I'd never be able to hit it off with Brandon, anyway, what with being male, 15 years old and all. Still, don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear Garrus's voice, but I think I'd prefer the whole Garrus package at least than just the voice.
Not saying I don't find turians cute, but I think they could still pull off scary and together, and I think their military seems powerful enough. I'd hug one in public, and run away screaming. Unless they hugged back.
Eh, if it exists, there's probably a fan of it. Brandon won't be an exception from the rabid fangirls/boys.

I'm married, and I still don't understand women. Suddenly one day coming home my wife told me her ME2 ingame character hooked up with Garrus. I went "WTF" O.o, and it's not a 'oh cause its funny' thing either o.O
Well life is full of surprises it seems.
You sound like my husband. He didn't get it at first, either.
Then I loaded and showed him Jacob's "flirtation" dialogue. And I quote: "Yeah, stick with the turian. At least he'll respect you in the morning."

Am I the only one here whose spouse is ridiculously jealous of Garrus and all his heat-sink popping glory? I mean don't get me wrong, it's a totally valid feeling. It's Garrus after all. But it stings a bit when the hubs tells me I ruined bromance with Garrus forever.
He also hates Alistair. I can't imagine why.

BTW Soltana, your hubby hates Alistair? LOL!
Hell, I still don't really get it but... may have to take some pointers from Garrus to keep wifey happy lol! Heh just told her that too.

Still, it's gotta be awkward for him knowing I think Garrus is attractive. ;P But he still plays with Garrus on his squad, so I like to think he's really okay with it, as long as I don't flash everything in his face....like a certain folder.......>.>

My DH will give me that "Okay, crazy lady" smile and tell me it's okay when I apologize for gushing about somehing Garrus-related or things that get talked about in this thread. BUt I've given him plenty an opportunity to tell me to stop and he hasn't yet, soo...

I've gotten the smile too. But what's hilarious is, barring the obvious alien stint, Garrus morality and my husband's are frightenly similar. So I just tell him BioWare hacked his brain and gave me a digital version. <.<

What I'm surprised about though... is how all your hubbies are jealous about Garrus or Alistair!!!
Heh, since wifey smacked my hands off the keyboard and played Dragon Age she's been gaming ever since and I love it! Meh... maybe I'm just the only one.

Looks like there's a mature crowd in here. Good to know other married folk are here... though I seem to be the only married man at the moment in this thread! Heh

He loves that I play these games, but I tend to get obsessed occasionally. That's what he doesn't like.
Course, the obsession is good when it makes me want to write again.

BTW: Obsessed in what way? I still remember wifey going berserk on me and hitting me after what happened (DAO spoiler - MUST NOT POST) on her first character.

Do you give husband lessons?
My own dearest love waited for me to sit down and watch to play his suicide mission....and then turned around and laughed at me when Garrus took a bullet to the gut and died. O I loves that one I do. And all this was after how vehemently I denied thinking turians (Garrus esp.) are hawt (lies!) I'd hate to see him if he ever accidentally finds the fabled Garrus folder of legend lurking within my laptop. My husband is otherwise unthreatened by real non-pixelated men. Now what does that say about me? xD

To be honest, I was just as obsessed about Carth and Atton Rand, just didn't know fic existed.
It's a writing exercise and has helped me in my own work, so he's gotten over it and stopped calling it an obsession.
And frankly, exploring the relationship between my Shepard and Garrus has helped with my "real" work.

So Soltana, your hubby is threatened by Garrus, but not real non-pixelated men? O.O
Now you're starting to make me think wifey has a folder somewhere with Garrus pics... >.>

And you never know about that folder...The allure of Garrus is a strong one to resist...

You girls are crazy. I don't want to marry him, I just want to hide in his closet and listen to him talk for a few hours.
I don't recall anyone here saying they wanted to marry him.
(For future reference, you might also want to avoid the whole "crazy fangirl" thing too, even if you were joking. People sometimes tend to get touchy about being labeled as crazy.)

I'm not that fussed about being labelled as a crazy fanboy, because to be honest I am, but I guess you're right, I should probably stop talking about crazy fangirls.
Is it strange that I'm in possession of the magic folder?

EDIT: On the other note:Once he saw early Garrus' art on a postcards added to a retail game version (which I use as my bookmark XD ) he said: "Why does this cat have a toilet seat around his neck?" (upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/70/Masseffect_09_450x265.jpg)Clueless I tell you:D

If that ever becomes a reality I will buy it without second thought.
Though if they haven't even considered it until now, it'll probably be a long time before we get anything like that, if we do at all. Still, I'm shocked (and pleased) that they're even considering it!
I think that ME2 needs one more than DA:O. The romances in the ME series are far less substantial.
