Erm, maybe I came across wrong, but I wasn't trying to equate the characters to animals.  Just giving an example of how different from human they look, and the furry fandom was the closest thing I could think of.  I dunno, maybe there's like a robo fandom that gets all hot and bothered over circuit boards and dirty DOS programs...

Reguardless, the characters always come across as a thinking feeling person to me.  The phys rep just happens to not be human.

Yeah, I think they must come across to my subconscious almost as just humans in elaborate costume. Which is why I don't look at them as "animals" either.  They're intelligent, sentient beings just like the humans I know.  Just, they aren't my species.  I mean, it's not too different from finding these attractive (also I'm not trying to go all Avatar on you guys here by comparing aliens to non western cultures, I'm just trying to show the degrees to which humans can alter their own appearances):

Oh and the "Shepard's Secret Shame" comic has me in tears. the laughing kind.

Also can someone explain the "donuts" meme to me? is there a turian somewhere talking about donuts?

Hoodie: DO WANT> If you don't feel like taking me up on an offer to pay much monies for such a hoodie, then perhaps as another person posted, you could put up a pattern/instructions? I'm not the most amazing seamstress, but I do okay.

Garrus in ME3: I also want way more physical contact. I want a rotating-camera angle with Garrus all touching my FemShep's face right before the big final battle. I want Tali to tell me how sweet it is I'm settling down with Garrus so I can give her another hug. And I need at least one hug interrupt with a distressed Garrus.

Garrus/FemShep marriage: I have nothing against marriage ata all for these two. I myself am, in fact, happily married. I only meant that it didn't seem like something they'd be too worried about, just something they'd be, "Well sure, why not" if it eventually came up.

Donuts: Yes, there is a donut-loving turian on the Citadel. I guess it's one of those food that are okay for both DNA types. I can see Garrus and Shep sitting down to figure out what they can both eat. Then Shep going into anaphylactic shock while Garrus is busy enjoying the awesomeness of chocolate.

Marriage is fine.  it's just awfully optimistic of two people in the business of saving the galaxy every two years.

And that is too funny of an image.

I'd go with the quick, short ceremony rather than any kind of big production-

Garrus: "I don't know. I think you'd look nice in a dress."

CallaShepard: *Glare* "Good luck with -that-."

...y-... you can tell what it's supposed to resemble, right? PLEASE TELL ME YOU CAN TELL.

omg. silt.  that is the coolest thing i have ever seen on the internet, ever.  i would seriously buy one from you if you made two...are you just sewing the colored patches on or what?

EDIT: no seriously.  I would pay you to make another one and send it to me. NAME THY PRICE.  Also, wonder if a little golden archangel shoulder patch would be cute?  or alternatively (so it's not...TOO much Garrus/blatant copyright infringement, i'm guessins Bioware technically has the right to make/sell ME clothing) another hoodie with only the archangel symbol.

Wait, there is? In ME2? Where exactly is he? I thought that the turian ERCS guard on Noveria in ME1 was the only turian who ever mentioned donuts.

LOL, sorry, I just have this odd fondness for the idea of turians liking donuts.

....Wait. Maybe I have myself confused. Maybe he was on Noveria... O_o Not sure what just happened in my brain.

Moving on: I was also a little disappointed we didn't get to spar with Garrus. :) They wanted to shy away from the actual getting on of the groove, so why couldn't we have had a little foreplay/spar instead? ((ETA: Well, besides it being tricky to choreograph and whatnot for a brief, optional scene....grrr.))
They have said that the trilogy is the main arc. No porting to a 4th game. But yet, the franchise may continue. Does this sound like the potential to anyone else for....Garrus TEH GAME?! Split into 2 parts- a 'before ME1' and a 'Omega Station' part. Or whatever. I, as anyone else here, would really just take whatever other Garrus is thrown at me. *Waits for Garrus to be thrown*

siltsonata: Yes. Will pay real monies or prostrate myself for pattern. The front patches look fairly straightforward, but the shoulders look trickier and the inside of the hood looks just....diffucult. <:(

Oh god ...
This is the best thing ever.
You do know he has a wife?

Also I was thinking of getting the N7 hoodie from the store, yeah it is 50$ but I think of it as giving Bioware more money to work with when making ME3, also to be able to afford amazing actors like Brandon Keener.

Aynxalot, I just read your fic Precedent. You very skillfully and tactfully filled in the black hole that the Garrus/Shep romantic interlude left within the game. We wanted at least a kiss! Thanks for giving us more than that. And I like how you wrapped it up so that it went full circle to canon by bringing us to the heads touching.

=^_^= Thanks guys. I really never expected a whole lot of people to even read them, so that means a lot. I loves me some Garrus.

*Gags at seeing Conrad Verner again* My otherwise uber-Paragon FemShep stuck a gun in his face. He's going to say I did in ME2 anyway, but also, I just -hate- him, so much. The way he wanted me FemShep's pic was soo skeevy. "My wife's gonna LOVE this!" .........riiiight. I would have let the turians grease him, but then I wouldn't get the chance to put the smack down on him again in ME2.

This hoodie is the *censored*!! How did you make it O.o

Yeah, as everyone has noticed, it's a plain black hoodie that I bought from Target (Actually, the original goal was to repurpose a hoodie from a thrift store; I like to revamp old stuff. Recycle Reduce Reuse and all that.  But in the end, I couldn't find one that I liked and I reasoned that I'm going to be wearing this a lot, might as well at least start with something I like, so... recycling fail.)  I made a duplicate of the hood out of red knit fabric and put it in there, then cut out my pieces and slapped them on.  Blue thread on the top, Black thread on the bottom so the stitching wouldn't show too bad.

I also..erm...tried to put the blue strip going straight up the back, which worked out fine until I got to the hood itself.:pinched: then it all fell apart.  It's made of fug.  Which is why I don't have the hood up in the picture, it looks awful up. Luckily it doesn't rain much where I live, I can keep it down most of the time...

The problem with the Eagle Patch, and believe me I want that on there very badly, is that I don't really have the sew-fu required to make such a complicated design (well...complicated for me, anyway.) out of knit, to match the rest of the fabric, because hemming down the edges would probably turn out all wrong.  Basically the only way that I could put it on there now is to use felt:sick: which does not require hemming, but I'm pretty sure it would look super tacky.  I'm also a little stumped as to how to get stuff on the arms without hand-sewing it on (which I do not really know how to do.)

(...I'm also kind of holding out for Bioware to someday sell that patch. Please. Pleeeeaaase.)

Three Questions.

2) How much money do you want for it?
3) Obligatory, are you over 18?

LOOK GUYS, I'M NOT CREEPY AT ALL!!! HAHAAHAHAHA!!!!

The selling thing...Mreh.  That's pretty high pressure.  I'm not sure I have enough confidence in my work to sell anything for any reasonable price (It wasn't particularly cheap to make, though certainly cheaper than buying the N7 hoodie from bioware.  Although don't get me wrong, I want that one too, I just don't have the monies right now.)

Ha, you can never be too sure, it's the internet.  Not only 18, I am of the legal drinking age.  Should hope so since I've been spending most of spring break so far making Mass Effect related Shot Glasses in addition to that hoodie. (An etched glass N7 doubleshot, etched Paragon half-shot because you know...paragons are weenies :P, And a 3 1/2 shot N7 glass with marks at 1/2 shot increments labled as casual, normal, veteran, hardcore, and insanity.)

Now there's an idea.  I'm not definitely not good enough to sell anything but I know that I personally love it when people put tutorials online for pretty much anything.  Might even be able to put patterns up for some of the smaller pieces.  And I'm always in the mood to share Garrus love. ;)  I'm going to put this on the livejournal comm eventually (when I think it's done, although like I mentioned before I might just call it quits now before I ruin it further) and if I get enough interest in a tutorial there as well, I'll consider it. (Since I already have one and in order to make a good tutorial I'd probably have to make another. )

Unfortunately my spring break (and therefore free time) is almost up and I have like a bajillion other Mass Effect crafts planned that I haven't even started. (N7 Sweatpants that say S-P-E-C-T-R-E on the butt, like those cheerleaders in high school used to have.  :PA body-pillow sized Urz the Varren, plus the entire cast in doll form in my usual style (like my felt Garrus). SO.  That tutorial probably wouldn't come until like...summer or something.  I don't know, we'll see.

Well, I believe I've expressed my deepest love for Garrus quite openly,
despite being what I am. Also, the magical folder is amazing.

I guess it's nice we're all thinking of all the vast ways this
relationship can go. I don't mind how it goes, even if it goes all
slushy family-related with children, marriage and stuff. I'd only be
angry if an ending involving the romance was outright ignored.

My current Shepard (male...) is an Infiltrator, but I think I'm interested
in playing Sentinel more. It seems to be moer versatile and defensive,
which I like. I probably will pick up sniper-rifle training for her
later into it, though.

My plan for my femShep is to *cough* wear the same colours and similar clothing to Garrus.

http://artastrophe.d...acing-154707919

I'd take any game with Garrus as the main character or even major and
embrace it. Literally. In the middle of the shop. Or maybe the computer
screen if it's going to be ordered.

As I've said, part most of my attraction to turians is the fact they're turians, they're
sentient, intelligent, quite attractive, and I guess you could turn it
around and say because they're not human.

And, I actually think a "Meet the Parents" would be quite interesting/funny. I wonder who
would be the most judgemental out of the two sets.

And, I decided to read the fanfic aynxalot. I skimmed through it a bit, but so far I'm impressed, it's an excellent change from the original interlude which made me feel a bit empty, and you've made it much better. Great job. As has been mentioned, I also like that you went back to what happened at the end of the original, with the head rubbing. Wonderful work, wonderful.

The thing about Turians is that I just can't take my eyes off of them. I don't find myself physically attracted to them like I would be with a human man. But they are still majestic- it's almost ridiculous to say this, but they're so cool looking that it's a shame that there aren't Turians in real life. That's pretty much a high compliment to the game designers. They are each a marvel- like a unique painting that will never be duplicated. I found myself sad when Nihlus died, because I enjoyed looking at him so much.

Hm, That means I'll have to find some yellow/bronze/gold knit somewhere now.  Still leaves the problem of my atrocious handsewing skills, but that's at least half of the problem gone.

Agreed. My very first playthrough, back in the day, I was very not fond of Nihlus. I don't know, maybe I felt easily pushed in that direction by Joker's comments, but anyways....latest playthrough, was super-nice to him, he was super-nice back, and it actually made me sad that the "many missions together" would never come to fruition.
The Turian Councilor, on the other hand, is still too much fun to mess with. The whole Council, but him in particular, because you can do -no right- by the guy. If I had no heart I would have killed the Rachni Queen just so I could call him out on his "genocide" dig at me. "Depends on the species....turian." Indeed, FemShep. I think my renegade Shep will- however, I have diffuculty dragging my butt over to play her, 'coz she's gonna be faithful to Kaidan. *Grumbles*

Who else has seen the comments some **** left under the Reach and Flexibility vid on Youtube calling the Garrus romance 'beastiality'? Damn, I about blew a gasket. Luckily, plenty of other people had already ripped him up one side and down the other about it but it still has me steamed.

ETA: D'oh. Of -course- I didn't bother to quote the post I was replying to and there were all kinds of other-topic posts in between.....mah bad.
