having the big gaping hole in it. It's a great way to keep himself humble... ish. But the loyalty armor? Come oooooooon. Totally should have been whole.

The new red visor looks spiff.

/thumbs up

The hell are those glowing wires on his jaw?

Brass, it's interesting to note that beta Garrus--the one you see in stuff like the ME1 tech demo--has an orange eyepiece like this. It's probably a throwback to that.

Yep. Turians don't look attractive to me. Garrus is a superspecial being with a supersexy voice.

It looks a bit... brownish... in some parts. I don't like brown. I hate brown. But maybe it's the lighting that messes with the colour.

But, hurray for fixed armor!

Goes well for my Engineer Shepard. I use grey with him.

I actually like to have some sort of specific color for each class:

Infiltrator: Black and Blue (She's the Shepard I romanced Garrus with, after all!)

Engineer: Grey and White.

Vanguard: Yellow/Gold

Sentinel: Black and Purple.

Adept: Purple, probably, or blue.

Soldier: Red

And yeah, it's great he gets a fixed armor, and a red visor! I don't care much about it, though, I recently discovered how AWESOME his alternate loyalty colors are... For some reason I didn't like them at all at first, and now I love them.

(sorry for the late reply)

That is best thing about Garrus, he is not good looking to humans at all. He comes into the game looking like a cross between a cat a dinosaur and predator. Bioware did a great job quickly humanizing him to the point of friendship and trust. His personality countered his appearance, exhausted, lost, defeated.

After you get to know him a little you understand why he came to this point in his life. While he looks the most 'alien' of your team he reacts to situations in a more humanistic way than shepard does.
(The sight of hundreds of people die while watching the criminals tip toe around the system to freedom. His disappointed father hounding him for every decision he makes. The sudden death of Sheppard and finally the betrayal of Sidonis and the murder of the team he recruited in hopes of bringing hope to a distorted world.)

He was almost like a child in mass effect 1, complaining about everything always asking before he did anything. He was more of a little brother to me in mass effect 1. Yeah I loved him but I was more concerned on looking out for him while he discovers his place after C-sec.
Once I ran into him in mass effect 2 I could instantly see the changes Bioware made to him.

I was very proud of myself for not spoiling anything when it came to this game. (Heck i did not watch any trailers because i wanted to go in knowing nothing.)
While talking to him about finding Sidonis I felt an attraction between the two of them, while Garrus had become space batman he still felt a little anxious. Looking back now I know all of your squad mates ask for your help in a personal cross road in their life. However his gave me a feeling of honor that he would trust me in helping him. The now strong, bad ass Garrus asking for my help. In my first play through I never side with being "good" or "evil" I just make whatever choice I think is proper, most of the time I am nice but not on this mission. His mission made me evil; I wanted to kill everyone who did this to him.

I am not crazy about videogames, I mostly find myself watching my husband play them unless he recommends I play it myself. (only when he is done with it first -.-) I never intended to find anything in the department of romance like this. I went into to mass effect 2 with the same mindset that 1 had. You are 'given' a character to romance.

No offence to Kaidan, he is a good character but... it felt like flirting with the man your mom and dad arranged you to marry. Garrus was left field for some of us, (I know there was a crazy cult of girls who idolized him, I can't say i was.)

It honestly caught me off guard when i realized i fell for him.
That is romance.
