I'm still curious. Was she the only one who had any exta lines at the end relating to LI?

Why, no, not the only one. Jacob in fact had a scripted cutscene with a long kiss. Huge wet sloppy kiss and proclamation of him wanting moar.

Why am I even posting that? I only romanced Jacob during my Braindead Shepard playthrough. And I only ever saw that kiss when she came up to break it up and die in Morinth' arms. A fitting end for the character who was brain dead.

... I  hope this concludes my strange pro-Jacob posting rampage today (that consists of... two posts in total). No more pro-Jacob posting...

Why is she in a dress? Is that a clothing option you get after you take care of the Collector Base?

And . . . eww. I hate that Jacob has this whole "I Am Suave" voice going on, when both Thane and Garrus could probably give him lessons in charm. Except for when Garrus is too busy falling over himself around Shepard, of course. 

On pet names: I could possibly maybe see Shepard or Garrus referring to the other as "love" in certain situations. Mostly I just see them referring to each other as "human/turian" or by last name in a teasing tone.

You have to change in a game file something. Or download already changed one. I have my femShep walking around in a consort clothes. LOL

Garrus and Thane you can talk to and learn more about them without it getting icky. I wish they had thrown in a bit more about Garrus's backstory though. He's a nice bro(mance) to a male Shepard, for example when you're reminiscing about your service in the Alliance, musing about the fact that the Normandy needs a bar/lounge, or in those moments when he's being all bitter about his "romantic" relationship with Miranda failing - feels like you can be a real 'bro there, commiserating and all.

And, well, FemShep doesn't have to take the "Are you Single?"-route if she doesn't want to, there are plenty of other things you can ask him... please don't hit me now, I love Garrus the best, I just felt like defending lil' old Jacob a bit 'cause he gets so much heat from everywhere for not being 100% badass.

As for Jacob. I don't think he is a bad character at all. I just think that his romance is bad as bad romance can be. I like his VA, background. He is collected, emotionally stable individuall and is faaaar better written than Miranda. Just this ROMANCE!

Same here. i was dying to ask Garrus how/if he broke it to his family that he was leaving C-Sec, and Citadel Space, for a good long while.

My favorite thing about Jacob's character is the finale line he was with femShep. That whole "We're gonna go drinking on the Citadel" thing with the handshake. It's the perfect encapsulation of their relationship for me. And the stuff with his dad, his history of being screwed over by the Alliance, were legitimately interesting. But the fact that I couldn't just ask him how he was doing without my femShep giving him a seductive smile was VERY irritating. Shepard's heart belongs to Garrus, dammit!!!

As for the romance, I have to admit that I haven't really been through that with any of my FemSheps yet, so truthfully I can't be the greatest judge.

One bit I liked though, was the conversation where Jacob actually asks you what kind of weight YOU are carrying around with you in terms of emotional stress and/or trauma, and you can respond with feeling lonely, the responsibilities of command getting to you, or specific things connected to your "Origin" etc...

Always nice for the PC to have an opportunity to whine and rant to someone about his/her emotional trauma, as opposed to everyone just dumping THEIRS on you without any chance of retaliation.

And I also liked his truthful assertion in that regard, that Commander Shepard would actually have more reason to rant and whine about stress than any of them.

...BUT, this is not the "Jacob Appreciation" thread, so I'm gonna shut up now

On Topic I'll say another huuuuge hooray for Garrus, he is waaaaay awesome as far fictional characters go, and he needs to spend less time calibrating, obviously.

I romanced Garrus and Jacob, wanted to see that part where you get to choose Garrus over Jacob and his reaction. I finished the game and Jacob is still waiting on me to chose and I already got the advice from Mordin about turians and also Garrus finished calibrating and visited Shepard to her room...Jacob is even now waiting for my decision.

No one else asked how my Shep was holding up.   Course, I don't think Garrus needed to ask.  As her oldest pal other than Tali, he'd probably already know.

Yeah, it seems that way. Bioware may have wanted to allay fears that you get her sick and kill her and added the postgame line.

Incredibly unfortunate. We're still stuck with the "I can't believe we're going to do this" lines. I'd at least like to know if he considers it more than just a tiebreaker sort of situation by now, though the implication is that he does. But I'm not satisfied with implications. ME1 implied things, and that did not go over well.

In my femShep game Tali also runs a fever, I can't remember if it was before or after the SM (and thus where romance scene would be) though.  But I always paragoned her and hugged her and stuff and she even told my femShep she was the only one she would link suits with.  Think it's just what's left after they cut out the F/F romance.  But she still gets sick if you don't romance her.  Which then sucks for Talimancers I guess since it's *not* a unique line for them.

So jacob gets an extra scene? God.. You know I don't want to really yell at bioware, but come the hell on. How do you create a few extra scenes for LI's like that without consideration for everyone!? You know how happy it would have made us for some closure similar to that?

I mean come on guys, back me up here, wouldn't an extra scene after the suicide mission like that with garrus have made you happy forever? I know it would have with me! Instead (either intentional or unintentional) we get garrus seemingly ignoring us.. Uncool..

This may seem trivial to some, but I feel it deserves mention from Bioware. Either you give an extra to everybody, or nobody at all. You can't just pick and choose and say "OH derp this LI Is more important so we'll give him one" They are all equally important - they were the second you gave us the option to romance them

Really?  I'll have to check this out at the end of my game.  That sounds more like a bug than anything.  Or else hugs are deadly to Quarians

Is there any way to go poking around the audio files in the game to see if there's any missed Garrus dialog that didn't make it in game?  I've seen youtube videos of Tali/Legion in the Archangel mission and some of a maleshep "romance" dialog with Kaidan on Horizon, among other things.

I think it's just different writers took care of different romances, hence the difference. Or Garrus was made as last one, as an afterthought maybe, so they did not have time to do more.

Ah, I am back hijacking this thread. And I am really, really sorry. You can practically taste my regret. But...

Everyone thinks he's stable. Am I the only who noticed he's suicidal?

He actively seeks death.
And he refuses to talk about it.
And if you try to press him, he cuts off all communication.
And then he goes on to actively seek death again.
Jacob is hiding something, and this mystery is killing me, damn it! It's like he is some kind of placeholder for development in ME3
