I was not bothered by Kaidan's tantrum on Horizon. I thought it was perfectly natural for him to act the way he did. In fact, after that scene, I looked at Kaidan's picture in Shep's cabin and thought, "You know, Kaidan's not so bad. Sorry Garrus, maybe some other playthrough." Then came the e-mail. It really rubbed me the wrong way. My main Shep deserves better...So, hey, Garrus. I'm feeling a bit tense. Wanna help me out with that? Unexpectedly, this became my most favorite romance of any Bioware game.

Doing my 3rd playthrough right now, and I highly recommend (as mean as it sounds) bringing Garrus with you to the quarantine zone to pick up Mordin. Not only does he make a couple cute comments, but Mordin has some unique things to say to him in regards to it being "unlikely" that a turian would work with a human due to (AHEM) "tensions".

Why didn't Garrus watch the vids? Well, I remember this cute little series called "Alien Nation" a while back. The human detective didn't watch the vids, either - macho thing - and got his neck and back thrown out for it.

It would be funny if they had shown afterwards that Garrus had some "battle scars" so to speak. Like Tali and her fever.

Yeah, it seems that way. Bioware may have wanted to allay fears that you get her sick and kill her and added the postgame line.

Incredibly unfortunate. We're still stuck with the "I can't believe we're going to do this" lines. I'd at least like to know if he considers it more than just a tiebreaker sort of situation by now, though the implication is that he does. But I'm not satisfied with implications. ME1 implied things, and that did not go over well.

While it probably is unlikely that DLC will add to the romance subplots, I still hold out a tiny bit of hope that they might at least sneak in a new line for the LI's who didn't get an updated line like Tali did... You know something to indicate that you didn't just imagine having a romantic interlude with your LI. Honestly, I'd settle for that, and 1 line can't be too much to ask, right?

What I didn't like about the Kaiden romance in ME1 was how there was nothing you could say to him that didn't lead him on. I *really* tried, but ended up having to bite his head off about questioning me about Liara (then bite her head off for questioning me about Kaiden) just to get him/them to back off. Interaction on Horizon couldn't change my mind about him, though, because... well... he was kinda dead on Virmire. To be honest I was afraid he'd somehow magically count himself as my boyfriend no matter what I did or said , and I was holding out for Garrus (or at least someone a bit less "You're talking to me, that must mean you luv me :wub:").

Yeah, basically on my newest 'refresher renegade FemShep' playthrough, I'm just actively not talking to anyone vaguely human-looking so I can avoid those unwanted entanglements.

But that doesn't even make sense.. If it's done to make sure Tali survives, how is this different in our case? Doing the nasty with garrus could very well be fatal for Garrus fans, too! Actually no, worse because in our case Garrus OR shepard could suffer. In Tali's case? It's just her.

Am I the only one who thinks their positions should be switched, though? I could see FemShep relishing in a moment to relax and zone out without having to worry about saving the galaxy, whereas Garrus probably doesn't have the patience for a normal-length play. xD

Err. She's still standing there very much alive after the suicide mission. I think that's proof enough that the sex went well. Plus, there are complications with sexing a turian and yet we don't get any special dialogue? Lame, BioWare.

Maybe they just gave her an extra line because she's the fan favorite.

Well, quarians got a touch of the retcons; in ME1 the implication was more that if you sneeze you kill every quarian in a five-mile radius; game two added some logic/DNA chirality explanations that downgraded suit breaches to 'situational, usually dangerous' rather than 'well, guess we gotta head down to the store and pick up a new quarian'. There are still 'LOLOL IN ME3 TALI DIES BECAUSE YOU HAD SEX WITH HER HOW DOES IT FEEL TALI****S' trolls squatting around anyway.

But yeah, there really should be a 'resolution' line for all the LIs. Post-game dialog is so buggy I half-wonder if there is and it got lost; notice that Joker's conversation tree jumbles the hell up and you permanently lose the option to ask him a few things (about the squad you went out with last, for example).

LOL... well, there goes the mood... Somehow I keep seeing the same situation in my head with Jacob's skeazy "priiiize" line. Maybe you could actually turn him down properly at that point
